When will Photoshop Elements 11 be released?

My 30 day trial of PSE10 runs out in 2 days. I am very happy with it and intend to purchase.
When does PSE11 come out? Is it better for me to wait?

dj_paige is right about what you need and what would be appropriate, but it will still be better for you to wait.
We're all guessing that PSE11 will be released this month. If you like PSE10, you can be assured that you will like PSE11 -- all the stuff in PSE10 is just about guaranteed to be there, as well as new features and bug fixes. You'll save money by only purchasing PSE11, rather than buying PSE10 and getting a discount price on PSE11.

i have just got my Nikon d3300 and now want to edit and clean my images , but cannot find any information about when photoshop elements 12 will be able to do this , any help people.

The soon-to-be-released Camera Raw 8.4 includes support for the D3300. It's only available as a beta for Photoshop CS6 and CC at the moment.

Will photoshop elements work with Encore or do I have to have the full Photoshop

I'm using Premier Pro and Encore Cs5.5. I do not create fancy menu's. At the most, I put a photo or two on a background of color and some text.
My work is on my Mac. I have photoshop elements on a windows PC in another room. I've been going between the two machines using photoshop elements on the PC to create the menu's and then sending them over to the mac for Encore use. Obviously, this is not optimal and I expect the PC to die any day now. Therefore, I thought I would buy Photoshop ELements for my Mac.
So, my question is "will photoshop elements" work ok on my Mac with Encore? Or, do I have to get the full blown Photoshop ? Advice?

For what you are doing, PSElements for Mac, should be fine.
Unless it has changed recently, when working with Menus in PSE, was the inability to CREATE a Button Layer Set. You can edit them, just not create one. If you are just modifying the Library Menus, and Buttons, there should not be an issue
Now, I believe that you will still not have the full functionality of Encore and PS, where you have the option to "Edit in Photoshop," right from Encore. What this does is create a TMP file, for the Menu, that is linked back to Encore, then launches PS, and Opens that linked TMP in PS, and when editing is done, one only has to Save in PS, and those changes follow the link back to update the Menu in En. You will have a slightly different workflow, where you would launch PSE, Open the Menu and edit it, then I would do a Save_As, so as to not overwrite the original, then in En, Delete that original, and Import the Save_As file as a Menu, and use that. It would be easiest to do all of the Menu editing in PSE first, then Import those as Menus into En, and just use them, as you would a Library Menu. Remember, you need to start off with a Menu, so that you have the Button Layer Sets, as you cannot create those. A bit different workflow, and not quite as convenient as Edit in Photoshop. As I do not have PSElements to test with, check me out that Encore will not link up to PSE and offer "Edit in Photoshop Elements," but it is my understanding that it will not. I just cannot verify. Also, check the latest version of PSE (you should be able to do this on the PC, while it runs) can now create the Buttons' Layer Sets. PSE 8 could not, and I do not believe that that function has been added to PSE 9.
Good luck, and with those exceptions, PSE 9 for the Mac should be just fine. You might want to wait a month, or so, as PSE 10 and PrE 10 should be released around the end of Sept., or the beginning of Oct., if history holds true. Do not know what will be in PSE 10, but maybe Layer Set creation?

I now am able to open the old catalog again!! I tried now several times with the new shortcut.

You suggest now I should click on the repair button. When I do so, the catalog will be overwritten, or I can choose not to overwrite and than the catalog will be twice as big. So I decided not to click on the repair button. When I see afterwards that some functions do not work anymore, I allways can use the repair button. As far as I can see now nothing is lost.. )
As far as I understood it is only possible to repair with a backup. Happily I made that allways, but I am afraid to use it, for the reason above.
When I have more time to spare, I will look for all the foto's from the apps of my cellphone and delete them.
Now I can finish my fotowork, what I had started before, and make Photoshop Elements again the main fotoprogram on my desktop.

When selecting the option e-mail from the Elements Organizer to share a picture, the program stops with a note from Elements Organizer stating they could not finish creating the e-mail message. I never experienced this problem when it was operating in my older computer running on Windows XP. Will Photoshop Elements 10 work with Windows 8.1?

Depends on what e-mail client you're using. I believe that for W8 you need to install the Windows 7 version of Windows Live Mail.

Will Photoshop Elements 10 work on 64-bit Windows XP?

I am currently running 64-bit Windows XP on my desktop PC and am interested in upgrading to the latest version of Photoshop Elements. I see in the system requirements for version 10 that it supports Windows XP Service Pack 3. Since Microsoft never released a 64-bit build of Windows XP Service Pack 3 (the last service pack available for 64-bit Windows XP being Service Pack 2), will Photoshop Elements 10 even install, let alone work, on 64-bit Windows XP?
Please DO NOT suggest that I upgrade my PC to a later version of Windows. I already have Windows 7 on my laptop, but I want to use Photoshop on my desktop PC.

Matthew25187 it should work ok on Windows XP 64-bit. The main issues for 64-bit are around drivers as long as your display driver has been functioning fine you should be ok.

Will the mac version of the organizer ever get watched folders? I am evaluating different photo management software programs, and I was hoping that PSE 12 would have this functionality for mac users. I have been a loyal user since PSE 4, but when I switched to a mac several years ago, the lack of a watched folders feature has caused real problems for me. Could it be referred to as the Sony ILCE-A7M2 - that appears in the table and requires Camera Raw 8.7.1
If that is the case, Photoshop Elements 13 (with updates) will import the raw files. When you plug in the card into the reader, it can be set up to launch the Elements downloader.

Once you have installed it, you need to go to the Help menu and select Updates to install the latest Camera Raw.

Ok I keep getting the error 16 when launching Photoshop elements 12, 1) It says to re-install (did that and did not work twice), there is also the Cache.db unlock (did that - not a solution either)... I need more information on what the problem could be ?

I suppose you are using the organizer : you'll be able to recover your PSE5 catalogs either by a catalog conversion on the same computer or by the backup / restore process.

Ralph9430 offers a good suggestion. But you may need to do this before taking his advice:
Check in iPhoto's Preferences (which you can open from the iPhoto menu). Look in General, and make sure "Connecting Camera Opens" is set to "Image Capture").
If it is set to "iPhoto", you won't be able to get to Image Capture easily.

PSE6 would install and work on windows 7 fine. There might be some issues where application interacts with OS, so you can expect some issues in OS dialog boxes that are opened in application like import dialog box.
