I'm having difficulty with video txt msgs.
Video txt msgs that I send to my son for some reason are loosing the audio once he gets them. I test them prior to sending them and the audio is fine on my end, but when he gets them he says he can't hear a word. I haven't tried sending any to anyone else, so there is at least a remote possibility that it is his carrier or his phone. They are very small so they are easily transmitted....etc. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be up and how I might possibly take care of this? Thanks in advance.
No I haven't tried sending one to anyone else (as of yet). Well, since you done that test and it came out ok, then more than likely my sons carrier is most likely the problem. I dought if it is his phone, as I just helped him to get a brand new one. I can't remember exactly what phone it is, but I do know that it is a smart phone. He uses Cricket. Thanks for the reply.

Use FaceTime to record a video with screen sharing?
I need to record a presentation, going back and forth between me talking and demonstrating my company's new iPhone app. The app runs in the Xcode iOS simulator on my MacBook, and my MacBook has a FaceTime camera (720p!). Is there a way to use FaceTime to record a video? Skype has screen sharing. You can just click a button and the caller sees what's on your computer screen. Then you click again to return to the caller seeing you talking. Does FaceTime have a screen sharing feature? Is there another app I should be using?

When using FaceTime, my iMac makes noises. It dings like I am receiving an email and sometimes sounds like a busy signal, but this is while I am talking to someone. Any suggestions?

I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..

Recently, I found with iPad Mini w/o Retina, iOS 7.0.4, the sound comes only from left side of my earphone when listening music, watching YouTube videos, even playing system sound. But the sound come from both sides when using FaceTime.
Earphone is not broken. Plug completely into the audio jack. This problem only shows up recently, worked fine weeks ago.
Anyone has the same problem? Or has some solution on this issue?Settings>General>Accessibility>HEARING>Adjust the Left and Right Speaker with slider

When using FaceTime, all other sounds are muted. This defeats functionality. When will this be corrected? Does anyone know of a "fix" for this problem? This definately is NOT a feature.
yes, that is exactly what mine did too. I noticed that something is wrong after receiving calls and did not hear anything.
It was like the IPhone did not realize that the headphone is not any longer plugged in. I m not sure weather I plugged/unplugged the headphones after this more than once but it startet working correctly. -

If the other person can't see you during a FaceTime call, first use the Camera app on the iPhone to make sure the camera is working properly. If you don't see an image when using the Camera app, try these troubleshooting steps first:
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

They have to be either plugged in via headphone jack or the dock port at the bottom. If you can. I've used it on apple tv, but that's it. I don't know if the others work, but I don't see why not. Try plugging in speakers in the headphone jack. You will get an answer :)
