When will Apple resolve burning issues?

Question

Many pages on this board show issues with iTunes failing to burn CDs. Numerous makes and models and operating systems are involved. Error messages, failure to complete the burning process with no error, etc.
We can all run our diagnostics, change settings, update firmware, as many of us have done with no success.
Will the folks at Apple give us a fix?
This is obviously an inherent problem since most of us can burn CDs in other programs and formats.
My issue - iTunes just stops after initiating the process. It checks the playlist and then nothing.
This began two updates ago during the 7 series update I believe.
Settings are OK. HP has been contacted. Everthing is OK on my end.
Where are you Apple?

I was able to get my computer to run diagnostics on my CD drive. Oddly enough I opened the task manager window and ran diagnostics returning the following output:
