The time before, I don't use raid 0, I just use 1 hdd (seagate sata 160GB ), and my system run very good as a Bootrom server.
But then, when I tried 2 sata hdd seagate 160GB (raid 0), some time ( when the data's transfer is large) my server WAS HANG ( before I use raid 0, my server never was hang), I don't have any choice without press Reset button.
I'm using a good PSU ( fireline 400w 40usd) , I don't think it's a problem.
I tried new driver but it was not solve my problem.
Now i'm looking for your advices, please help me.
When i'm expecting help from other, I'm also trying alots to solve this problems.
I want to test if port sata 3 and sata 4 is good when they run in raid0, so :
I intend to plug 2 sata running raid 0 (on port sata 3 and sata4 of mainboard) to 2 port Sata 1 and sata2, but I wonder when I plug 2 hdd to new port , will I have to format them, and if not, when I start Windows from Samsung hdd (pluged on port sata 3) will Windows recognize them and see my old data . Because my data is large and importent, so I ask you before I do it.

yes it shouldn't be a problem as long as the SATA connectors are using the same controller i.e. nvidia controller or Promise controller. The SATA ports are irrelevant...

Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.

My ipod touch is having a fit when connected to my computer. Won't charge or sync. Other USB ports will let me at least charge. Anybody?

My PC that has my iTunes all of a sudden does not want to recognize my itouch. My itouch kind of freaks out. It blinks charging on and off, on and off... I am able to charge it using another USB port like on my wii or wall charger. I updated iTunes to the most recent version and it made no difference. Please help.

They will stop syncing with no workaround unless you sync by plugging the phone into your computer using a USB cable.

WiFi signals get stronger the closer the machine is to the router and the less interference/blocking of the signal like via walls with metal in them or of thick concrete.
Since the signal emanates outwards in a sphere, your supposed to place the wireless router in a central location in the building so it covers all areas.
The power of the router also has a affect, if your router is old or something not that powerful like a Airport Express, it doesn't have the ability to filter out other signals or enough punch to get through walls etc. or cover a large area as effectively.
If you buy/have a powerful router of newer make and have issues where there is metal in the walls or thick concrete, then you can buy something like OpenMesh and by using Ethernet cables from the back of the router, extend the WiFi signal into other rooms and areas past the blockage.

Xcode proj files break when I move onto other machines?

When I move an archived project folder and all my project files to another machine...the project file (which I know is a folder) app.xcode seems to only show up as the folder with three internal files...and cannot be opened in xcode? i.e. as soon as that app.xcode file arrives on another machine it turns into a folder and xcode isn't happy with that...
Could someone suggest what may be going wrong? presume it's something basic as xcode projects must be able to be moved off the original machine...

Well, Xcode project files are indeed file bundles - that is, they're actually folders with files inside them, but the Finder knows that they're a bundled type and presents them as a single "file". If it's not doing that, and is just showing you a folder with files inside, then that indicates that the Finder doesn't know about that file type.
This is either because you don't have the correct version of Xcode, or because the Finder is confused. Either way, I suggest you download the latest release of Xcode (2.3) from http://connect.apple.com/ and perform a clean install of the tools.

Why do masks change position when I move them to other layers?

I created both a simple shape mask and also a complex bezier shape mask. When I move these masks to other layers they change their position. Is there a way to change this behavior?

They are positioned in relation to the original object, and the Group that object is in. Copying them to another object may sometimes require you reposition them.

Final Cut 10.1 crash when copy/move events

Final Cut 10.1 crash or hangs up with spinning beachball when copy/move several events between libraries at once. The problem happens more often than not when managaging media in different libraries on same and/or different disks.
Move or copy one event at a time works, but not several events at the same time.
The problem occurs on an 21.5 iMac (mod 2010) i3, 12 Gb RAM, 500 Gb HDD with external WD FW800 disk, an 27" iMac i7 (mod 2010), 12 Gb RAM, 1Tb HDD with external LaCie FW800 disks as well as with a 13" MacBook Pro (late 2012) i5, 16 Gb RAM, 480 Gb SSD with 1Tb External thunderbolt disk.
Just checked one of the external drives that had problems with move/copy with Disc Manager and there were no errors.

