When will I use object locking by User ID report?

Hello,
I am using EP7 SP9.
I would like to see all the locked users at the portal.
The problem is that even that there are locked users (I can locate them individually using the UME), the object locking report doesn't show them when I search by User ID.
I know I can search it at the UME advanced search, so what the object locking by User ID is used for?

Hi,
You can view all the locked objects in your portal under System Administration>>Monitoring. Under the Portal tree node, click on the Object Locking. You can enter the search criteria to UserId and perform the search operation.

Sujana

  • When will we use inner class

    hi
when will we use inner class?

JosAH basically already wrote this, but another way
to say the same thing is this. If you are writing a
class and you find it would be handy to have another
class for that class to use, you can either write a
separate class for each, or you can embed one in the
other, making it an inner class. One advantage of an
inner class is that you can meet a set of
specifications by not having an extra class. It also
makes more sense to have an inner class if it's
something that's not useful on its own.I think it is the second most important advantage of inner class
(First is: you can access the private members of the outer class)

  • Object locked by User

    Hi ,
When Iam trying to run a ASO cube which has 22 dimension thru .msh which will refresh the outline and then loads the data i.e full load. Iam facing this below error
WARNING - 1053010 - Object [cust] is already locked by user [abc].
I tried by unlock the rule files its not working out. Could you please help me what would be the problem ?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Raj.

I am suddenly getting the same error (started last week) during my scheduled cube builds. I have all the above commands in my script. There are no users logged in and no objects. The error is actually stating that the current user (the id used for the cube build) has the object locked. This occurs every morning on all my daily cubes. When i manually execute the cube build scripts after the error occurs, they work fine. Some additional notes. The Server is brought down every night and is brought back up every morning at 5am. The cube builds kick off at 7am. I cannot figure out what could be causing this, since it's been working fine for the last couple of years.

  • Using bind variables in user defined reports

How do I go about using a bind variable in a user defined report?
    Here's a trivial example in SQL*Plus:
    var ublocksize number
    begin
    select value into :ublocksize
    from v$parameter
    where name = 'db_block_size';
    end;
    select :ublocksize from dual;
This code does not work in raptor.
    The error displayed is:
Missing IN or OUT parameter at index:: 1
    Vendor code 17041
    any ideas?

You also have a second issue of supporting the following syntax in SQL scripts:
    var ublocksize number
    begin
    select value into :ublocksize
    from v$parameter
    where name = 'db_block_size';
    end;
We are itterating to support all SQL plus commands

  • Q: General : When will you use Web Service as opposed to just Servlet and/or EJB?

    Hi,
I don't know if this is an appropriate question to ask for this class as it's not
    workshop
specific. I was wondering how will I decide when it is appropriate to use a web
service as opposed to say servlet or an EJB for my application? What is a good
    rationale to use?
    Thanks,
    Sadhana

    Hi Adam,
Thanks a lot for giving such a lucid explanation of my vague question!
I understand now the difference between when to use EJBs/Servlets/Web Services.
    Thanks again!

    Hi Sadhana,
Web service versus Servlet versus EJB. Which one to use? That is a very
    good question.
EJBs should be the core desription and processing of your business rules.
    They generally
have good performance, are easy to integrate into your security set up but
    they require
access using the RMI-IIOP protocol. This means that generally EJBs are not
    accessible
outside of your firewall and their clients have to be written in Java (other
    enterprise
objects or applets or GUI applications).
Servlets often form a web-based front end to EJBs. They also have good performance,
integrate into security and only require HTTP access. This means they are
    accessible
outside your firewall and any client with a HTTP or web API can call on
    them, however,
there is no standard contract or rules for this type of interaction so you
    will need
provide direct input into development of the client.
Web services are also accessible via HTTP and so can be accessed from outside
    your
firewall. In fact, Web services internally within Workshop and WebLogic
    actually
operate by using servlets and EJBs but the main advantage is that the mechanism/contract
for interacting with the web service is a well defined standard (WSDL) and
    can actually
be registered or retreived dynamically (UDDI). Since web service standards
    are open,
most popular programming languages already provide client APIs to interact
    with them
thus freeing the web service developer from direct interaction with the
    client developer
and letting the client be developed on any platform. The penalty for this
    openness
is a small performance hit (XML translation) and a slowly maturing security
    model.
So in summary, use EJBs for business operations that have Java clients within
    your
enterprise, use servlets to provide web style access to your business operations
(like web pages) and use web services to enable automated clients that can
    be written
on any platform either inside or outside your enterprise (firewall). In
    fact, it
is common to write the EJB first and then to expose some parts of it outside
    of your
enterprise by writing a web service wrapper (maybe using the EJB controls
    that we
    saw in class).
    I hope this helps.

  • Java error message when trying to use browser locks phone

I have a Bold 9650 and when I go to the internet, I get an error message that says, "Uncaughtexception:java.lang.illegalArgumentException"
It won't go away from the screen when I click on OK. I can say OK over and over until about 15-30 minutes later when it finally decides to unlock.
I have tried pulling the battery, doing all upgrades, backing up the phone, security wiping the phone and it keeps coming back! help please!

    Hello LadyLaura,
In the past this issue was caused by the Yahoo Messenger application. Try this:
1]First delete the application (i.e yahoo messenger). After doing this, you will be asked to reboot and allow it to happen.
2]  Once rebooting is done, go to Options > advanced options > applications and then menu > Modules.
3] Scroll down and to the bottom of the modules list, you would be able to see a net_rim_yahoo_messenger module. Remove that also.
4]  Again you will be asked to reboot and allow it.
5] Now, install Yahoo Messenger once again.
    Thank you,

Hey flounder, I am myself confused about garbage collection and assertions (yesterday)... Anyway because of ur interest in answering my query, I'll give one more try... But, if it's wrong, Please help me out.
The Demo (not demo) object created at line 4 has one 'this' reference on the next line. And as soon as this reference is eleigible, I guess even Demo d will be eligible. Correct?

  • When will D610 tether support be available in Lightroom?

I was excited to hear Lightroom 5.5 has been released. Imagine my chagrin to learn, yet again, tethering for the Nikon D610 is not available in this update. When will it be available?
Also, market share reports show there are more Android users than iOS - I am one of those Android users - and yet no Lightroom mobile app for Android. I find that pretty perplexing. While I understand the Photography community does tend to favor Apple products, there are still a great many PC and Android users who are disappointed.
    Currently using:
    Nikon D610 w/ 28-85mm VR kit
    Tokina SD 16-28 F2.8
    AF VR-NIKKOR 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6D
    Nikon Speedlight SB800
    Nikon Speedlight SB900
    Samsung Galaxy S5
Dell Core i7-4500U Laptop running Windows 8 64-bit, 16GB RAM, 1TB SATA hybrid drive, 2GB GeForce 750 DDR5, 17.3" LED backlit touch display, 1920x1080 resolution

Following that annoying discovery I came up with a workaround via Aperture (at least it works on my macbook).
Use the Auto Import setting i LR. You can't set it to watch the Aperture library and auto import directly from there. BUT if you create a backup folder in Aperture, you can let LR watch that and you just enable auto import and bob's your uncle
It takes a little extra work and patience, but it will let you tether into LR which I prefer over Aperture. And after the session, you can just throw away the files in the Aperture Library if you make sure that the files are copied into LR and not just added.
