I see the firefox phones for sale on ebay and want to buy one. Which carrier can I use it on?

# $50/month, Basic/quick messaging phone plan. ZTE Open US can be set to use only 2G EDGE network: Settings : Cellular & Data : Network operator : Network type. This plan is truly unlimited because it is considered slow enough to prevent excessive data usage.
# $60/month, Smartphone plan. By default, ZTE Open US will use high speed 3.5G HSPA network. This plan is limited to 2GB/month transit, extra 1GB for $10.
Technically speaking, the first plan is compatible with 3.5G HSPA network, but termination of service is likely to happen sooner than it would otherwise (using the phone with the first plan probably violates your agreement anyway).
The second plan is worth the extra $10; you can set the phone to 2G EDGE by default and reserve 3.5G HSPA for times when you really need it.
The Usage app is indispensable in preventing unexpected overages. It is included in Notifications pulldown, allowing for real time monitoring, so you can make sure it works.
