When uploading pictures to laptop all previous photos uploaded will upload also.

When I connect my iphone 5 to my laptop to upload my photos it "checks" the previously uploaded photots as well. So everytime I just want the recent ones saved on my computer I have to save all the previous ones again which is taking up space now on my laptop of all the multiples. Is there a setting that I can change either in itunes, my phone, or my laptop to change this?

Are you always importing these photos to the same computer? The import software should (as mine does in Windows) recognize that photos have been imported in the past and will not import them again, just the ones that are new. You might want to check the settings in the import software to see if you have changed that setting. The default is what I described.

When you forward an email, it will be sent to any previous addressees, only whomever you choose to forward it to. If you are referring to text in the email body that includes previous address information, simply edit it before sending.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • When i ask siri to remind me of something, will it also list on ipad and computer?

when i ask siri to remind me of something, will it also list on ipad and computer?

Apparently Reminders can either be a reminder or an event.  If a reminder that's placed on Siri from the iPhone, it will stay ONLY on the iphone.  If it's recorded as an event (not sure how to do that), it will transfer as you've said previously.  I have done as everyone has said and "reminders" are not showing on anything but the iphone.

  • How do I find out when a picture was downloaded in my photo file on my ipad

I'm trying to find out when a picture was added to photos on my iPad.  Is there away to do so?

i'm not entirely sure about the new tab page - in principle it will use an algorithm which populates the slots based on the frequency & the recency of visits. however i think that sites removed from the history should also disappear from the new tab page (when i tried it it was at least true after i've restarted the browser once) - if this isn't happening for you then it might be some bug...
in any case firefox won't have the proper features to reliably monitor your kids' browsing behaviour - they always can use private browsing mode where no traces will be left on the pc or manually "clean up" the history.

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

  • How can i upload pictures on icloud from i photos

I am interested to know how to upoad pictures from iphoto t icloud

This page tells you how to set up PhotoStream:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmbc40255b
Note that photos uploaded to PhotoStream are not visible online. It's purely a conduit for moving your photos between devices. All photos taken on, for example, your iPhone will turn up in iPhoto and on any other devices - you can't choose to sync only some photos, delete individual photos from the server or, as I say, view them online.

  • Colors don't match when printing pictures on J4860 all-in-one

When I print pictures, the colors are not true.  It doesn't matter what software I use, but usually it's Photoshop CS3.  I thought it was my monitor - that I wasn't seeing the true colors in my files.  But I've been able to verify that the colors on screen match the subject in the photo.  The prints from the HP J4860 do not match the screen images.  I currently have new ink, and they are new HP cartridges, not generic or refilled cartridges, but this has been a problem through many ink cartridge replacements.

    Hi there.
I don't know if there is much we can do to improve your output.  First off, I want confirm you are using an OfficeJet J4680.  We don't have a J4860.
Could you post an image that is unsatisfying, and let us know what you dislike?  I'm going to involve a color expert here, and he'll look to see if we can do anything.
    regards, CF

How do I pull over all of the photos from my drop box camera upload?

If you have Dropbox installed on any computer(s), your photos are already there.  That's the whole point of Dropbox.
Just open the Dropbox folder on any of your computers.  Anything you copy to that folder (directory) and anything you upload to your Dropbox account from any computer in the world, will automatically appear in your Dropbox in all of your computers.

  • Is it possible to upload videos from laptop to icloud photo library?

I've been able to upload photos from my laptop but not videos.  Does anyone know if it is possible or will be possible to upload videos from a laptop to my icloud photo library?

Sorry to be an absolute pain but the video i'm trying as the link suggests is currently playing in quicktime and i want to put it onto my desktop so that I can transfer it into itunes...
The video in the article is just an example video that you can use while walking through the article.
Since you've already got the videos in iTunes and they appear to be syncing, you can just work with those videos iTunes. Just select your video in iTunes> click Advanced> click Create iPod or iPhone Version and then try selecting and syncing that video in iTunes.
iTunes will convert many video formats, if it cannot convert yours into an iPhone compatible format, you may need to use a 3rd-party utility to convert the video.

  • Hi I cannot play music on my Ipod lately. I can play the mucis when connected to the laptop. When not connected to laptop, all mucis icons read "No music" which is incorrect. Any ideas welcomed  Frank

    Hi,
I cannot play mucis on my Ipod lately and cannot solve this problem.
There is music there and I can play it connected to laptop.
Without connection to laptop I can play radio but not music.
All mucis icons read "No music" and this is not correct
    Any help apprecaited
    Frank

This category is for iPod shuffle.  Is that the type of iPod you have, because your description of the problem does not sound like it's about a shuffle?  If it's not a shuffle, what is the iPod model...?
There is music there and I can play it connected to laptop.
Are you doing the playing using the iPod, or are you playing the music using iTunes on the laptop?
All mucis icons read "No music" and this is not correct
Do these icons with "No music" appear on the laptop's screen, or on the iPod's screen

  • How to upload pictures from iCloud from previous 4s to new 4s?

My iPhone 4S was stolen the day of my sons second birthday. All of the birthday pictures were on the phone. I have just gotten a new iPhone 4S and have opened the same iCloud account. Under settings it shows my current phone and the one that was stolen. It shows that my old phone had done a backup the day it was taken. I don't know how to access those pictures or to get them to my current cell phone or if that is even possible. I am not technologically savvy and I am at a complete loss. Thanks, Janea

Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial iPhone setup process.  If you have any newer data on your new phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  You will then go through the setup screens on the phone and will be given the option to Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Select this option, then select the backup of your old phone to restore to.  Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.
