My ITunes got corrupted and I kept getting a message when updating iTunes64msi missing so I uninstalled all files and I thought I removed all registry values but  when reinstalling I get an older version is installed and cannot be removed. I need a solution.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Anyone else get err=1403 corrupted download file

I've tried downloading 5 times. Every time after the download it validates the 551.4MB file and returns a corrupt file err=1403. Anyone else with this issue and solved it.

I'm on Windows 7 and none of the above things made a difference.  One other thing to try, which worked for me was to run iTunes as Administrator.
Exit out of iTunes, if you have it running.
Right-click the iTunes link and select Run as Administrator
    Download and install the update
The error message innacurate, since this error apparently also occurs if iTunes can't get the appropriate access to decompress the firmware.
Any Apple support engineers watching this discussion, take note and add it to the big list of things to try when updates fail

  • Unable to open downloaded files in Safari

I am trying to download files thru my Safari. The files shows as downloaded and appears on my downloads list but when I tried double-clicking the file, I get an error message thats says:
Safari cannot show the file "Sample File Name.exe"
Safari cannot show the file "Sample File Name.exe" because "Sample File Name.exe" has moved since you downloaded it.
I hope you guys can help. BTW, Im using Window 7, if that helps.
    Thank you.

I do not remember how things were in 10.5.8, but I think there is an option in Preferences.
I do not understand to what group you refer when saying ‘am not the only one’.

  • Getting "Unable to write cache file" message in DW CS4

I was having some issues with a Javascript message, so looking for possible solutions, I came across “Deleting a Corrupted Cache File” in the Index to Dreamweaver FAQ located on this forum. I decided to give it a shot and carefully followed the instructions on my Windows XP, deleting the suggested cache file in my Configuration folder. That didn’t help make my Javascript message go away, though I did eventually find a work-around for that issue.
However, after deleting this cache file, I began to get the following message every time I close my program or change sites in local files, “Unable to write cache file ‘C:\Documents and Settings\...” the message ends with the site name and the extension .dws.  If I go to Manage Sites and turn off the Enable Cache button for that particular site, I no longer get the message. But if I turn the Enable Cache Button back on, I get the message again. It gives this same message for all the sites.
I’m hoping others have had this issue and there is a simple fix. I can’t say for sure that deleting the cache file in the configuration folder caused this, but it was only after that I began noticing the problem, so it would make sense the two are likely related.
Also, I wonder how important the cache is. I could just turn off the Enable Cache Button for all the sites as a work-around if there's no quick fix and if it’s no big deal.

First of all, only delete cache files when DW is shutdown.
Also, there are a few different caches. That article only addresses 1 of them. Take a look at this TechNote to be able to find the Site .dws cache files:
