When upgraded to firefox 3.6.13 i lost ALL bookmarks!!
I was told I needed to upgrade firefox to 3.6.13 to continue. After the restart I have lost all bookmarks. Please help.
I don't know what previous version. 2nd reply has sent me a link. Does it matter what version when you restore?

How i can have all my opened tab when upgrade my firefox?
now i'm still using very old Firefox 3.6.12, and i want to upgrede it. I always using "save and quit" to my all opened tab when quit and not using bookmarks. total about 300+ tab opened.
i already try upgrade once and all my tab is lost. and because of that i do system restore and reintall with old one again.
how i can have all my opened tab when upgrade my firefox?
sorry my english is mess....I do not think anything much has changed with the Firefox system restore files and how they are handled so it may be possible to keep these and use them after an upgrade in a new version of Firefox.

You may be surprised and find Firefox still has the old tabs once it is reinstalled.

In future I suggest you do not try to rely on keeping 300 tabs open all the time without bookmarking them. You will at some stage probably lose some or all of these tabs, or their related states and history.

** Open tabs do not keep well & may be lost.

When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS7, I lost all my app icons. Where did they go? Interestingly they are still listed in notifications and I could play words with friends when I got a message on the home screen that it was my turn (but still no icon)

Upgrade to Firefox 11 and lost all bookmarks.
I have upgrade to Firefox 11 and lost all bookmarks. None of the on-line articles help. Please advise on how to recover the bookmarks. I have tried to go to the pages that I use and it will not let me bookmark them.

If so, copy those somewhere safe before proceeding.
If not, do you ever back up your profile folder?
You also might navigate up a level and see whether you have any other Firefox profiles.
If you cannot save any new bookmarks, I wonder whether your places.sqlite file (stores history and bookmarks) in your profile has become corrupted. You might need to rename that file and allow Firefox to create a new one before you can save new bookmarks again. I wouldn't delete the file just yet, as it might contain some useful stuff. -
When I use Firefox without menu bar I can see bookmarks. How ever when I activate menu bar the bookmark is missing from toolbar. I tried opening in safe mode and resetting toolbar but it didn't fix the issue. I am using version 7.0
Do you mean the Bookmarks Menu button on the Navigation Toolbar?
You only see that button if the menu bar is hidden. -
My aunt recently upgraded her software to ios 6 and lost all of her contacts. However, when I updated my software this did NOT happen. She hasn't backed up to iCloud, so does anyone know of a way to restore her contacts without the iCloud?

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service regularly. If she failed to do this, then they are likely gone. -

You don't have the game or the game data?
Games can be redownloaded in the App Store app. If the game offers in-app purchases, there is a setting in the game that allows you to redownload past purchases.
If you haven't back up, my first question is why? Even if you get the game back, your progress may not be retained. You may still have hope if the developers save your user progress either on their serers or in Game Center. You can only try and hope that is the case. -
When I updated to iOS 8.3 I lost all shared photo albums on my iPad Air. Other devises which I shared to still have access to photo albums but my iPad does not, therefore I can no longer add or delete to shared albums. I can create new shared albums.

If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

i got new iphone and when i connect it to my pc, it lost all my current data and replaced it with the backup on my computer, which is from april. so i have lost all my calendar information and schedule. does anyone know how i can reverse this and get my information back?
Every backup replaces the old one, so, unless you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you can't get back your calendar info.
The only time iTunes will not replace a backup is, when you use it to restore from, this one will stay in the backup list in iTunes.

Hi, I just updated my mac from version10.6 to 10.9.3 os mavericks. i went to open iPhoto and it says "Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade." does this mean I have lost all photos i had in there? It does not give me a choice, it just says quit or upgrade? p.s. i didn't realise ther was a way to back up my computer beforehand, which i am guessing this is time machine?

All media should be in iTunes on the computer, simply sync it back.

I've recesally had to take my Iphone to be repaired before I. took my phone i backed up my data into Icloud and when i got my new phone I have lost all my contacts and photos. Hi, I am using Firefox 5. Suddenly I lost my bookmarks toolbar even though I have selected it to be visible in the view option. But I can still view the bookmarks toolbar in my all-in one side bar
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
*Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar

Same thing happened to me. From what I have read, if you sign into icloud, can you see your contacts there? If so, there is a procedure to get them back on your phone.
In my case, there are no contacts there either. Now what?
