When will Acrobat Professional XI save files to the new Adobe Workspaces?

Here is the dilemma and I can't believe Adobe has not addressed this...
The product Adobe Acrobat Professional XI saves to the cloud. But the location that it saves to is files.acrobat.com (Which you have to comb the Internet or forums to find this out by the way). When a user goes to Acrobat.com, Adobe tells them that we are now Adobe Workspaces with all the features, etc. and tells us to go there instead, but the FLAGSHIP PRODUCT -- ADOBE ACROBAT PRO XI saves to the old supposedly obsolete Acrobat.com - What am I missing here?
Is there a plan to start saving from Acrobat Professional XI to Adobe Workspaces?? What do we do when Adobe shuts down Acrobat.com???? Why is this not addressed anywhere??? What's the plan???

This behaviour is as designed.
Acrobat.com - Personal File Storage is a free service that is integrated with Adobe Acrobat XI software, which was first released in October of 2012. This service lets you store documents online and access them from computers and mobile devices.
Acrobat.com - Workspaces is the original (legacy) Acrobat.com service, offering a team workspace with up to 2GB of storage, an online word processor, and an online table tool. It can also be used to host shared PDF document reviews invoked through menu choices in Adobe Acrobat software. These services are available for free.

When will Camera Raw support .arw files for the new Sony RX-100?

I have Photoshop Elements 9 and just purchased the RX-100. Currently the .arw raw files the camera produces are not supported in Camera Raw. When will Adobe be supporting this format?

No one can tell you when, but the new RX100 has support in the beta of Camera Raw 7.2 RC for Photoshop CS6 so I would guess that PSE11 will either ship with or could soon after be updated to ACR 7.2 with RX100 support.
PSE10 is the current version, but in the past, a new version of Elements has come out about this time of year so sometime in the next couple months.
What you can do right now is download the beta of the DNG Converter 7.2 RC from Adobe Labs which will convert a folder of ARW files to DNG files which can then be processed with older versions of Camera Raw including what comes with PSE10 or PSE9.
You could also download and use the beta for Lightroom 4.2 RC from on Adobe Labs to work with your files natively until the beta expires by the end of October, but before then you’d probably have a new version of Elements that would work. If you go the LR 4.2 RC route, you’d want to save your changes to XMP sidecars in LR so you could read them using ACR in Elements, later.

Permission denied when in windows trying to save files to the MacHD

I just made the huge leap from a Dell Laptop to the Mac Book Pro and I can't be more thrilled about it! With change, obviously comes with some challenges, not the least of which is my lack of knowledge on the new platform.
Because I had some programs I wanted to keep that were more robust in the Windows environment than Mac OS, I set up a dual boot. It works great.
For the first few days I was able to write while in Mac to the Windows Drive and while in Windows to the Mac drive.
Now, for some reason, and I'm not sure what change I made or installation caused it, but I'm now getting "denied access you don't have permission to write to this drive" when I'm in windows trying to save doc's to the Mac. I keep everything in one place.
I used disc utility and verify and repair permissions, there was a bunch of code on the screen it says it fixed it except one area in the library it said it couldn't modify. This is all greek to me at this point.
Im at the point of reinstalling the OSX system with the archive and install, to see if a 'reset' in that fashion would work.
Any help for a Mac Newbie would be appreciated. The learning curve is fun.

As you have found out, Paragon HFS+ and MacDrive allow you to write from Windows to Mac, while booted in Windows, but you may also want to get Paragon's NTFS for Mac or NTFS Mounter (free) which also enable you to write to the Windows partition while booted in Mac. These install on the Mac side of course. I often use these to put files on the Windows desktop (or elsewhere) I know I may want next time I boot to Windows.
Paragon's NTFS for Mac is seamless compared to NTFS Mounter, but is more expensive, and also requires a slightly different process (via the Paragon pref pane) to boot from Mac to Windows.
BTW I have experience of both MacDrive 8 and Paragon HFS+. Both work but I had Paragons HFS+ installed when I tried to update to Windows 7 Service Pack 1 recently, and it kept failing. There was a thread about it here somewhere, where a number of other people had the same problem. The culprit was Paragon HFS+. Uninstalled Paragon HFS+ and the update went through. MacDrive 8 was OK, and I have stayed with it since then.
MacDrive 8 is good and has good support, but it has the most draconian activation policy I have ever encountered. You can deactivate in order to use the SN on another computer, but if you forget or the hard drive fails you will get a message about exceeding allowed number of activations. Support are very quick to reset it when this happens, but it is irksome.

