When will Firefox have native DNSSEC support

At the moment DNSSEC support is only available using third party developed plugins - there are multiple plugins with different logic available. This all makes it hard for a simple home user to start noticing DNSSEC. As DNSSEC is spreading very quickly all over the world is there a plan to add native support for DNSSEC in the Mozilla products?

This doesn't seem to have started yet.

  • When will Firefox increase their HTML5 support?

Like, since Firefox 11 the HTML5 support hasn't gone up a bit. Like it supports 345 points. As when even Opera and Safari bulldozed Firefox with a 376 and 385 pointer. Then Chrome FLATTENED Firefox, with a 437 points. And even Internet Explorer is chasing Firefox like a cat and a mouse, with 319 points and counting. Like WHEN, will Firefox actually put some more effort into building their HTML5 support?

There is always work going on on increasing our support of the HTML5 standard. For example, from Firefox 14.0.1 to Firefox 17 (still in development, the HTML5Test has gone from 345 to 383. The HTML5 standard is still evolving, and work is always being done. However, this isn't the best place to discuss this. [https://developer.mozilla.org/ https://developer.mozilla.org/] is the developer portal for Firefox and covers all the HTML5 work going on.

  • When will Premiere have native dci mxf codec support?

We are desperately looking for an editorial solution that will enable us to edit unencrypted DCI MXF files natively.  We want to be able to bring the DCP audio and visual components onto a timeline, dissolve and edit and lay in subs and titles just like any other media and export without changing the codec, frame rate or the colour.  I downloaded the plug-ins from Rovi and the MXF's that the plug-in creates would not play on our Dolby server or in our DCP authoring machine and very inconveniently converted the colour space automatically???.
When will Adobe support this ubiquitous digital cinema output format, does anybody know?

MS Word for OS X has never supported Arabic (or Hebrew or any Indic langauge).  I think it is in fact the only word processor in the universe which cannot do Arabic on a Mac.   Common sense should tell you that the place to complain about that is Microsoft, not Apple.
OS X does have full Arabic support.  The best word processor to use is Mellel, but TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and OpenOffice should also work OK.  Plus of course Mail, Safari, etc.  iWork apps have bugs.

  • When will firefox be able to support html files in embed tags again?

A previous question was answered here that stated that firefox did not work with html files in embed tags. Is this a problem that is currently being worked on, or does Firefox just no longer support this?

hello, a html file is no suitable content for an <embed>-tag. you'll have to use ''iframe ''or ''object ''for it instead...

  • When will Firefox have a solution for the 'McAfee site advisor' problem in the new version 5 of the browser?

I love Firefox and always keep it updated with the latest version, but the new version 5 keeps saying that McAfee Site Adviser will be disabled when I upgrade. So, I haven't downloaded the upgrade. I also love and depend on my site adviser and I'm not willing to loose it. Is Firefox working on a solution for this problems and if so, when do they expect to have a solution in place?

  • When will Firefox have Adobe Flash for Android cell phones?

My website requires Adobe Flash Player to be installed to view images in my photo gallery. Why doesn't Mozilla Firefox support Adobe Flash Player? Will it be available in the very near future? This is an extremely important feature for my site.

Firefox can use Flash if it is on your device, although this may not always work perfectly. But Firefox never comes with Flash bundled in (I think this is due to Firefox using an open source software license).
This article has a link for installing Flash from Adobe's site: [[How do I watch Flash videos with Firefox for Android?]].
Regarding the design of your gallery, how does it work on Apple iOS devices that can't run Flash due to Apple policies? Maybe there's a similar "fallback" technique that can work on Firefox for Android if the user hasn't installed Flash.

  • When will Firefox 7 support websockets (like Safari and Chrome)?

A test query to websockets.org echo test gets the result: "...the browser doesn't have native support for WebSocket". The same test using Safari or Chrome on a Mac results in: "This browser supports WebSocket". Same problem whether on OS X 10.6 or 10.7. When will Firefox 7 catch up to Safari and Chrome?

In Firefox you need to use MozWebSocket.

  • HT5628 When will Windows 8.1 be supported on Boot camp 5? I have a new Mac book Pro 2013 and cannot install. Apple please advise.

When will Windows 8.1 be supported on Boot camp 5? I have a new Mac book Pro 2013 and cannot install. Do I return the Windows version and try to download 8.0, or wait it out until it is supported? New to Mac's.
    Apple please advise.

Apple does not respond in these forums except occasionally an Apple employee will stop by. If you want to contact Apple, use the contact us link at the bottom of this page.
With respect to your question "When will Windows 8.1 be supported on Boot camp 5?" you are asking us to speculate as to when Apple will release their drivers supporting Windows 8.1. We do not know, and we can not speculate as to when. From the terms of use of this forum:
"Unless otherwise noted, do not add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:

The planned dates of production or release of Windows 8.1 drivers are speculation about the drivers.
With respect to your other question, "Do I return the Windows version and try to download 8.0, or wait it out until it is supported? New to Mac's.". I answered you.

  • When will SSDT-BI for VS2013 support SSIS 2012?

    Hi
When will SSDT-BI for VS2013 support SSIS 2012?
Of a bit more elaborate: If you would like to develop packages for SSIS 2012 (that is SQL 2012) using VS 2013, when can you then expect an update to SSDT-BI for VS2013 that allow this?
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
The Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools - Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2013 is the native SSDT of SQL Server 2014. Be different from SSRS and SSAS projects, SSIS projects created in SSDT (SQL Server 2012 version or SQL Server 2014 version) are not
backward compatible. So, it won’t be supported to create SSIS 2012 format packages in Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools - Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2013.
There are already two versions of SSDT for SQL Server 2012: the native one that uses Visual Studio 2010 shell, and the
standalone one that uses Visual Studio 2012 shell. Personally, I don’t think they will plan a third version of SQL Server 2012 SSDT that uses Visual Studio 2013 shell.

  • When will firefox be coming out with the complete 5.0 version that is compatible with McAfee site advisor? As I understand it is beta now.

McAfee told me the current 5.0 version is a beta version, which is why Site advisor will not work with it. They also told me they are not updating site advisor anytime soon. So when will Firefox be updated to a complete and compatible version?

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.

  • When will LR3 be updated to support D600 RAW files?

When will LR3 be updated to support D600 RAW files?

When? I believe the answer is that it will NOT be updated to support D600 RAW files.
To use D600 with LR3, you will have to download and use the free Adobe DNG Converter. However, I don't think the most current version handles D600 RAWs, so you will have to be patient on this. According to one knowledgeable source, the update will be available soon.
Or you can upgrade to LR4, and at some point in the future (allegedly "soon") it will be able to handle D600 RAW files.
