Will Firefox for Android work on my Le Pan android tablet?

Possibly, it meets all the minimum specifications. Does the device have the Android market?
If not you can get Firefox manually at http://bit.ly/fennecftp Note there is no updater in this build so to stay safe and get the performance improvements you will need to check the link for new releases (every 6 weeks).

  • When is Firefox for Android going to support bookmark folders???

As in bookmarking into a specific folder, or moving a bookmark from one folder to another. Chrome has had this feature for long over a year now, but I don't want to use Chrome; I like Firefox.
Thanks in advance. I'm just wondering. Maybe there's something the matter that I'm not aware of, but it just seems like that's a basic bookmarking function that I would think Mozilla would have implemented by now for mobile.

hello Seib, this is certainly on the wish-list of things to implement in the browser - but development on it hasn't started yet, so it isn't possible to give a time-frame for such a feature unfortunately.
for progress on the subject you can also follow along bug #972193 (but please don't post in bug reports)....

  • I can't find Samsung Admire SCH-R720 on either the supported or unsupported lists for Firefox for Android. The phone seems to meet the minimum specs, TI OMAP 3610 processor (ARM-A8) and 512K of memory. Marketplace says not compatible. If not, why?

    Sorry, included details in question.

    Is the TIOMAP 3610 not a 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 ? which is ARMv7. http://phonecpu.com/omap-3610
It does however only has 125MB or 196MB RAM or such depending on sources when 512+MB is recommended.
The Motorola Defy in compatible list has the TI OMAP3610-800 or TI OMAP36300-800 but it has 512MB Ram.

  • When will Firefox have Adobe Flash for Android cell phones?

My website requires Adobe Flash Player to be installed to view images in my photo gallery. Why doesn't Mozilla Firefox support Adobe Flash Player? Will it be available in the very near future? This is an extremely important feature for my site.

Firefox can use Flash if it is on your device, although this may not always work perfectly. But Firefox never comes with Flash bundled in (I think this is due to Firefox using an open source software license).
This article has a link for installing Flash from Adobe's site: [[How do I watch Flash videos with Firefox for Android?]].
Regarding the design of your gallery, how does it work on Apple iOS devices that can't run Flash due to Apple policies? Maybe there's a similar "fallback" technique that can work on Firefox for Android if the user hasn't installed Flash.

  • When will firefox be available for Sony ericsson Experia x10i

Hi, I have a Sony ericsson Experia x10i smartphone. I cannot instal firefox a a browser because it has toolittle RAM.
When will Firefox issue a browser for this phone?

I dont know about the plans Mozilla are making for that but i can surely tell you that you can try fixing your RAM issue, and somehow the Android app of Firefox will be able to run. It actually should run, unless you have all sorts of stuff already running on the phone. Good Luck!

  • I downloaded Firefox for Android on my Galaxy Tablet 7.0. The browser works fine when I first open it. When not in use and try getting bk on, nothing loads up.

    SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 7.0
I have downloaded Firefox for Android on my tablet and added some add ons. When first using the browser, it works great and loads up fast. Once I get off Internet and try getting back on at a later time(whether it be a minute or longer), I type in a Web page address and nothing loads up. How can I fix this.

  • Firefox for Android will not play mp3

Hi! Why does Firefox for Android will not play mp3? For example the tracks on this page do not play http://audiobook-online.com/?page_id=33 . Firefox for windows plays mp3.
    Alexander

    Hello,
I've just tested and the mp3s on that page work fine for me. When I first visited the site I see a prompt at the top of the screen: "This page contains plugin content. Would you like to enable plugins".
I clicked Activate and the audio played fine.
If the pop-up doesn't appear then you can try enabling plugins across all pages. See here:
[[How do I watch Flash videos with Firefox for Android?|Play Flash Content Without Tapping]]
But be aware that there are security implications with this option. It is safer to keep flash as tap-to-play. There is more information on this in the article.
    I hope that helps.

  • How do I set the "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" in Firefox for Android?

Due to the security concerns from Heartbleed and Steve Gibson's excellent coverage on certification revocation, I have set "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" on my desktop Firefox and now want to do the same on Firefox for Android. I cannot find anything in the settings menu to allow this. Is it done through about:config and if so, what is the setting name there?

hello mcvickerp, in about:config you can switch the setting "security.OCSP.require" to true.

  • How to prevent video playback from getting paused when switching to another tab on Firefox for Android?

In Firefox for Android 27.0, if you play video in one tab and while it's playing you switch to another tab, the video gets paused. I want the video to continue to play while I'm viewing another tab (so I can at least hear its sound!).
    How can I do that?
How can I prevent Firefox for Android from pausing video playback when switching to another tab?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi hamid_ss,
Currently Firefox for Android does this by default with embedded players. Some sites go automatically to full screen too which may be what you are running into. Try it.

  • Why does Firefox for Android crash when I try to play any media or plugin content?

I have had this device ASUS MEMO Pad for 6 months and Firefox for Android has never been able to play any media or plugin content without crashing. I have tried playing flash with the appropriate flash plugin installed and without and it crashes every time (it should not crash even without the plugin - it should handle it).
Even HTML5 video and mp3 audio will cause a crash every time (with tap to play enabled or disabled).

  • When will firefox be available for ipad mini

when will firefox be available for ipad mini

Apple requires all web browsers in ios to use it's web browser framework.  Apple has done most of the work for writing a web browser app.  That is why you see so many web browsers in ios.  Firefox doesn't use this framework on the Mac.  It would have to toss much of the firefox code and replace it with Apple's framework.
If you need a web browser with more features, try iCab.
