When will Adobe Drive 4 SDK be available?

When will the SDK and documentation be available?
I just went to grab the drive 3 sdk when I noticed that there is a Drive 4 now. I can't tell which versions of Creative Suite are compatable. Will CS6 work with adobe drive 3? And I can't tell if my plugin that I started will work in Drive4.
Help.

Probaly never. It isn't available on any other tablet OSs.
You need to install 3rd party apps such as Bluefire, Aldiko, Overdrive or similar to read eBooks. (sometimes they have something pre-installed).
Unfortuately some of these apps are not yet available for Microsoft Surface;
I guess they will be made available when/if Windows RT becomes a mainstream tablet OS.

The Mac App Store policy is not now nor has it ever been "free upgrades for life."
The Mac apps store policy is that dot point updates are free. Major upgrade releases are paid if the developer so chooses. So if you bought Amazing App 2.0 then all updates, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc., are free. But when amazing App 3.0 comes out, it is a paid app, if the developer wishes to charge for it.

When will adobe camera RAW be available to work with Pentax K-3 in elements 11?

Hi - I am running Photoshop Elements 11 and shooting with a Pentax K-3.
When in college I am able to open the PEF files and make adjustments in Adobe Camera RAW, however, when I am using elements 11 at home I get a message saying that my Camera is not supported.
Obviously I would like to be able to make some adjustments outside of college to speed things up a little.
I don't really want to go to the pay monthly Photoshop as I already have Elements11 and Lightroom!
Is there any other way that I can get camera raw? I have the Pentax Silkipix software but it's not as user friendly as Camera raw.
Is Adobe camera raw available to buy as stand alone software? Are there any plans to support k-3 PEF raw files in elements any time soon?

Hi,
To read the PEF files from the K-3 you need camera raw 8.3 but that is not compatible with PSE 11.
You would either need to upgrade to a later version of PSE or download the Adobe DNG converter. You can then convert the PEF files to DNG files and the DNG files could then be edited by PSE 11.
It looks as though the K-3 can be set to save the images in DNG format. Have you tried switching to that format? The files should then be able to be read by both systems.

No-one knows Adobe's future plans (other than Adobe) so you'll have to keep checking the Adobe website and various Adobe blogs for future product announcements.

I have the new Samsung Focus SGH-i917 Windows Phone 7. When I visit news pages that require Adobe
flash player, I can't play the videos. When I try to download the player I get an error message that it is not supported .

If it's Android 4.0 there will be no further development of Flash Player. Android dropped all support for Flash last year, and Adobe isn't developing for it anymore as a result.
There are alternatives to Flash for Android devices:
You can find info about "Dolphin" for Android at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser It seems to be the browser of choice to play Flash content on an Android device.
Also, check the Android forums to see what their "gurus" recommend.

Since most of the mobile devices are being converted to Adobe Air instead of the native flash, finding a official release for Apple devices probably wont happen, the devices that have it now is starting to be a dieing breed. Adobe has already reported considering discontinuing flash for mobile device.

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE
1. CTRL E has never worked and I have always edited my site via a link that my web designer has given me ,I don't get an error message just nothing happens, any ideas?
2. When I go through the link given to me by my web designer to edit the site the site appears but everything is smaller, font boxes etc, and not the correct size, I can edit ,however when I then exit editing and check to see if my site has changed nothing has .
Viewing the site outside of incontext editing all is normal, correct size etc , it is only when I'm in editing that the site appears different and not right.This is a recent problem and all ( apart from CTRL E ) has been fine.
Its almost like I have 2 websites one out here and one in incontext editing , any suggestions

When will Adobe Lightroom support tethering for Nikon D810?

I am wondering when will adobe support Nikon D810. Aperture already supports it...what is holding Adobe to add tethering for D810?

My guess is that Nikon writes the tethering driver for Apple so it is ready very quickly, whereas Adobe has to wait for an SDK then wait for their own resources to finish coding and I imagine it is messy and low priority so it takes a while.

I only signed up to creative cloud so that I could use encore for authoring a blu-ray using a template but no library content is available. Can someone please tell me when this is going to be available so that I can inform my client of how long they are going to have to wait.
As I am not able to use the facilities as advertised can someone reassure me that my months payment will not commence until encore is fit for purpose?

When going here: Digital pen, stylus and digital ruler | Adobe Ink & Slide and clicking the Buy Now button it shows as being available in the US, Canada, and Japan.
So it should be available in Canada now.

When will single edition apps be available on Android, Amazon Fire, and Blackberry Playbook? This is very important as we were told we would soon be able to publish on all devices and not just using the in-app service. My company is currently using the Professional Edition of Adobe DPS.

Single-Folio-Apps (created with the Single-Edition or a professional licence) include the folio itself — resulting in a big app size.
Currently, the Android Market has a 50MB limit for .apk-Apps. (http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/developer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=113469)
At the Google IO this year they talked about raising this limit up to 4GB, but that is more complicated. the app itself still has 50MB of allowed size, but there are additional data handled by the android market that can be downloaded upon starting the 50MB .apk app from the android market.
that targets games mostly. Adobe has to think about a way to split up viewer and content to make use of this feature.
However, Multi-Folio-Apps are currently possible (only with Pro Edition) on Android. They are relatively small (2-5 MB) and the .folios are comming from the adobe servers (download costs!). You need to create a new role/magazine in the account administration and publish your app as a multi folio app.

When will Adobe update DIGITAL EDITIONS - to search and tag, and to back-up structure?

When will Adobe update DIGITAL EDITIONS to include the ability to 'find your books' by searching and tagging?
Also, how does one 'back-up' the organization structure? I have hundreds of books that i've organized by "Bookshelves" and i KNOW this will someday become corrrupted, somehow, and i will need to spend countless hours trying to put multiple books in multiple categories again.
[i've backed-up (besides the books themselves) "Annotations", "Mainfiest", "Tags" and "Thumbnails" but there doesn't seem to be a complementary file/folder for DIgital Editions in USER/AppData]

TM is not designed to do what you ask. As Allan wrote TM is an incremental backup not an archival solution.
If you delete a file from the HD it will eventually be removed from the TM backup (if it ever makes it on to the backup at all).
How long before it is removed depends on a number of factors, TM disk drive size being one factor but not the only one.
Material that is impossible to replace and is important to you (image files usually fitting that description) need to be backed up to as least one other drive and preferably more for long term storage.
