When will OSB 11G avaliable ?

Our client decide to use 11g BPEL manager running on WLS. And we hope can use OSB (currently 10.3) as the proxy of BPEL Service .
The thing is the BPEL transport n OSB 10.3 seems not support BPEL 11G (the format of Endpoint URI changed in 11G)and we have some asynchronous BPEL processes need to be integrated .
Any solution for that ?
Thanks
Kevin

You are correct, the BPEL transport in 10.3.x only supports 10.1.3.x BPEL.
However you can communicate via other adapters, e.g. web service, JMS, etc.
As an interim use OSB 10.3.1 and use a transport of your choice, Web Service is probably best. The when 11g arrives it is just a matter of changing the business service the resat of the process should remain in tact. Obviously there will be an upgrade exercise for OSB but unless you are facing major performance issues there should be no rush to do this.
Basically I believe you are looking at the right architecture and shouldn't be swayed because there is no 11g BPEL adapter.
OSB 11g should be out some time next year, so it is some time away.
cheers

  • When will the 11g OCM be published?

    Dear Friends
    When will the 11g OCM be published?
    Do we have a beta phase like the other exams?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Hub

    10g OCM will still be available after 11g OCM is released.
    There will not be a 9i to 10g OCM upgrade. We are currently getting the webpages updated for this. 9i OCM was offered in only 5 locations worldwide. When Oracle developed 10g OCM, the goal was to transition to a new model that would allow any OU location to offer OCM. Developing and implementing the architecture to support this has been an immensely complicated project, and it precluded us from developing an Upgrade exam for 9i OCMs. With 11g OCM, our first launch will be the 1-day upgrade exam for 9i and 10g OCMs.
    9i OCMs will need to meet THREE requirements to upgrade to 11g OCM:
    - Upgrade their OCP credential to 11g OCP,
    - Pass the 1-day 11g OCM Upgrade Exam
    - Earn the Oracle Database 10g or Oracle Database 11g RAC Administrator Certified Expert Credential
    10g OCMs will need to meet TWO requirements:
    - Upgrade their OCP credential to 11g OCP
    - Pass the 1-day 11g OCM Upgrade Exam.
    This information will be released on the website soon along with preliminary exam objectives.

  • When will it be avaliable for fifth generation ipods?

    I Cant believe this is only for iposd nano, does anybody no when it will be compatable with the fifth generation ipods?

    it would take much more than 1000-2000 signatures. this would cost apple money to write the software and whatnot to get it to work on the other iPods so they're not gonna do for such a small amount of people.

  • OSB 11g: Conditional Branch value will not accept string Value

    OSB 11g 11.1.1.3.0 (OSB11_MAIN_GENERIC_100418.1323885)
    When I edit a message flow and create a conditional branch I:
    1. Enter an Xpath expression
    2. Name the variable containing the XPath expression
    3. Select an operator (=)
    4. Enter a string value for Value: 'true'
    5. Give the label a name (isMember)
    6. Save my work
    7. When I go back into the branch the 'true' value is gone and the Value field is blank.
    If I enter a number it saves fine - only when I enter text with single quotes
    is this a known bug?

    Thank you, however I still think this is a bug because:
    1. Version 10g training materials has this example as a lab exercise and says in particular 'make sure to place single quotes around the text string: 'true')
    2. The documentation for 11g says to enter a value but does not say it cannot be a 'string'
    3. If I don't enter any value for the value field, when I click Save it indicates an error -the field cannot be empty. When I place a numeric in the field(unquoted) I can save it and return to it and the numeric value is still there. If I enter a 'quoted string' I can save it but when I return to it, it is gone
    4. If I enter the same information using the eclipse IDE I can see the 'quoted string' is saved and when I view it (not edit but view) in the web IDE (sbconsole) I can see the 'quoted string'. If I edit it the string disappears.
    I will continue to test. While you may be correct and the intent is to accept only numerics, that does not make sense to me. Why not allow simple and fast conditional branching based on text string values in a message? I know I can use other mechanisms to achieve the same goal: a routing table would work also.
    My point was the behavior of the UI implies a bug.

