When will my Cabinet get upgraded, Can anyone help...
Hi work used to pay for my broadband, but I now need to get my own. My exchange was infinity enabled last month, but not my cabinet, I need to know when it is likely to be upgraded before committing to a provider. Can anyone out there find out if an upgrade is in the offering. Would be very much appreciated.

If your phone service is provided by BT, enter it at:
http://www.bt.com/infinity
This will show when it is likely to be enabled.
The Openreach website confirms your exchange is enabled, but obviously (from what you've said) not your cabinet.
If you're not with BT, you could ask a neighbour who is with them to enter their phone number on the website above.
When it comes to providers, all the ISPs use the OpenReach network for super fast, fibre broadband, except for Virgin, who have their own.
Accordingly, if the check says not available in the near future, your only other option would be to see if Virgin provide a similar high speed link to your property.

I had talked with three people at Apple tech support on the phone, one person in the Apple store in Indianapolis, plus the other places I mentioned. Only the one young man in the Apple store was even able to identify the problem which was the POP vs. IMAP issue. And then like you said he was only able to say he hoped it would be fixed in the next update release. I did call him back this morning and told him about your simple solution, that I had seen it at the Apple forum, and that he might suggest bringing this topic up at the next staff meeting. I also let my Verizon rep know and an agent at Comcast. Something so simple yet it took three days and a lot of frustration to get fixed. Thanks again. You're my hero! ~ Carol Thomas
Also forgot to mention ... I got the iPhone 6 Plus about three weeks ago and did not have this problem. But I did a backup of my iPhone 5S on the computer and then used that backup to restore to my new iPhone. The iPad I did differently and just set it up as a new iPad with no restoring from the old one. That must have made a difference on the phone because it was set up just like the 5S ... as a POP3. -
I don't understand why a person who has been with a company for 6 years cant get a simple upgrade can anyone help figure that out?
Are you trying to get an upgrade before you're actually eligible? If that is the case, it doesn't matter if you've been a customer for 6 years or 6 days...if you're not eligible then you're not eligible. Some of your possible options are to pay full retail, do an early edge up (if you are eligible for that option), or buying a phone from some other source to use.
If your situation is something different then it might help to share that. The options may still be the same but it helps to know what exactly the issue is. -
I bought a second hand G4 iBook with iLife 09 on it. I have copied iLife to my new Macbook Pro. The applications would not open, so I did a software update and update all three applications, but they will still not open. Can anyone help?
The seller should have given you the original disk so that you can reinstall as needed. But it likely was a single-user license (which really means single computer) so you can only have a copy on one computer at a time. If the seller didn't give you the disk he is probably still using the software on his new Mac. Your best option to get any of the iWork apps to use in OS X 10.6.6 or later is through the Mac App Store. You can then install them on any Mac you have that has access to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID.

Try opening mail, highlight your mailbox, under mailbox menu click rebuild mailbox.

If you log into Icloud.com, are all your contacts correct there? If the answer is Yes, I would then turn contacts OFF on your phone, and then turn them back on. Do not merge, but replace with Icloud content.
This is usually the quickest way to edit a bunch of contacts, through the web interface. -

Mines been doing it for at least 6 months.Support had me do a reset and when that didnt work,they convinced me to update to version 11.That was a waste of time... Even if I open the App Store with nothing but basic utilitys loaded on my iPad,the App Store closes/crashes for no "Obvious" reason.However internal diagnostics show the cause is that the App Store is overloading the iPads processor.I have tons of memory on my iPad (64GB) but apparently the newer versions of the iTunes App Store are overloading it, (Even in a stripped down state).
Solution? I have never gotten any helpfull answers from support in nearly 6 months.So, other than reverting to an even earler version of iTunes (Pre version 10.7 at least for me),or using something like the "Apple Sliced "App... Most of them are free,and have a few good features, but all that I've tried are are less usefull for doing App searches.
It was a real shock to me ,when support claimed it had never heard about this issue before.These forums would indicate differently.It seems really stupid to design a basic utility, that a fair number of customers wont be able to use, and recieve no warning before encouraging us to install it.. -

Try tapping Settings > FaceTime, turning FaceTime Off, editing the Apple ID associated with FaceTime, and then turning it back on.

It sounds like Adobe Reader X is your default PDF file handler. Launch Adobe Reader X. Choose Edit > Preferences > General. Click the 'Select Default PDF Handler' button at the bottom and choose Acrobat 9 from the drop-down menu. Click Apply, then OK.
Restart your computer. Acrobat 9 should now be your default PDF file handler again.

I installed the Twitter application on my ipod, the newest ipod, I believe its the 5th generation, with the iOS 5.0.1 and everytime I open the app, where my timeline should be it just says "Protected Tweets" and whenever I try to compose a tweet it says "Error posting message. There was an error posting your tweet. It has been saved as a draft, please try resending later. (Error:unauthorized)" Can anyone help me out ?Go into the iPad settings app and check your settings for twitter. I found that my password was short one character for some reason.