I tried the same thing with smaller (200 Gbyte) library and this problem didn't occur.
My guess is that something fishy was going on with the large (>1 Tbyte) default libraries during upgrade to 10.1 and therefore not found during test of move/copy functionality.
My own two machines are now upgraded to 10.1.1, but I have not dared to see if this work with an on-going project ;-)

Raid setup and other problems,soooo frustrating.

I have tried and tried to search for a problem like mine here and i have found bits and pieces but nothing which has really helped yet.I have just built my first pc and these are my problems at this point.
My deal is....ok first i have only a single hard drive at the moment but i want to be setup for raid 1 when i get another one soon.I understand that this means loading the drivers during the whole f6 part.Unfortunately when inserting my formatted driver containing floppy and pushing enter-nothing happens? it just says to wait for maybe half a second and then the screen comes back up asking for the floppy again.I have confirmed that the floppy drive works in another computer and my new computer is recognizing it.Its possible im not making the driver disc correctly -possibility.
Well, after fooling around with that for hours i decided hmm i dont like raid so much now so i disabled raid in bois and went ahead and tried to start insalling windows.Started off everything working and seemed fine,I formatted the Hdd for like an hour and then i was prompted that the computer would restart and setup would continue upon restart...ok.Now once it restarts it just acts as though i never even started??? it just starts right back over again asking me to format the HDD again!! Which i just spent an hour doing!!??
This thing basically has me fed up,im kind of a newb at building pc's but i feel as though i know enought not to have problems like this.All in all i would like to be setup for raid but it is not crucial,if anyone can guid me to getting this thing working any way around i would appreciate it,thanks in advance!!

There should be no problem. I just want to make sure that the CPU draws its currents from the power rail "expected" by the PSU. Remember, yours has two seperate +12V-rails. Only one of them supplies the processor. If your video card and your processor are supplied by the same power rail, you will run into problems for sure.

Did you repeat the install attempt after that and tried without reformating the HDD (again)?

U330 Touch hard drive clicks when I move laptop

Hi I just purchased a u330t with a seagate 500gb hdd + 16gb ss cache (st500lx005) and often when I move the laptop the hard drive makes a clicking noise.
It only happens when the laptop is turned on and mainly with a tilting motion, nothing harsh just the normal movement of picking it up closing the lid etc.. It sounds different to the normal drive noise and is quite fast and in relation to how much the laptop is moving. It almost sounds like a crackling noise, 3 or 4 rapid clicks.
I am worried to transfer my old files in case this is the sign of the drive failing, but at least I have nothing to lose. Anyone have any ideas?

Looking at the pre-installed softwares (both metro UI and desktop versions), it doesn't indicate any software that protects the HDD head whenever it is tilt

Reporting the issue to the seller is a good step to see if there are other users who encountered the same issue, and if ever, get the unit exchanged as the unit is brand new.

Access MP motherboard SATA ports when using Apple RAID card

I asked this question in another topic and thought I'd have better luck in a separate topic.
I will soon be the proud owner of an early 2008 3.2 G Mac Pro with the Apple RAID card. I have been given a lot of great advice by the regulars to this topic area who gave me an idea that I wanted to confirm would work.
Since the internal HDs are connected through the RAID card, that leaves the iPass connector free to connect 4 more SATA drives to the motherboard. The suggestion was made to use an iPass to 4 x SATA cable to gain access. But where to attach and mount the drives? If not the optical bay, the only alternative is outboard, but what to do with the cable? I also learned here that there are two more SATA ports on the motherboard, and Newer Technology makes a cable that attaches to both and mounts in an empty PCI slot hole. Very neat.
So why not combine the two? I am not certain, but it appears that the connector genders are such that you could combine an iPass to 3 x SATA cable attached to the motherboard to a pair of the Newer Tech cables, then mount them to the PCI doors enabling the user to attach 4 more SATA drives with suitable for another RAID, boot Camp or whatever. Does this seem a reasonable solution? Would love some feedcak on this. Thanks.

It is not uncommon to have trouble installing, cloning, or booting from a PCIe card - though the Sonnet Tempo Pro SSD is one of the reliable ones, still, you should install the OS first on SATA II normally, then move the SSD to its new home.
The fact the SSD works on the ODD port - have you asked or looked for firmware update or anything from Sonnet and what they have to say?
With three PCIe cards to contend with, they may interact - not unheard of - and the USB3 may need drivers first to work?