  • When will Oracle 10g/11g support Windows Server 2008 and AIX6.1

    Hi all
    I'm sorry if I post it in a wrong place... But I really want to know when will Oracle 10g/11g support Windows Server 2008 and AIX 6.1?
    I've searched in metalink but found nothing useful. Is there anybody can give me a link of Oracle's roadmap for platform support?
    Thanks!

    Oracle does not announce release dates and neither
    does any other software company.But Oracle does have a very good track record of supporting their products on new windows releases extremely close to the windows release date. Clearly they can't support on an unreleased platform though. Given that the launch of Server 2008 isn't even complete worldwide yet (19th March in the UK for example) it would seem that this enquiry is a little premature.

    when is oracle 11g R2 will be available for downloading

    If you're talking about the database, it's available now.
    If you are talking about the next release of JDeveloper, Oracle hasn't (and generally doesn't) announced a date.

  • When will ART runtime be avaliable on Z1?

    Since it seems the majority of bugs were solved in 14.3.A.0.757 (at least for me), it's time to think in improvements now.
    I searched the forum I and saw that Sony removed ART runtime from Z1's Kitkat (and other phones' Kitkat).
    So when will Sony launch a version with ART runtime available for us?

    I'm sorry to say i don't have any information on when/if this will be added. As i understand it (https://source.android.com/devices/tech/dalvik/art.html), ART in Android 4.4 is still an experimental preview meant for app developers.

  • When will be avaliable EME CDM and DRM on Firefox

    Hello friends, I am here because I have a question for you
    Well first I need to say that I am from Mexico and I am Netflix member, obviously because Firefox does not supports DRM I can not play it, I have allready Chrome but this browser is TOO HEAVY but is the only with DRM support on Linux and it crashes my session when I try to open Ello when g+ is using a lot of resources or when I try to watch a YouTube video this is why I make the next question:
    When will released the new Firefox version with Encrypted Media Extension CDM and DRM?
    I really want to get it working on FIrefox

    By the way, you can disconnect Chrome from your Google account. That might help with the excess traffic.

  • How to Handle Multiple Thread in JAVA Callout with OSB 11g

    Hi Team,
    With My OSB 11g, I want create a static Thread when Java callout.
    Java code as below.
         private static Thread thread;
    static {
              * lazy load thread and with thread-safe ensure
              if(thread == null){

                        // Daemon thread, JVM level, Won't be interrupted, Safe!
                        thread.setDaemon(true);
                        thread.start();
    When this class was first called in OSB, the thread start run. while when I redeploy it, the old Thread is still running, if call the class again, it will create a new Thread. The two threads will run at the same time.
    Any body know how do configure it, so that there is only one static Thread in the Weblogic JVM.

  • OSB 11g Installation in production environment

    I am trying to install OSB 11g in production mode. But, the problem is its always pointing to the evaluation database, even though I don't require any DB (not using the reporting feature or OWSM). I saw the following workaround and it worked fine, but is it the only way?
    This error you will normally see if you use the built in pointbase db with production domains only.
    I would recommend you use different database in pointbase or better an oracle database. Work around would be to delete WL_LLR* from you point base and the domain will start with out problem.
    If you are not aware of how to delete the table in Pointbase/Derby, then other workaround (I normally use when using production domain with Derby/Poinbase) option would be to open config .xml and delete <jdbc-system-resource>
    <name>wlsbjmsrpDataSource</name>
    <target>AdminServer</target>
    <descriptor-file-name>jdbc/wlsbjmsrpDataSource-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
    </jdbc-system-resource>
    Even if i configure a different DB, but it still pointing me to Derby?
    Is this a bug with OSB 11g installation in a production env?
    Thanks,
    Bijoy

    Hello Bijoy,
    The evaluation database is provided for use by the sample applications and code examples. If you do not want to use evaluation DB then don't install it.
    To not install evaluation DB, while installing weblogic, select custom installation type, uncheck the "Evaluation Database" checkbox ("Server Examples" will automatically get unchecked) and proceed. Now your weblogic will be installed without an evaluation DB.

