When will iTunes be back to normal?

hello all, I have been noticing for the past few weeks that there are no new releases in most catagories.
Just best of 2012. Is this all there is? So much more happening but not on iTunes?

I see new releases in the Recent Releases section for the week of Dec 18 and 25, so again, at least in the US iTunes Store they're only behind by one Tuesday which was of course New Year's Day. So it doesn't seem that they're very far behind.
But again, we know nothing more than you do.

If that does't help, try resetting Winsock. This has solved the problem for some people, at least.
1) Click on your start menu.
2) Go to accessories
3) Run the Command Prompt application. For those with Vista or Windows 7, right click on Comman Prompt and choose "run as administrator".
4) Once it opens, type in the following command...
netsh winsock reset
5) hit Enter and it should say something like Winsock reset successful.
6) Reboot your computer and try the iTunes Store again.

Will iTunes Match back up music that's not in iTunes but on my iPhone 5?

My music (that was not purchased in iTunes) was deleted from my iTunes account but it's still on my iPhone 5? Will iTunes Match back this content up?

Sorry. This makes very little sense. It sounds like it's in recovery mode, which means you need to plug it into your computer running iTunes and restore it.

Are you sure the card info is valid. I just made a purchase with no problem. If there is a system outage there is no one here that can help you. This is a user forum. You would need to contact Apple directly.

When will apple bring back EDGE??

when will apple bring back the ability to drop-down to the EDGE network? I get horrible 3G service at work and the EDGE was always strong. Plus, I could always put my phone on EDGE to save some battery (at night, in meetings, etc). Please bring back EDGE!

With full understanding the current (as of Dec 2012) iTunes U policy allows for only:
"K-12 school districts, universities, and colleges in 26 countries can enroll in iTunes U to distribute courses and collections of education content that anyone can access."

As an All-Apple educator/trainer/author/speaker...I know there are many, many, many of us who would put iTunes U-like resources to immediate use in a commerical-context (of course, assuming content access can be appropriately restricted to authorized users).
WOULD AN AUTHORITATIVE Apple representative please REPLY?
Time-is-of-the-Essence: Many trainers (including myself) are preparing 2013 materials...some of us want to use iTunes-U...we would gladly create valuable content on the platform...OR—we're going to have to go the Kindle-route...and make this year+ spanning election quite soon.

When will iTunes U be available in more Countries

I am a professor at a university in Turkey where the medium of instruction is English. We are very keen to use iTunes U to share our lectures from the Schools of Engineering and Finance as well as keynote speeches by world-renowned scholars with our students. When will iTunes U be available in counties other then the current short list? Is Turkey on the list of countries to be added soon?

No one here can say for sure when this may happen. This is a user to user forum. Apple apparently neede to work out the legal ramifications to make the services available.
