Apple doesn't control what emoji characters are available. They are part of an international standard so that they work everywhere.

There would be no point Apple adding extra emoji if they only worked on Apple devices.
When the Unicode organisation add new Emoji to the standard (which apparently they are working on) then Apple can add those new emoji to iOS.

When I try to use Search function in the keyboard on my iphone while preforming a search via google it will not search

If i go to googles page type in what i am searching for and then hit the "search" button in the bottom right of my keyboard it does nothing I have updated my iphone to newest OS 5.1.1 and I have rolled it back to a year ago and nothing works. If someone has a solution please let me know. I also cleared all web data and cookies

This is because how Google delivers and implements instant search. If you search for something that isn't in their instant search, the results will not update and you must press the magnifying glass to the right of the search box on Google's web page instead of the search button on Apple's keyboard as it isn't a "Enter/Return" key and that's what Google wants from a keyboard and it's labeled as Search key by Apple.

When will Apple Lossless Music be Available from the iTunes Store?

I have recently rediscovered the wonders of uncompressed music. I bought my first CD player in 1984. The best vinyl records were better then than the best CDs, and still are, but the average CD was a lot better than the average vinyl. The CD average has probably gotten better since then. At some point, I imported the CDs I listened to into my Mac, initially as 128K AAC, and later as 256K AAC, and thought I was still getting good quality. A couple of months ago, I bought an external USB DAC (NuForce Icon µDAC) and some better-than-the-usual-computer-speakers powered monitors (M-Audio AV40). And I reimported my CDs in Apple Lossless format. Oh! Sweet new music!
The difference between 256K AAC and Apple Lossless is subtle, but through good equipment it's still very noticeable. I have lots of music I bought from the iTunes Store over the years, in 128K and 256K AAC. Some of those I've replaced with CD rips, but I don't have all those CDs. I sure would like to be able to upgrade to Apple Lossless through the iTunes Store. I'd be happy to pay the HDTracks.com prices of $12/album or $1.49/track for the privilege, but it isn't available. The best Apple will sell me is 256K AAC. So now I'm getting all my new music from HDTracks.com, who have wonderful recordings, but a small selection, or as CDs from Amazon.
Apple, when are you going to step up to the plate for the audiophiles in your market and sell us Apple Lossless (or FLAC) music? I realize that we aren't nearly as big a market as the teeny-bopper iPod users out there, but we ARE a market, and I for one would happily return to the iTunes Store if I could buy full-resolution music there.

Wonderful question, would be nice if Apple was not so hush-hush about new developments, but alas, that is what they must do to stay on top of the game. I cannot wait for the day when I will open iTunes and see the phrase, "All Downloads now in Full CD Quality Apple Lossless!" Woohoo, what a momentus occasion that will be. Fortunately, we can hope that they will allow upgrades to Apple Lossless just like they did for iTunes Plus (and why wouldn't they, it's a money maker).
I too have only been purchasing cds mostly from amazon to rip in Lossless, and just came across an album of interest to me that is unfortunately only available through iTunes and Amazon. The hard copies of Steve Jablonsky's Transformers Score are only found in highly marked-up quantities on amazon and ebay, so i am left to bite the bullet and purchase the adequate 256kbps AAC version from the iTunes store. At least I don't have to buy Amazon's MP3 coded versions(typed with a smirk).
With the capacity of most iPods ranging between 8 and 160 GBs, I think it is safe to assume that storage space is not really an issue anymore. Let us cross our fingers for Apple Lossless soon(or use those fingers to raise typed awareness).

HT5085 When will music be available from iTunes in the iCloud for my country?

I live in Norway, and just recently discovered the iTunes in the iCloud feature while moving stuff from one failing computer to the next. I've managed to salvage most of my purchased tracks thanks to the copies on my iPhone, but sadly some are irretrievably lost. At least until I can download them again - not too keen on buying them a second time though.
So: Can we hope to see this feature made available to our region in the near future?

Unfortunately that's the only answer anyone here can give you (to any question about Apple futures), and quite probably would be the only answer Apple themselves could give you were they to answer such questions publicly, as it involves negotiations that are almost certainly ongoing.

When will Apple add an Enter to Send Message Option?

