When will Oracle Forms 11 released?

When will Oracle Forms 11 released?
Is Oracle Forms 11 a part of Oracle Application Server 11 or will Forms 11 published in a Developer Suite?
thx
Wolle

nobody knows a fix date. Only Larry knows more.
But if we look back the last ten years, then Larry accounced his brand new products at his Oracle Open World conferences
This year in November: http://www.oracle.com/openworld/overview.html

  • When will Oracle Database 10GR2 released for windows?

this database release has some interesting .NET features

I haven't seen a release date yet. Probably anytime within the next ninety days.
As I recall, the Windows release was the last flavour of 10g R1 to be wheeled out. There may be technical reasons for this but I suspect it's due more to Larry's antipathy towards billg. Certainly the fact that the first flavour out of the door is Red Hat testifies to Oracle's take-up of Linux as its platform of choice.

  • When is Oracle Forms 11 going to be released?

When is Oracle Forms 11 going to be released?

Due to Sarbanes-Oxley Act regulations regarding revenue recognition Oracle has decided to not give out release dates with higher precision than 12 months. The current planned release date for Oracle Weblogic Server Suite 11g (which is the edition that will contain Oracle Forms and Reports) is calendar year 2009.

When will oracle release patch for bug: 18469114. New reporting requirements regarding ACA and forms 1094-c and 1095-c.

It's more likely that OracleAS 11(g?) will be available at the end of this year or begginning of next year.

  • When will Oracle 10g/11g support Windows Server 2008 and AIX6.1

    Hi all
I'm sorry if I post it in a wrong place... But I really want to know when will Oracle 10g/11g support Windows Server 2008 and AIX 6.1?
I've searched in metalink but found nothing useful. Is there anybody can give me a link of Oracle's roadmap for platform support?
    Thanks!

Oracle does not announce release dates and neither
does any other software company. But Oracle does have a very good track record of supporting their products on new windows releases extremely close to the windows release date. Clearly they can't support on an unreleased platform though. Given that the launch of Server 2008 isn't even complete worldwide yet (19th March in the UK for example) it would seem that this enquiry is a little premature.

  • Oracle SQL-92 Non compliance:  When will oracle support empty strings?

Oracle is the only database on the planet that equates an empty string to a null value. For several major versions, Oracle has said "Make sure you don't rely on null and empty string equivalency because it could go away in the future." When will Oracle get with it and support this aspect of the SQL-92 standard (not to mention mathmatical logic)?

You log enhancement requests through Metalink.
The procedure is documented in Metalink document 166650.1 as follows:
How to Log an Enhancement Request:
Create a new Service Request in MetaLink.
On the Create a SR - Brief Description screen, in the Type of problem field, select Enhancement Request.
Important factors to remember when filling out the Enhancement Request Service Request template and creating the Service Request:
Fully describe why the current product functionality does not meet your needs.
Explain in detail the enhancement you would like implemented
If possible, describe how the product can be changed to achieve the desired results.
Describe your business expectations. Include key milestone dates and justifications as to why this request is so important and the benefits your organization stands to gain should this request be accepted.
Once your Service Request has been created, it will be assigned to a Support Engineer who will validate your information. In some cases, your request may be a new or known product defect that the Support Engineer can either provide a fix, a workaround, or introduce to Oracle Development for resolution. In other cases, you may be presenting a valuable product enhancement that can improve Oracle product functionality. In all cases, the Support Engineer will be able to qualify your request and pass along the information to Oracle Development.
Once the Support Engineer validates your request, and an agreed upon action plan is created, your Support Engineer will create a new Enhancement Request and provide you with an Enhancement Request tracking number. The BUG search tool on MetaLink can then be used to receive status updates.
Please note that the Support Engineer will close the SR once the enhancement has been logged.
    Also, see document 214168.1

What exactly do you want to do with Designer? You need to install the Designer repository in a Oracle database before you can use Designer.
I suggest that you read the Repository Installation Guide (installed with the product or on OTN) and then go through the Designer Tutorial on OTN (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/designer/9i_collateral.htm#tut) to understand some Designer concepts.

