When was Oracle 9i Portal (initial) Released?

Thanks,
Steve

Interesting. I stumbled into an 18-minute presentation on what our mother-ship calls "Oracle Content DB" and "Content Management"
[aside]
Once they were done explaining what they were talking about in reference to "unstructured content", I realized that what ORA calls "Content Management", I had known as "Digital Asset Management" for many years.
[aside]
By dumb luck and/or coincidence, within minutes of having heard them talk about "OracleDrive" within the aforementioned presentation about Content DB, I was poking around my OFO, and saw an "OracleDrive" installer executable. I installed it on my spare PC.
Now what? As an Oracle employee, I have an OFO account, and I have files stored/shared therein. I have access to other files that people (e.g. my manager) have stored/shared. All very cool. So it would seem as though now I can get at these files through Windows Explorer (and a drive letter), instead of the web browser.
BUT... setting up the first service as the same servername as I use for OFO, plus the port, plus /content/dav did not work.
Are we talking apples and apples here, or is this an apples/oranges confusion on my part?

    Dear all,
    I use:
    + JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0
    + Oracle AS Portal 10g release 2.
    + Oracle Application Server 10g release 2.
    + JDK 1.4
I installed ADF_Installer and Portlet_Container for OC4J instance in Oracle Application Server ok.
    1. I use JDeveloper, create my simple project with template is WebCenter Application.
    2. In the Portlet project, I added the Portlet Faces Bridge.
    3. I add the JSF (with name is home.jspx) in Web Tier into the Portlet project (select the JSF JSP). And type is .jspx and Do not automatically Expose UI Components in a Managed Bean.
    4. Inside the home.jspx, I add the OutputText only.
    5. Inside the WEB-INF, i created portlet.xml file with content is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <portlet-app version="1.0"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/portlet/portlet-app_1_0.xsd http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/portlet/portlet-app_1_0.xsd"

    7. I create the WAR File Deployment Profiles.
Ok, I deploy this portlet into OC4J instance in Oracle Application Server (10g release 2). -- > Finished.
From my browser, I use URL Address such as:
    http://mymachine.com:7780/jobs/portlets?WSDL --> ok.
After that, I log into Oracle AS Portal, and register this provider with style WSRP --> ok, I can see it from Portlet Reposistory. But when I add it into my portal page, I receive following message
Error:Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception.
I refresh my portal page but it not effect !
In Oracle Application Server 10g release 2 have support JSF Portlet ? Or I have some misstakes ? Please guide to me to solve this problem.

I updated Oracle Application Server Portal from 10.1.2 to 10.1.4 ! Please give me some ideas !

    Wow. Okay...
I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
My only comment would be re: your computer specs:
    BJReis wrote:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.
I wish you luck, hang in there, and standby for more help.

Due to Sarbanes-Oxley Act regulations regarding revenue recognition Oracle has decided to not give out release dates with higher precision than 12 months. nobody knows a fix date. Only Larry knows more.

  • When was the release date of iphone6..???

There are lot of rumours abt iphone 6,so I want to know when was the release date of iphone6,pls

That's all any of us know. Anyone who knows the date won't tell, and anyone who doesn't know can't tell. It's even quite likely that NO ONE knows, because the date will not be chosen until the beta testing has successfully dealt with all of the serious bugs.
Oh, and "Fall" means between the Autumnal Equinox on September 21 and the Winter Solstice around December 21. So you can be reasonably sure it will be between those dates. However, sometimes companies miss their own deadlines.

When will oracle release patch for bug: 18469114. New reporting requirements regarding ACA and forms 1094-c and 1095-c.

It's more likely that OracleAS 11(g?) will be available at the end of this year or begginning of next year.

  • TV on the ipad - when it is going to be released?

Here are tweets I've gotten back from @FIOSTV over the last year about this app that was initially demoed by Verizon in August of 2010:
1/24/12 - will be limited channels - was just reviewing the final release candidate today
10/31/12 - I have it on my ipad if it helps.   (my reponse - when will it be out 1 month, 2 months ? to which he replied) most def
It's been 19 months since the first demoed the app and it apparently has been working for many months for internal users.   I know the holdup is probably something with content rights, but seriously how long can that take to work out?   Even if the app is released with very limited channels it's at least something to show the customers that it is here and Verizon is working on getting more channels to add.    I also don't understand why there is such an issue with the content providers for watching in your own home on your WIFI network only.   It's as if the ipad is an extra TV and it will only increase viewership without anyone losing money.
Has anyone heard anything about the status of this?   It also drives me crazy that Verizon won't come out and provide an update on this even if they say it's 6 months away.

It seems VZ would dearly like the channels themselves to "do the deed" eg; HBO/Go, etc.... EPIC FAIL, Verizon. Other providers already have implemented this, VZ's EMPTY PROMISES for almost 2 years leave a bad taste. Let's face it, VZ just won't (or can't) deliver on it's commitments.

  • Skin Customization in Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 2 (11.1.2)

I was recently tasked with branding an OIM instance to match pretty stringent branding standards. To accomplish this task, I extended the fusion theme which is provided out of the box into a new custom skin. In the example below, I took the design as far as I could, which required decently advanced css knowledge; however, even a novice web designer could easily make simple updates to the backgrounds and fonts which would also greatly enhance the user experience.
Utilizing FireBug for Firefox, I inspected elements of the OIM interface to see which div's I needed to modify in the css file. You can edit as little or as many elements as you'd like in your custom skin; however, I'd recommend preserving the primary elements original placements to avoid confusion for users that are already used to an out of the box version of OIM.
This is the Oracle doc I used when creating the custom skin: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/dev.1112/e27150/uicust.htm#BABJIJIA
Notes regarding the Oracle tutorial mentioned above:
Be sure and remove the temp directory, shut down your OIM server, upload your files, then restart your OIM server with each css modification.
30.3.1 - Configuring Skins: 1. After you create the skin in the trinidad-skins.xml file, make a copy of the trinidad-skins.xml from the /iam-consoles-faces.war/WEB-INF/ directory to the
    oracle.iam.console.identity.sysadmin.ear/WEB-INF/ directory AND the
    oracle.iam.console.identity.self-service.ear/WEB-INF directory.