This is a problem that seems to have bugged many people for a long time. When using iMessage the <Enter> key adds a new line. This is great for emails, reports, Facebook, etc... but in iMessage it is a total pain as most messenger apps tend to simply send a message in single lines and not by paragraphs. Are there any ways to enable such an option? This is especially problematic for people who are typing on an external bluetooth keyboard (or a sliding qwerty case in the case of an iPhone). Even on my iPad the fact I can't simply hit <Enter> on the VIRTUAL keyboard while my thumb is right next to it and have to stretch it upwards in an uncomfortable fashion is a pain.
First world problems I know... but it would still be nice if Apple could at least add that option.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Does anybody know if Apple has ANY plans to implement such an obvious feature?

Apple treats iMessage as an instant message app. I have never run into an instant messenger that doesn't use return as a send. This was more so common amongst text messaging in the 90s. Either way, I am sure that many people are divided, but, requesting the implementation of the ability to either line feed or send doesn't seem like it is without merit. Anybody I have ever texted or sent an instant message to have usually replied in a rapid succession of lines as though it was a conversation and not a send and reply to lengthy correspondence.
I'm no no developer but it seems like all this would take is a tickmark in the messenger settings that maps the return key in iMessenger depending on what the user wants. Some people like a line feed for whatever reason and some want to just send a message as quickly and efficiently as possible. I would guess sending shorter quicker messages is far more common in iMessenger.

When will Apple add AC3 passthrough for 5.1?

A little disappointed, just bought a new Mac Mini but no 5.1 through Front Row. I guess this is a known issue for years now, so does anyone know when this will be fixed?
Front Row only will output 2 channel stereo from the core audio (Pro Logic 2). Passthrough AC3 is not output through the mini toslink to receiver. I was hoping to use the mini as a media hub but I'm about ready to return it if I can't have 5.1. I've research numerous workarounds, some of them involving Perian and executing the libra52 codec in terminal but if I have to do that every time I might as well just throw the dvd in rather than have them played in Front Row. I've got it to passthrough through VLC but again, I was hoping for Front Row.
Any ideas...

Can you add decent "Search" functionality to the Mozilla Support website?!

One of my biggest frustrations with Firefox is trying to make use of the Mozilla Support website. Almost every search I enter in the Search box yields 1000+ results. String delimiters (") to define phrases and operators like AND and OR appear not to work at all, and results seem to include ANY article that contains ANY of the words in the search box. This is next-to-useless, and I usually exhaust my patience sifting through unrelated articles, exiting the support site again with just a little less respect for Firefox/Mozilla.

This is a well known issue.
The search is even hardcoded into crash stats pages where it results in meaningless or misleading results.
Regulars know to use an external search engine because of this shortcoming. There are numerous instances where a string is useful the name of software or a feature for instance, but if one of the words is commonly used results max out and bury the real hits.

i searched in the UK store and the Australian store and the option for the unlocked iPhone 6 is available but the devices itself is not yet but the taxes are much higher and the phone is much more expensive from the U.S store

No one knows that at this point. In the recent past, the unlocked iPhones started out as only available in the retail Apple stores and not by on-line order. When they will be available or how has not been announced so far.
Keep in mind that purchasing an iPhone in another country is not a great idea since the warranty is only valid in the country of sale so if anything would go wrong there would be no service or support in another country.

When will Apple fix ITunes to work with Windows 7 (64)?

After many attempts, iTunes (10.5.1) can not synchronized with iPod . If I import musics or create a personal folder, all info will disappear after I close and re-open later iTunes. However works perfectly under Windows XP. It looks like an incompatibility problem between these two... When will Apple stop denying this and fix the problem? Two other friends have Windows 7 and they experience the same problem! All programs (iTunes, QuickTime and Bonjour were uninstalled and all folders removed from the computer. Even regestries were cleaned up!....Re-installed twice but iTunes still not function normally as far as synch features.

I don't know about iPod, but I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and other than a current problem accessing the iTunes store, it seems to work OK. I can sync my iPhone fine. Do you have a conflict with another software package you are running, like an anti-virus or firewall? It might not be, but in troubleshooting sync problems with my PC and iPhone previously, I found that I had a conflict with a firewall. The firewall has since been updated and is behaving nicely with iTunes now, but they can sometimes be a problem. Anyways, I hope this helps, but thought I'd mention that my Win7 x64 and iTunes 10.5.1 seems to sync OK in case it helps you to look for other causes to the problem.

When will Apple tv offer Setanta Sports as an online source of tv (soccer, rugby) sports? Setanta offers fantastic live and on demand soccer games online from around the world and should be set up the same as netflix or utube on apple tv.