  • Incorrect font displayed when running oracle form 4.5

    Hi,
I created a couples of form using Oracle Form 4.0 . Now I
install developer/2000 v1.3.2 to use Oracle Form 4.5.
However, when I run my forms by using Oracle Form 4.5, all the
text fonts are not displayed correctly ( I use font of Helvetica,
with font size 14). If anyone know the reason, please tell me how
to fix this problem. I appreciate it. Thanks
    null

    David,
if you really want to deploy the Forms as a Web (and so launch from a browser) you need to set up the Forms Server
and deploy your Forms to the Forms server. This will make the forms availabe by access from the URL
    e/g/ http://machinename/virtual_directory/forms_file.html
the forms_file.html then points to the fmx you want to run.
However, if you want to set this up you really need to look at the documentation (see the online manual) or look at the white
    papers on OTN.
I could be that you coul still launch the client server version from a URL but I am not sure this would really work (
what about lunching a .bat file from the URL and this bat file will countain the command line for running a form - that
way you can test it from outside the portal to get it working first).
    regards
    Grant Ronald

  • Problem of Installation of Oracle Forms & Reports Release 6i in Win XP Pro

I can install Oracle Forms and Reports Release 6i in a P4 WinXP machine by using different Oracle Home. But the Net8 Easy Config cannot be run. This can be solved by editing the file TNSNAMES.ORA manually to configurate the connection. After that, the forms is workable but when I print the report, the report background engine show the error for printing.
I am still asking for whether any patch files or update can be downloaded to fix the installation problem of Oracle Forms and Report 6i in WinXP Pro.

I don't have the 651, but the 865.  The 865 came with a Mega disc and required installing the Intel drivers from the disc.  Since the 865 is driven primarly by USB, windows would attempt to assign a driver to motherboard and devices, but would inevitably be wrong.  Only by installing the Intel drivers were things found properly.
Is there any chance there are such drivers with the 651 as well?

TRY WINDOWS . but what about linux then? is there any solution on this error?
i am not much used to front-end ( java i mean). i am Oracle DBA Actually n want to install n try Weblogic
    Kindly Help...

You can just copy the relevant parts (the ones marked with error). You can also look at the timing
when it happened the reports environment did not start.
From what i remember this could be a memory issue, standard every managed server (WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) instance
is configured with 1024m bytes of memory.
What we did is first install a forms instance and after that a reports instance. After the forms installation we adjusted the
memory parameters in setWLSEnv (<middleware-home>/user_projects/domains/<domain-name>/bin). Look in this file
    for references to WLS_FORMS (something similar to: if [ "${SERVER_NAME}" = "WLS_FORMS" ] ; then).
Another thing which springs to my mind is, which products did you select. If you just want Forms and Reports
you can select just the following:
    - Oracle Forms
    - Oracle Reports
    - Developer Tools aan.
    - Management Components
    - Oracle HTTP Server
    and deselect the other options:
    - Oracle Portal
    - Oracle Discoverer
    - Oracle WebCache
    - Clustered (if you are not using clustering)
We also had to fix the following files (i do not think that you have to do this since your Forms did not show any problems):
    - (On Windows) Copy the file msvcr71.dll (FMW/windows/extra) to WINDOWS/system32.
    - Copy the file mod_wl_ohs.so (FMW/<operating-system>/extra) to <middleware-home>/as_1/ohs/modules.

This tells me you are using a 3rd party or locally developed Java Bean to perform some type of print function. Is this correct?
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.Does your printtext.jar Java Bean need to open an HTTP connection in order to print?
Have you been able to print in the past using this Java Bean? Where did you get the Java Bean?
RegisterWebUtil - Loading WebUtil Version 10.1.2.0Your form appears to be using WebUtil. Has it been successfully configured?
Honestly, you need to list the following minimum information when you post a question; it gives us all or most of the information we need to help you and it eliminates the need for us to ask for this information. Please always include:
    * Forms Version (eg; 10.1.2.0.0 not 10g)
    * Java Version
    * Client OS version
    * What you were doing when the error occured.
