I have tried some of the sugestions in other feeds but no success. I have uninstalled/reinstalled mozilla, checked for 'anti-philshing' in the add/remove programes, deleted history, cookies and cache. What else is there to do? (ps don't use technical language as I will have no idea what you are talking about!!!)

  • I can not get to my yahoo email with F4. Everything I click on comes up "Not found. The requested URL /mc/showMessage was not found on this server."

MF4 doesn't work with yahoo email

Since something is not being found on the server the problem here is not with Firefox most likely. There may be some type of caching going on here. I would suggest clearing your cache and if the problem persists contacting Yahoo. You can clear your cache by following the instructions found on this page [[How to clear the cache]].

  • I get "The requested URL /mc/welcome was not found on this server." when trying to log into Yahoo email

I can log into my Yahoo accounts with IE. I've tried disabling my plug-ins and extensions and logging in under safe mode. It's also not a version issue. I've been using 3.6.13 for a while and the problem first arose about 3 days ago. Upgrading to version 4 doesn't help either.

I had the exact same problem and I found it to be in the Panda Cloud anti-virus software. Panda Cloud added on a "URL SECURITY" feature and this started the problem. I uninstalled this "feature" and problem solved.

  • I received (and opened) a mail from a friend, it contained a link that I could not open ( I tried, though) . It was a hacked message, she later apologized.. Can my iPad2 be affected? please advise

I received ( and opened, because I knew her address as safe) a mail from  friend, it contained a link that I tried to open, but it could not.
It was clear it was a hacked email, she then apologized..could my iPad2 be affected by this? Please advise, thank you.

You SHOULD be safe. The iPad's operating system is different from PC or Mac ones, and most viruses and malware are written to infect PC's or Mac's.
If, for example, that link led to an .exe file the iOS can't run that so it does nothing.

  • Ever since Firefox updated, I cannot view slideshows on websites. If I click the "Next" button to see the next slide in an article, nothing happens. Why is this? How can it be fixed? I've cleaered cache, done everything.

When I try to view any article with a slideshow, the next button on the slideshow doesn't work. It doesn't matter which website, it doesn't happen in other browsers (ie Chrome), and it didn't happen prior to the recent Firefox update. I've cleared cache, checked all of the settings, and nothing's fixing this. How do I fix it?

  • When using firefox to search and then print, the printing is very small. This doesn't happen when using another browzer? Can I fix?

When visiting different web sites (fidelity, sutter health , etc) from the Firefox browzer and I try and print, the printing always comes out very small like maybe a size 4 or 6. When I use another browzer it comes out normal size. Is there a way I can correct this? Also you should know I'm not real computer smart.
Thanks for any help you can provide

Once you set that preference it should hold that setting. You could try 125% but it might clip the right-side of the page.

  • I get an error message when trying to view yahoo email. It says to wait awhile and try again. It continues to do this. How can this be resolved?

  • I use Firefox at work and home. I have different screens on thee two computers. I can't figure out how to make them the same even though all settings match.

At home the address bar etc is grey but my settings are for rose. At work using the colour settings the address bar is rose. I have a different setup with icons on the two screens. At home I have the refresh icon between the search bar and address bar, at work I can't find the refresh icon. I have tried customizing and all I still can't the same screens. Both computers are running Windows XP. I believe I am running the same version of Firefox in both computers.

  • I've used Firefox for years and have never had a problem. Since the last upgrade I can only download items once in awhile. I have to go to Safari to do my downloads.

I have a Mac OS MacBook Pro. I do not have a problem downloading on Safari. For instance, I can't download statements from my accounts or photos from Kodak Gallery.

You can also try to move (delete) the Firefox plist file.<br />
See [http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060606082246983 How .plist files become corrupt and troubleshooting the results]<br />
Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

  • Trying to communicate with HP54845A using IVIscope routines and getting error 0XBFFF0011 (Insufficient location information or the requested device or resource is not present in the system).

I am able to talk to the device using the MAX tool and also using Plug & Play VIs. The device is at address 7, so I'm using the string GPIB[0]::7::INSTR. I have downloaded the latest hp345xx dll (version 3.13)and have iviscope version 3.0.2.0 installed.
    Thank you for the help.

    Hello,
What version of the IVI Compliance package do you have? You can check this under the software tab in MAX. Also, see the attached screenshots for a sample assignment/configuration of a logical name and a driver session. Once you have gone through the analagous steps it should work, where your resource name control in LabVIEW should be populated with the logical name created in MAX.
