When will Captivate be added to the Creative Cloud?

When will Adobe add Captivate to the Cloud?  I'd really like to work within CS to create simple screen capture training videos.

Hi tc_dave,
I haven't heard of plans to include Captivate but I can pass it on as a feature request. I believe its currently included with the eLearning suite though.

Will Captivate be added to the list of Creative Cloud (CC) software programs (apps)? There are lots of programs already in the list, but are there any plans to add Captivate?

Pointless question. Anyone who knows these things is so high up in the hierarchy they will not care to visit this forum and even if they did, their NDAs would prevent them from sharing any such info before the official release date.

I've gone round and round their online support. Seems like it's all for specific apps. Can't find anything for the CC window itself.  Screen capture attached.
    Many thanks for your time!

  • When I click onto Apps in the Creative Cloud Dialogue box, nothing comes up.

I've downloaded the Creative Cloud Installer and I click onto it but nothing comes up in the Apps so I Can't install Indesign.

  • Why am I told that I only have a free trial version when I have a subscription to the Creative Cloud

I have a subscription to Creative Cloud (student and teacher version), but whenever I open one of the Adobe programs (installed using the Adobe Application Manager after signing in with my Adobe ID), I am told that I only have a trial version of the app. I am given the options to register the software or continue with trial. When I try to register, it tells me that I will sign in with my Adobe ID. After signing in, it asks me to input a serial number, but I never got a serial number so I can't do anything. Can anyone explain what's going on?

  • When will Lightroom be added?

When will Lightroom be added to Cloud ? I was under the impression it was included.

The fact is, you have the choice whether or not to upgrade to the CC product right now or wait for LR. You also have the choice to live with whatever you already use for photo management until LR is added to the Creative Cloud.
I'm guessing adding Lightroom to Creative Cloud is actually made MORE difficult due to the fact that the LR4 upgrade was released prior to CS6/CC. I'd assume that the LR licensing system is being retrofitted with the CC licensing and the install process is being integrated into the Adobe Installer process that the rest of CS6 uses. Lightroom has always been kind of an odd duck (it was the first Adobe app I can remember that had cross-platform licensing and it has never used the same install process as the rest of Adobe's apps). While CS5, 5.5 and 6 all use "Adobe Installer," Lightroom 4 is a standard Mac OS X package (on the Mac, I don't use Windows). It's going to take a while to integrate LR into the Creative Cloud. CS6 got the benefit of being developed and released alongside of Creative Cloud.
I'm sorry Adobe isn't giving you a drop-dead date, but they're actually being smart with that. If they told you June 1 and you made decisions based on that and that slipped (even a few days) you all'd be back in here moaning about how they missed their deadline and every news outlet in the world would give them guff about it. If they use nebulous language like "a few weeks" then you're (and I share this) a bit frustrated now, but it gives them a little flexibility in case things slip a bit.
I'm hardly an Adobe apologist (I think they've been a pretty abusive monopoly for a while now), but there are valid software development reasons that LR might not make it in on day 1. I also think Adobe deserves kudos for putting out a reasonably-priced subscription model and the new CS6 apps are awesome. I'm cautiously optimistic that they've turned the corner back to a company that I can get behind again.

I want to remove Adobe Updater from the menu bar!

Heyyo6789 depending upon the Adobe Creative software title installed the update mechanism in the menu bar may still be needed.
Thank you for the feedback.  This behavior will likely be changed in a future version of the Creative Cloud Desktop applications.  I would recommend referencing Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud app for desktop | Release Notes which is updated with features which have been added to the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • When I downloaded Photoshop from the Creative Cloud, it did not include Adobe Bridge?

When I downloaded Photoshop CS6 from the Creative Cloud, it did not include a copy of Adobe Bridge. Adobe Bridge does not appear in the selections in my Adobe File Manager to download from the Cloud. How do I obtain a copy of Adobe Bridge?

Bridge is automatically installed with Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator etc. There is no specific option to install it.

I have a macbook pro with IOS Yosemite and will not let me install the creative cloud on the desktop. I have proven repeatedly , but I get no result.

    Hi Lisssitzky,
Permissions often become corrupted when upgrading the Mac OS to Yosemite. Have you tried installing from a newly created admin account or the root user account?

  • Is there a chance that Captivate will be bundled into the Creative Cloud Suite?

Is there a chance that Captivate will be bundled into the Creative Cloud Suite?

When I'm asking about this in some webinars, I get mostly two answers: that is another business unit (Captivate and Presenter), or those applications are not considered for 'creative' people. The last reason always makes me laughing but is typical of the way 'big' Adobe is looking down on 'small' Adobe.
Rod, Framemaker and RoboHelp are not in the Creative Cloud neither. Both have a bit limited, but very specialized user base. And really, Framemaker has features that InDesign (which is much more promoted by Adobe) has not yet. It does publish directly to different ebook formats, which is still a very cumbersome work flow in InDesign who is the 'flagship', and where defenders mostly tell that FM is EOL. RH has even more formats available as output. Maybe Captiv8r, respected RH expert, can offer more info. Technical Communication Suite is the only suite that remains for the moment, version 5 was released two weeks ago.
Another possible reason, which doesn't apply to Captivate: Presenter, RoboHelp, Framemaker are not available for Mac (Presenter Express is only a small part of Presenter).
It is also my opinion, that at least Captivate belongs in the CC and that it 'could' extend the user base, but I'm a very bad marketing person, other people do know better.

After I purchased the creative cloud, I receive an error message when trying to use premier pro cc 2014.  It states "Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.2 has stopped working.  A problem has caused it to stop working.  Windows will close the program and notify you of a solution."  When I used the trial I never received this message.  Now after purchasing it I receive this error each time I open PP and am unable to use. it.  Any ideas or support to fix this issue?

What does the detailed crash report say?
And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers)

  • When Will the Creative Cloud be available in South Africa?

when will the adobe creative cloud be availabe in South Africa?

Unfortunately, Adobe has not provided a date for Cloud availability in South Africa, nor other countries not listed in the FAQ. No-one knows why.
    See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4459403
Adobe employees in these forums merely cut-and-paste the country list from the Creative Cloud FAQ, which does not list South Africa.
Beyond that there is no further info.
