When using Adobe Reader 11 and entering info on a US government form, 2d Barcode is grayed

2d barcode greyed out when any info is entered into the form...

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the quick response...Here is the link to the document.
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864.pdf
I have tried several different things, including different computers, tried to open using Firefox / IE / Chrome (None of these even display the 2D barcode portion) and well as another PDF reader.
Basically when using Adobe Reader 11, I can see the 2D barcode normally, but when I even enter a single letter into any field, the 2D barcode is 'greyed' out.
I have searched on the forum and saw another similar post that was mentioning something about a 'license' issue, etc.  As I am the end user, there is nothing that I can do in the modification to the file, as it is a protected file (i.e. I can only comlete and print this document).
Thanks for the help.

  • I am experiencing blurriness when using adobe reader and acrobat pro

Both the text and the screen and the entire program appears blurry!
    Why is that?

It sounds like you are attempting to use the SCUP catalogs outside of the MS solution.  I can almost guarantee you that Adobe didn't test it if it's not referenced in the ETK:  11   SCCM-SCUP — Enterprise Administration Guide
That being said there "should" be logging available in any deployment solution.   Since I am not familiar with Solar-Winds particular solution I can't say if it logs errors and how verbose those logs might be.    If you have logs then post the output and the forum members "might" be able to assist you.

  • I cannot open pdf files from one supplier when using Adobe Reader but I can using another Viewer

I cannot open pdf files from one supplier when using Adobe Reader but I can open it if using Google PDF viewer or another viewer. The Adobe reader gives the error "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" when I try to open the file. The version of Adobe Reader is 10.1.7, however I have tried other versions and they all fail the same way.  I have tested on a number of different PC's in different networks and all fail using Adobe Reader but work using alternate viewer. Also the PC's will open a PDF from any other source.

Newer Reader versions are more strict than older versions (and other PDF viewers).  If certain minimum requirements are not met, Reader will tell you that the PDF is damaged.  This can happen when a document was created with software that does not adhere to PDF standards, or when the file was damaged during a download or email transmission.
You should contact the creator of these PDFs.

  • Can Data Be Written To A Called PDF When Using Adobe Reader 9?

Can data be written and saved to another called pdf when using Adobe READER 9?

You'll have to expand on your description for a full answer - but all things considered, it would be possible.
If the "called" (this is one of the things you need to clarify - do you mean a PDF opened via the JavaScript openDoc method?) PDF discloses itself, then the "calling" PDF can execute an importXFDF or similar call on that PDF as long as they are Reader Extended.
Past that, you'll need to give us more information on exactly what you're trying to do.

  • I am trying to print using adobe reader and i can't. this hasn't happened before and allstate doesn'

i am trying to print using adobe reader and suddenly, i can't. please help.

Might be helpful to have more details like, what version of Reader, where you are getting the PDF's and what "exactly" happens when you try and print (along with the steps taken to get to that point). And it sounds like Allstate has something to do with it. Might be helpful to know where they come in.

  • Recommended hardware configuration when using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

    Hello!
I am an Illustrator who uses Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop most of the time. Today I am using Adobe CS5.5 suite and is thinking of getting the Adobe CC. As my computer today is abit old and "tired", I am unsure about what to focus on when updating my hardware?
I am using today a HP workstation with following hardware:
    Software:
    Windows 7
    Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5
    Hardware:
    Processor:              Intel i7-2600 3,4GHz
    Internal memory:     8,00 GB DDR3
Disc drive:               500GB SATA disk 7200rpm
Graphics card:        NVIDIA GeForce GT 1GB
Since I work both with Technical Illustrations with loads of anchor points in Adobe Illustrator, I get sometimes error messages like "Out of memory" and such. I read about having two discs, one system disc and one work folder disc, that would solve that problem. But I am also working alot with large illustrations for comercial and advertising situations and I feel that it tend to get a bit slow, especially when I add gradients and blendmodes to an illustration.
So If I could get som recomendations of what to focus on to boots the speed in my system, also taking into account that my budget is somewhat small, I would really appreciate it!
    Best regards
    Ulf

I have similar setup to yours.
From my point of view you need more RAM. I have 16GB. Than you will need to change in preferences to adjust memory used by PS and Illustrator. Maybe take a look at virtual memory in Windows and disable aero effects.
Disk. It is better to have one disk for system (eg.SSD) and one for documents. But don't buy something like WD Green series that is intended for backup.
Graphics. It is not a major player I think for your tasks, but OpenGl can speed up rendering in Photoshop and Illustrator.
When exporting AI with layers to PSD it will always show "out of memory" unless you turn off anti aliasing.
and the most important thing reinstall Windows after some time... It will work faster.

  • Firefox crashes when using adobe reader retriving pdf files

For instance when I tried to get a pdf file from the IRS web site using adobe reader firefox crashes it also does the same thing on other sites with pdf files what would be the problem and how could I resolve this issue.

    Hi roy6640,
Have you looked at the Knowledge Base articles [[Troubleshooting plugins]] or [[Using the Adobe Reader plugin with Firefox]]? There is some good information in there. You may want to try reinstalling the plugin as well or updating it if it is out of date.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Error Message when using Adobe Reader 8

Just recently when I have opened Adobe Reader 8 to read info on a web site, an ERROR REPORT window has opened. Can anyone suggest why this is happening and what should I do to remedy it.

Try being sure you are logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus turned off. Other than that, you should go to the Reader forum for that product.

  • LaTeX table rules disappear when using Adobe Reader

    Hi,
I created a PDF document using LaTeX and used the LaTeX command \cellcolor to create colored cells in tables. When I view the document with the Adobe Reader some table rules of colored cells dissapear. This is not the case when using Preview on a Mac. The lines become visible when I zoom into the document (>300%) and when I print from Adobe Reader. Hence, it seems to be a problem with the rendering that Adobe Reader does. According to various disscussions on the internet many people seem to have similar problems. However, nobody provided a good solution for it.
Any suggestions to solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sebastian
    Adobe Reader screen shot:
    Preview screen shot:

I am not quite sure if it is a problem with the pdf generator since the problem is not present when using other pdf viewers or when zooming in with Adobe Reader. It might be a problem of the Adobe Reader.

  • How to resolve issues when using Adobe Reader DC with LEED Online?

This morning I downloaded Adobe Reader DC however now I am no longer able save the PDF in LEED Online.  How do I resolve this issue or revert back to the older version of Adobe Reader?

Before the DC version we were able to save our passwords from University of Phoenix and when opening the document saved to our computer it would unlock automatically.  This new version DC will not allow this even when you say Yes.
The Right Column in previous versions would allow to disable until requested to appear this version it opens regardless.
Just my opinion here  Adobe Failed at customer satisfaction on this UPGRADE.
    Regards a unhappy Adobe user.

  • Page tiles not showing when using Adobe Muse and Web marketing hosting

    Hello
I have created a muse site that has the correct page titles showing in the browser when using the web basics hosting. But I need the same site to now contain a blog so have changed the hosting to web marketing, this has resulted in the pages not showing their page titles in the browser
Does anybody know why this is or what I can do about it?
    thanks for any info
    regards
    Martin

Page title should not change with site plan change unless it is done manually , or if modified file is uploaded from Muse.
Please check the titles added on page if they exist or not, if still same issue , provide the site url.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • I downloaded Adobe Reader and now I cn't open online forms such as statements and manuals. I could open these documents before the installation-any ideas? I have a Mac.

Please help me with this issue if you can.

I don't know what application I could see them in before, they just opened when I clicked on them. The online docs ar, for instance, my bank statements which used to view perfectly until I installed the reader. My default browser is Safari, I think. The PDF docs I have saved to my computer load fine as do some PDF email attachments from contacts.
When I try and open a pdf from my bank, I get a new window with a white rectangle in the center of it that has the red Adobe icon and some Asian script in it. I've also gotten the message " Adobe reader not supported for this document" which usually asks if I want to trust it and when I say "yes" the window with the box init that I just described pops up and I still can't see the doc.
