When using the internet, my web browser window goes blank

It does this quite often:
When using the internet, the web browser screen will go completly blank after 2 secs of loading.
I will see the page, then after two seconds it is gone, and the web browser is completely white.
Once, one page or tab does it, all the others start doing it.
It is very frustrating, and happens quite often.
Does this happen to anyone else, and does anyone know why or how to fix it??

The next time you have the problem, note the exact times when it starts and ends: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Post any messages timestamped during that interval – the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

When using the built in web server, is there a way to specify a different error handler when you try to access a NON .CFM file? Right now I get the standard:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: filename.ext
Is there any setting to override this and direct the message to your own .cfm template? The missing template handler in the CF Admin work only for .cfm files.

The in-built web server for ColdFusion 8 is JRun. I am on ColdFusion 10, however, and so cannot offer hands-on advice. (CF10 replaced JRun with Tomcat.)
My guess is that you have to modify the file {CF_ROOT}/WEB-INF/web.xml. Don't forget to create a back-up first!
You may then proceed as follows.
1) In the ColdFusion root (CF_ROOT), create the file myCustomFileNotFound.cfm. Give it some content, like
My custom File Not Found page. Current time: <cfoutput>#now()#</cfoutput>
2) Open the file {CF_ROOT}/WEB-INF/web.xml in a text editor. Add the following error-handling specification just before the end tag </web-app>:
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/myCustomFileNotFound.cfm</location>
</error-page>
Save the file web.xml.
3) Restart ColdFusion. Test by browsing to a URL requesting filename.ext

I can't download any software using the built in web browser. Any ideas?

I just got a new Treo 755p for Verizon. I can't seem to download any software using the built in web browser. When I initiate the download it sits on the download screen and does nothing. I've tried several sources of software all resulting in the same thing.
Could it be settings on the Treo itself? Not sure! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can data be passed to an external web server using the "in-course web browsing" feature in ver. 7? I would like to display a simple web page, and I would like to pass to that web page the answers to all the quiz questions, quiz score, etc. In other words, instead of passing quiz results to a SCORM-compliant LMS like Moodle, I'd like to pass that data to a Drupal Webform using a URL like:
https://www.example.com/my-drupal-webform?param1=value1&param2=value2...&paramn=valuen

You have to make sure every step in MOS Document ID 726414.1 that is applicable to your E-Business Suite 12.1.x release is performed. Enabling ASADMIN is just one of the steps. In spite of following all the steps in this Document you continue to get the error when clicking "Generate WSDL", please log a Service Request with Oracle Support.I will check all steps again. Pretty much the same way you'd know with any other device. Are you using cellular data? It's pretty secure. Are you using WiFi? If so, is it public, unsecured wifi? Or private WiFi with a password? If you're doing any type of sensitive transactions, are you checking to make sure that the website is secure by checking to see that the address begins with https not just http? Are you making sure you're typing in address for banks and financial institutions rather than clicking on links in email?

Does anyone else have to renew their DHCP Lease every 30 seconds when using the internet?

Everytime I want to use the internet for surfing the web or browsing iTunes etc I have to go into System Preferences and navigate through to a button that says "Renew DHCP Lease". If watching catch-up TV online I have to click this button every 30 seconds or so because the programme freezes, and if I'm surfing the web or browsing iTunes I have to click it every time I want to update the content of the page. Does anybody know what my problem might be?

This Fix has got things working for me.
I have reprinted this response from another thread I have made (Repost) A number of people were asking me about my fix, so I have expanded my response to hopefully offer a little more clarity.
I was having this problem the other night after I finished doing a massive upgrade to our Home Network (New Router, Modem, Cabling, Etc)
I had to reset my DHCP lease every few minutes, in the end I found Mac Mini's IP Address kept setting itself to other items on the Network, I have some items connected on wired (ethernet) and some were connected on WiFi (Airport Extreme) after clicking the DHCP Lease Renew the Mac Mini would grab an IP address that it thought was available but then another item on my network would "check in" then we would have a clash, The Mac Mini was grabbing what it thought was an available IP address, the DHCP Renew button was not setting the Mac Mini's IP number far enough away to stop the clash.
I was watching the items on my Routers Attached devices screen, The Mac Mini would show up on the page with its new address (after hitting the DHCP Renewal button) then something else would check in with that exisiting IP Address, clash and the Mac Mini would need it's DHCP lease renewed again.
My Network consists of:
- Mac Mini (Wired)
- Acer Laptop (Wired)
- PS3 (1) (wired)
- Apple TV (wired)
- Airport Extreme (wired and looking ater WiFi duties throughout the house)
- PS3 (2) (WiFi)
- TV (WiFi)
- iPad (WiFi)
- Nexus 7 (WiFi)
- Printer (WiFi)
I'll be the first to admit my Networking knowledge is limited (and I'm learning more all the Time) but I simply went into the preferences panel and set the IP address manually.
1. I went into Preferences and selected Network
2. Set Configure IPV4 to: using DHCP with manual address
Now it helped I had my NetGear Routers "Attached devices" Page open here so I could see the address of everything else on my network (I went and switched everything on that was web connected so it would be logged in and running on the network) I looked at the last digit or 2 of every item on my network and then set my new IP address.
3. To ensure I wouldn't have any more clashes I set my new IP address far away from the the others* your only changing the last digit or 2 of the IP address, so in the case of my Mac Mini it went from
xxx.xxx.02 to xxx.xxx.0.52 (note the x's are normally your IP address numbers)
*I originally set it to xxx.xxx.09 but I since found the TV had that IP address (The one thing I forgot to check the previous night) so I this is when I decided to set it far away from the rest of the bunch by setting it to .52 (No specific reason for 52, that was just the 1st number to pop into my head)
Now that was over a week ago and since then I have had no more issues on my Network, so far everything is running smooth and fast. (It has now been over 3 weeks since I posted this, and everything is still working perfectly, I suggested this solution to 2 friends having the same issue and it also fixed there problems as well)
I'm not saying this is the be all and end all to the problem, there must be a more permanent solution out there, but this is working for me so far.