  • How to do service callout with the incoming JMS message in OSB 11g

    Hello All,
    I have a specific requirement for which I am creating a kind of POC where I need some help in OSB, however am new to OSB.
    My Environment:
    1> I have a request queue (deployed on a WLS domain) - WFReq_WS
    2> I have a response queue (deployed on a WLS domain) - WFRes_WS
    3> I have created a ProxyService (request/response type) in OSB 11g which is simply mapping the incoming message in WFReq_WS to WFRes_WS
    4> I have a WebService (it is currently a simple hello WebService for testing) which takes a string and returns the same string with an added 'Hi' in front of it (e.g. If you send Jack, it will return 'Hi Jack')
    My Requirement:
    1> I have to do some mechanism in OSB, by which while mapping the message from WFReq_WS to WFRes_WS (through the proxy service I have), it will pick the JMS message (which will be a string/text) and will make a service callout to the Webservice I mentioned using the message as the input parameter of the WebService.
    2>Now when the response of the WebService will come, OSB should send this response as the message in the response queue (WFRes_WS) I mentioned above.
    To simplify the requirement using an example:
    A> I will send a text/String message (say Jack) to the request queue (WFReq_WS)
    B> OSB should pick the message (Jack) and make a service callout to the webservice
    C> webservice will return 'Hi Jack'
    D> OSB should send this to the response queue (WFRes_WS)
    I know the above might look very basic question to the PROs, but please elaborate (step by step) what need to be done, since I do not know OSB.
    Thanks a lot for your help !

    Your example points A and D are easily done by having a "Proxy Service" which has the following details:
    Service Type = Messaging Service
    Request and Response type = Text
    Protocol = jms
    Endpoint URI = your request queue (format like 'jms://localhost:7013/weblogic.jms.XAConnectionFactory/QueueJNDIName')
    Checkmark "response" so that the proxy service automatically delivers the response to another queue - your response queue
    Response URI = jms://localhost:7013/weblogic.jms.XAConnectionFactory/QueueResponse
    Now since your "Hello" webservice is (probably) a SOAP xml service you need to "convert" your text based JMS message to xml before sending it on to the "Hello" service.
    Your JMS proxy can do that by just doing a "Assign <whom>{$body/text()}</whom>" to a variable (lets call it 'reqHello')
    Now your JMS proxy should actually call the Hello service and since your JMS proxy is text and the Hello service is SOAP you cannot just "pass" on to the Hello service in a "Route to". Instead you can do a Service Callout where you can specify your "reqHello" variable as payload and a "respHello" as response variable.
    Now you have the "<whom>Hi jack</whom>" in the response variable and since the JMS response needs to be text format you can "extract" the text value into the body variable of the JMS proxy (use "replace /* in body with $respHello/text()" - replace node contents)
    The actual Hello service is a simple "SOAP" based Proxy Service. Add a pipeline and add a stage in the reponse pipeline. Do a ...
    Assign fn:concat("Hi ",$body/whom/text()) to $whomVar
    Replace whom in body with $whomVar (replace node contents)

  • OSB 11g

    Hi,
    Could you please help me to get answer for the below queries.
    1. Is OSB 11g trial version is available for downlod? As I am working on OSB 10gr3, I am planning to upgrade it into OSB 11g.
    2. Is OSB 11g is part of Oracle fusion middleware?
    3. IS oracle ESB comes with Oracle fusion middleware. If not, from where can I download it.
    Thanks
    James

    Hi James,
    Unfortunately the relationship between OSB and SOA Suite is a bit confusing at the moment since SOA Suite refers to a software package (SOA Suite 11g) and a commercial offering (SOA Suite 11g plus OSB plus Complex Event Processing - this is what you buy), although later in the 11g cycle things will become much clearer. Let me answer your questions in turn:
    - OSB 11g is not yet available but when it is launched will be on the same level of WebLogic Server as SOA Suite 11g and have a native transport to allow you to call a SOA composite directly.
    - Yes, but I think the question you are really asking is "Is OSB 11g fully integrated into the SOA Suite 11g bundle?" The answer to this is "Not yet, but this will happen in a later SOA Suite 11g release when OSB will be available on the same version of WebLogic Server and will have Service Component Architecture (SCA) based JDeveloper tooling".
    - What was Oracle ESB in the 10g release has become the mediator cmponent within SOA composites in 11g. The strategic direction is for this mediator component to provide basic intra-composite transformation/routing and the OSB to provide more complex inter-composite/service virtualisation. Oracle ESB cannot be downloaded as a separate product - it is an intrinsic part of SOA Suite 11g.
    Hopefully that clears things up slightly - at least I hope so ;)
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Will OSB supports using schema definition at runtime ?