Since the screen is now greater than HD and the camera has just been enhanced to 5 MP, PS Touch should be updated to support pictures larger than 1600 x 1600 as quickly as possible as well as adding direct support for the Retina screen. Otherwise it will look fuzzy and seem underpowered for the device going forward. Any estimate on what date this much-needed update will be released?

I don't have an iPad3 myself but I have heard from others that PS Touch looks and runs great on it. Adobe will continue to release updates to PS Touch to make the app better and take advantage of the latest hardware (including iPad3). It's not possible to provide dates around any future releases though. Larger image support is a very common request. Please add your vote here is you haven't already.

How I can shift a file in the new adobe app

Any tentative fails to shift a file to a folder which is outside the shown window. I cannot scroll the window with the folders in this case. The app simply disappears. Before the last update this task worked very well.

The engineers have fixed the problem. We are waiting for Apple to approve and post the update.

If you are lokking for loopholes or workarounds - they don't exist. Your only option is to buy a new license of Acrobat XI. Of course, depending on what functionality you need, there are enough alternative, cheaper tools to create and edit PDFs or even free tools. Most of them won't deal with forms or otehr advanced features, though, but as long as you only want to convert your Word files to PDFs, the'll do the trick and you don't need Acrobat.

Clarification: this is a user forum; you are not addressing Adobe here.
The answer to your question as phrased is: never.
CS5 is history and it is not longer supported. There will not be any updates or bug fixes for CS5.
You need to convert the raw NEF files from your D810 to raw DNGs using the free, standalone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 RC (beta), the first version ever to support that camera..

Thanks for the information and your help. I have never bothered before changing the format. Next time I will.
I copied the library to the external drive and then it went and said they were referenced files but I was okay about that. Now it cannot see them and will not do anything with them. I think I will buy another external drive and start again by importing all of my files again. I guess 55K will keep the mac busy this week.

No one who knows can say and no one who says knows. I’d GUESS it’ll be before the end of November, around the time Canon releases the 7D Mark II which has already been announced by has a ship date sometime in November according to B&H.
While you’re waiting, you can download the DNG Converter 8.7 RC from Adobe Labs, and convert your NEFs to DNGs and import those DNGs into LR. The DNGC is in the CS6 branch of the ACR 8.7 download, here:

MS office word (2011) will not save files on the hard disk. It will save on USB drives. Help!

I have installed MS Office 2011 on our iMac and Macbook Air. The program works as expected on the Macbook Air. However, on the iMac, neither Word nor Excel will save files to the internal hard drive. Both save files to a USB memory stick. The error message I receive is:
This is not a valid file name.
Try one or more of the following:
* Chech the path to make sure it was typed correctly.
* Select a file from the list of files or folders.
I expect it is something with the file saving options, but haven't been able to sort it out.
Help please.

Found the answer with the help of Microsoft Office for Mac telephone support.....
The name of the Mac Hard drive started with "\"
Microsoft office can't cope with that.
Renamed the hard drive without the back-slash and it works fine.

I can't save an old InDesign file to the new version

I can't save an old InDesign file to the new version. I keep getting this message:
I can only save the file as .IDML.

This happens to ALL old InDesign files on my iMac (problem does not happen on my Macbook pro). I have saved the files as .idml and opened them again. I get the same error when I try to save the file as .indd. They can ONLY be saved as .idml.
I never embed images and do not have font issues (file was created on the same iMac as it is being opened on now).
Sometimes I get an error when I first try to open an old file - it ays the file is damaged and can't be opened. I try again right after and it opens fine.
