When will flash be available for iPhone?

I just watched the impressive iOS5 preview video and was sad to see that Apple has still not incorporated Flash into their iOS. I was just wondering if anyone knew when they might, and what is the hold up?

The official word from Steve Jobs is never.
This has been asked over and over and over again on these forums.
Do a search.
And even if anybody from Apple knew something, they can't and won't say anything, especially here.

I Just Wanted To Ask That Will Siri Be Available For Iphone 4 In The Near Future ???

This has been asked and answered here many times already, but again, Apple has made no indications that Siri will ever be available for any existing device other than the iPhone 4S. We'll all just have to wait and see.
    Regards.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Communities page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums and in the Apple Knowledge Base, before you post a question.

  • Will flash be available for iphone?

I'm workin on html5 (edge+dreamweaver) and it still got problems, if flash will be available for iphone we can continue our way with flash?

    Hello,
Flash allows you deliver applications for iOS by prepackaging Flash content and applications in to AIR. You can also take advantage of the Toolkit for CreateJS publish your Flash designs and assets in to HTML5. See this for more information:

  • When will Flash be available for iPad?

    does anyone know?

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices and the no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • When will bumpers be available for iPhone 5?

I am waiting for an Apple Bumper to become available for purchase...  Does anyone know when it will be available and why it is taking so long to come out?
    Thanks!
    Steven

They did NOT make them for the 4S.  They made them for the iPhone 4 after that whole (now refuted) "antennagate" issue.  The antenna in the 4S is NOT the same as in the 4.  Because the iPhone 4 and 4S were the same size, people could use the iPhone 4 bumper on their 4S.

  • When will Firefox be available for iPhone or iPad?

    Safari is lacking!

Apple has strict control over which apps can be in the iTunes store. They won't allow apps that contain programming languages such as JavaScript (a key part of the web). They also prohibit apps that duplicate functionality of core apps.

Adobe is working on a Flash to HTML5 converter that will convert your Flash applets to HTML5, you can check it out here -http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/wallaby/
Incorrect, Wallaby does not convert Flash applets to html5.
What Wallaby does is allow you to use ONE tool in flash, the timeline, which is used to draw and animate. Nothing else flash does can be exported using wallaby, only timeline animations.
Basically what wallaby does is allows you to make an html5 equivilent of an animated .gif
ZERO code used in flash is exported, meaning zero interactivity can be exported.
Not only does wallaby only export timeline animation in animated gif format for use in html5, but it cant even export filters, like glows, drop shadows etc.
Wallaby simply takes advantage of a new animation element just released on the web called <canvas> it uses canvas to show your animation, exactly like a gif. No interactivity, no code, nothing, simply a stationary animation.
What you do with that animation beyond wallaby is up to you, just like developers have been using animated gif advertisements, wallaby is ment to do the exact same thing, allow advertisers who have simple animation banner ads, publish them to html5 format for use on ios.
Yes that is right... no longer do you have the ability to block ads on ios like you can on all other systems, because your ads very soon will be in a format that you or your computer can not distinguish between actual needed content.
Again, wallaby simply makes html5 versions of animated gifs you build on the timeline, that is all it does, it makes animated gifs.

  • When will Siri be available for the iPod Touch and the iPad?

When will Siri be available for the iPod Touch and the iPad? Really wish Siri would be expanded to other high end Apple devises like the iPod Touch 4th generation and the new iPad instead of it just being iPhone 4S exclusive. That's such a cool feature!

Well.. Me and one of my good friends both have iPod Touch 4th gen 32gb's and my friend read on the Technobuffalo website that IOS 5.1 was suppose to come with Siri for the iPod touch and probably the iPad and I updated my iPod 4th gen to IOS 5.1 and it still doesn't have Siri !

when will airplay be available for other iMac?
    Probably never.
Airplay mirroring is only available on these models:
    iMac (Mid 2011 or newer)
Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer)
MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer)
It will presumably become available on future Mac releases. For everyone else, there's the third-party, AirParrot.