    Here is the SOAP response defined in the WSDL.
    <s:element name="XXRatesResponse">
         <s:complexType>
              <s:sequence>
                   <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="XXRatesResult">
                        <s:complexType>
                             <s:sequence>
                             <s:element ref="s:schema"/>
                             <s:any/>
                             </s:sequence>
                        </s:complexType>
                   </s:element>
              </s:sequence>
         </s:complexType>
    </s:element>
    This schema definition is working fine in SOAPUI. But when I try to create a Business Service using the WSDL in OSB 10gR3, it returns
    "*The invocation resulted in an error: Not Found.* "
    Our question is
    1. Will OSB supports runtime schema definitions?
    2. Any tweak can be done to support this?
    3. Will this is supported in 11g ?

    The invocation resulted in an error: Not Found. This error comes when Business Service is able to contact the destination server but not able to find the resources defined by the URL.
    Check the endpoint of the busienss service.
    Further, like Anuj mentioned, if you are able to create a Business Service out of the WSDL it means that the WSDL is validated and supported. The fact that you are getting an invocation error means that the Business Service is getting executed but not able to call the destination service.

  • Dynamic endpoints in SOA and OSB 11g

    Hi,
    In AIA we have aiaconfiguration properties.xml from where end points of wsdls will be accessible.
    This enables ease in migrations so that if endpoint changes it is only need to be changed in aiaconfiguration properties.xml.
    Can the same be acheived in SOA and OSB 11g projects?

    Hi Sowmya,
    Yes, it is very much possible in OSB 11g using customization (you may use it manually or programmitically). Please refer -

  • SOAP Header based user/password authentication in OSB 11g Proxy Service

    Hi,
    I have implemented SOAP Header based authentication in my OSB 11g Proxy Service.
    In the Security settings of my AnySOAP(Soap 1.1) HTTP Proxy service, I have amde the following changes:
    1.
    In Transport Access Control link, i selected the User predicate, and provided an user already existing on weblogic server with following roles(AppTesters, Monitors, Operators).
    The AuthorizationProvider was XACMLAuthorizer
    2.
    Under Custom Authentication, I selected the Custom User Name and Password option, and provided the below mentiioned xpaths
    User Name XPath: ./*/*:Username/text()
    User Password XPath: ./*/*:Password/text()
    3.
    In Message Access Control link, i selected the User predicate with the same user as mentioned in Transport Access Control link.
    Now, when I am testing this service from OSB Test Console, I am providing the following input.
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:N1="http://abcd.com/common/bodcomponents/transactional/model/1.0/">
    <soap:Header>
    <AuthHeader>
    <N1:Username>userXYZ</N1:Username>
    <N1:Password>passXYZ</N1:Password>
    </AuthHeader>
    </soap:Header>
    <soap:Body>
    <!-- body payload -->
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    The response is "The invocation resulted in an error: ."

    Please suggest where I am going wrong in this. I have cross checked the user/pass credentials with what I am giving in the input, and it is perfectly fine.

    I have added the Username and Password as follows, since the namespace declaration was required due to the namespace prefix 'N1' in the XPath
    declare namespace N1="http://abcd.com/common/bodcomponents/transactional/model/1.0/";./AuthHeader/N1:Username/text()
    declare namespace N1="http://abcdp.com/common/bodcomponents/transactional/model/1.0/";./AuthHeader/N1:Password/text()
    I have removed the Message Access Control conditions, have only kept Transport Access Control conditions.
    If i keep the condition in Transport Access Control as "Allow access to everyone", and test with proper credentials in the Username/Password tags in SOAP Header, then it works fine. However, if I try to give an incorrect password in the SOAP Header, it denies the access. So that means the XPaths given for Username/Password are working fine. The OSB logs show the below message
    +####<Feb 10, 2011 12:59:21 PM IST> <Error> <OSB Security> <test.abcd.co.in> <osb_server1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '7' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<anonymous>> <> <5a5769b8025ef997:-2bda316:12def49100a:-7fff-0000000000000ef2> <1297322961536> <BEA-386008> <Message level username/password authentication failed: [Security:090304]Authentication Failed: User weblogic javax.security.auth.login.FailedLoginException: [Security:090302]Authentication Failed: User weblogic denied>+
