When using garageband I cannot change audio entrance

Hello
I need to connect a sound mixer to the Macbook via minijack audio entrance. Even I have changed the settings for audio input in System Preferences (from internal mic to external line) garageband is not recognizing any external input and internal mic is always active.
Someone had the same problem?

if the problem only affects this one application ts a strong indication that the issue is caused by that application and not spaces. you can try resetting preferences for spaces and swordfish. quit swordfish, go to the folder homedirectory/library/preferences and delete the file com.apple.dock.plist and the plist for swordfish. I don't know what that one would be called so you'll have to look. then log out/in. your dock and spaces will be reset to the defaults. set them up and see if Swordfish changes spaces correctly now. if it doesn't then the problem is with Swordfish and you should take it up with Swordfish devs.

That is usually an indication that some JavaScript aren't working properly on the Gmail site.

Kernel Panic when using Garageband with Blue Snowball USB mic

I've been getting a number of kernel panics when using USB Mics with Skype, though I have not experienced any crashes when using Garageband.
The crash report cited the AppleUSBAudio driver as the culprit. Here's the set up:

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

When using safari, I cannot reduce a page to see another page I previously opened. The reduce bottom is not at the top of the page.

Missing Audio when Using MediaCapture to Record an Audio File

When I use MediaCapture to record an audio file, save it to Azure Blob Storage, and then download it to play it back invariably the first 5 to 6 seconds of the recording are blank. Is there some fix to this? The code I'm using is the standard, as shown below.

Does the record file lost the first 5 seconds when complete recording in windows phone? We need avoid the confounding factors with Azure. Please test it.
If lost, we can use the code sample from MSDN code gallery to test whether the problem is persists. Post the result here and I will check if this is a known issue.

Illustrator crashes when using save as and changing the save location yosemite OS

I am having a problem with illustrator crashing when using save as to save a file to another location than the one it was previously saved in. It will save to the same location just fine but on macbook pro with yosemite os it crashes immediately when i change the save location. Tried reinstall and also tried other users and still does it. Any solutions?

When using Preview can I change highlight color

I like using Preview because it is so fast when opening a pdf file.
When I use the search function and get a list of all the found items, I start browsing each of the pages. However, the text is highlighted with a light gray bar. As this is difficult to see, I would like to change the color.
Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

Using shift - tab a couple of times changes the highlighted text in the PDF to the selected preferred color that is set in Appearance in system preferences.

Input problem on my macbook when using garageband

i cant figure out whats wrong with the input on my macbook. on garageband when i turn the monitor on it used to work fine when i plug just my electric guitar and sometimes effect pedals to the input. but lately when i used it, it wouldnt work anymore. i tried it using my amp and it worked fine but before i didnt need to use my amp..just the guitar. i plugged my acoustic electric guitar as well and my synthesizer and both worked fine. both has a battery inside. im not sure but i think this started to happen right after i updated my macbook with the 10.4.10 update a few months ago. the only thing that works now involves either a battery or a power supply. its not the guitar cause i tried 4 different ones with no sound coming out except for the acoustic electric one that had a battery inside. thank you for your help

umm i did use the speaker output....i unplugged the speaker from the amp input inside and plugged the cord to the amp input that was connected to the macbook input so i can only hear the sound from the computer instead of both the computer and the amp. so im guessing thats what cause this problem since u said to never do that...may i ask why its a bad idea to do that?

Audio is blank in Premiere, but when when using "Reveal in Explorer" the Audio is there?

The clips that are in the sequence have blank audio tracks (These sequences were from an imported project, and the audio worked fine there) Even when I load the clips from the project window into the source monitor, they don't have audio (And they are not showing as Offline) but when I use "Reveal in Explorer" to locate the original clip, the audio is on the original clip, so what gives, and how can I get Premiere to "locate" the audio?
I tried Clean the Media Cache Database, but that did not work...
...and it's not all the audio clips, just some of them...

Reveal in Explorer (or Finder for Mac) comes up when you right click on the item in the Project Window.
I didn't want to have to convert all these files to .wav if I didn't have to. I am wondering what the issue might be so I don't have to add that to my workflow (especially in the future, though I'll probably end up doing it, I would still like to find the problem)
This project comes from an older version of Premiere I had installed, and now I have CS5... Why would it stop recognizing .aif files?

Maybe you should tell us which notebook model do you have and which operating system do you use.
After reading your one sentence problem description only thing I can say is: reinstall Toshiba value added package and check functionality again.

When using hotmail, I cannot upload attachments.

The error doesn't happen until the file is attempting to load, after a few seconds I recieve an error stating that the file cannot be attached. I cannot use skydrive or send the file as an office doc either. (trying to send a word file to my instructor).

I had the same problem with Hotmail after upgrading to FireFox 4 recently. The 'attachment' button wasn't clickable even though the icon appeared on my screen.
It resolved when I disabled Silverlight under the Firefox Add-On > Plugins then I went to www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/ and downloaded the Silverlight plugin and ran it with Firefox closed. And upon reopening of Firefox, my Hotmail 'attachments' was working again.