Laptop crashes when using the internet - Satellite Pro L100

Hi i got my laptop (satellite pro L100) 5 days ago and i connect through a router to the internet, but over the last few days when im using the internet a help window opens automatically and about 90 internet explorer windows open, it became really frustrating, im using norton which came with it, anyone got any ideas ive ran a virus scan and adaware scan but came up with nothing

I can understand you very well. For me its a shock if 90 IE windows would appear on my little notebook screen. SCREAM !!! :O
However, did you install any 3rd party applications which could open the windows?
I think this is not a normal system state and if it appears since view days so you should try to roll back the OS to the early point.
Furthermore you could try to check in the MSCONFIG what background processes runs on the OS. If there are some very strange processes you should disable it and you should remove it from the autorun.

Airtunes cutting in and out when using the internet.

I know this topic has been covered before and there is a support page for this problem on the apple website but I haven't been able to fix the problem using either hence the post so sorry for repetition.
As the title says my airtunes keeps cutting in and out, but it only seems to happen when I am actively using the internet. What I mean to say is that if the internet is connected and sitting there dormant it works fine, but as soon as a start to surf or download it cuts out, the higher the download/upload rate the longer the cut outs are until it stops all together.
My network contains the following,
2 Computers (1 iMac and 1 MacBook Pro)
1 Airport Express
The iMac is the host of the network, it also is the provider of the internet via a USB mobile broadband stick shared out via Airport (which cannot be connected directly into the Airport Express). Airport Express is used purely for Airtunes.
I could not change the channel setting to test for interference in Airport Utility as the iMac was the host. I tried changing the whole network channel on the iMac but the cut outs still occurred.
I use the MacBook Pro to send the audio from iTunes to Airport Express, distance would only be about 4 meters with no physical barriers such as stereo/cables/walls etc.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Why is my 8gb ram macbook is slow when using the internet compared to my old laptop?

i just purchased my macbook last week and i've noticed that using the internet has been quite bad at home. It seems to run pretty fast when using my schools wifi however it just doesn't make sense that my old laptop would still run faster than my new 8gb ram macbook. My internet plan is with telstra -50gb ADSL modem and it promises speeds up to 20 mbps and i'm only getting 4.11 mbps...

I can only use the internet (and web-related apps) when I'm connected to wifi.

When I try to use the 3G, it says I'm not subscribed to a cellular data plan, which is clearly not true because I'm paying ridiculous amounts of money for it. This means I cannot use the maps feature, which is half the reason I bought the thing. There have also been synching issues with email (which cost me a really good job), and it will not allow me to set up voicemail (when I try to, it says "cannot connect"). My friend that works at Sprint says that the problem is with the phone, and there is nothing they can do at the Sprint store. Help?

Reset your network settings.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings
If that doesn't work contact your carrier.

E90 Chrases when using the Internet.

When I surfe the internet on my E90, some times the browser shuts down, and i have a feeling that it is slowing the phone down. I have tried to format the phone, but that did not help, that only gave me another problem, now I can't use my Google calendar as i could before. I hope that some one might have an answer to my problems. I have updated my phone to version 300.34.84. But the problems are still on the phone.

Music being interrupted when using the internet

So yeah I listen to my music with itunes when i'm using the net and so often when a page loads or i'm scrolling down a page, the music i'm listening to pauses for a split second and continues..( like when you listen to a cd using a portable cd player and the song skips when the player is moved too fast or bumped). It's just annoying when it happens all the time, the song is constantly interrupted.
Can anyone help?

My crummy little 5-yr-old laptop does this, too. It barely meets the specs for itunes anymore. The specs are shown on the itunes download page.
It's not as bad when I only have itunes and one browser window open, but anything else, and it's pretty much useless for listening to music.

IPod touch gets very hot when using the Internet/Video

Hello. I have a question about my iPod touch (8 GB, 1.1.4, January Software Upgrade). When I go to Safari and browse the web, or when I'm watching a long video (YouTube and memory) the iPod gets really hot, particulary on the top, near the Sleep-Wake button. Is this normal or should I worry?

Is it hot to the touch? or is it warm? My iPod only gets warm, but not hot, down near the home button after/during a sync or watching videos/searching the web.
