When will my Xperia T get the firmware update it needs?

I am currently running Jellybean 4.1.2 build number 9.1.A.0.489, complete with all its many annoying bugs such as:
Unusable Walkman app- will not skip to next track when the screen is locked
All speaker output is disabled after unplugging headphones, requiring a reboot to bring it back
Occasionally shutting down in the middle of the night while on charge, meaning my alarm doesn't get me up for work!
When I look on forums and the ultra shiny Sony website it seems there is a solution- Version 9.1.A.1.140 supposedly fixes these issues. My problem now is getting the damn update!!! I have tried using bridge for mac, and also the phones built in software update app but everything tells me my phone has the latest software WHICH I KNOW FOR A FACT IT DOESN'T!!!
What does Sony plan to do about this? Is there a known timeframe in which this problem will be sorted out? Or is the phone just going to be abandoned like my previous phone the Xperia Play was?

Mozilla will not be releasing a 64 bit Windows version of Firefox 4. They are creating 64 bit builds for testing purposes, but there will not be an official 64 bit Windows version until some time after Firefox 4 is released.

When will Sony release the new firmware 14.3.A.0.761?

I'm getting tired of my Xperia Z1 camera. It's super grainy and blurry. Superior Auto mode doesn't help. In Manual setting the ISO and Red-Eye Reduction option don't work. They are unclickable.
My Xperia SP works a very liiiiiiittle bit better in Manual settings > Resolution 2MP (4:3), Night Portrait scene, Flash OFF. But with the Xperia Z1, it seems like there's no other way or option to take even a single good picture.

Hopes Xperia Z1 and SP are not my last phones by Sony brand.

Here are some tips to effectively utilize your Z1 camera: (based on my personal experience)
1. Increasing ISO setting increases camera sensitivity w/c means lesser blur when taking moving subjects. Take note, you must get the right setting for this. ISO algorithm increases sharpness therefore more noise and grainy pictures if tweaked badly. It is best to set ISO setting to "AUTO" mode. This setting increases the chance of getting the right or acceptable ISO setting in Z1.
2. More chances of getting beautiful shots when Z1 recognizes the scene or environment. You will notice some icon under your viewfinder if Z1 successfully recognizes the scene. Some samples of this icons are flower for macro or closeup shots, a candle for low light conditions, mountain for landscapes etc. Do not take pictures when a man moving icon is displayed, this means the camera is not steady. Always enable the "image stabilizer" option for stabilty. Try moving the phone left or right or find a better place or angle to take pictures until it recognizes a scene. Remember Z1 only optimizes the scene when it does recognize it.
3. Do not use superior auto if you already know your scene. Sometimes superior auto fails to suggest the right SCN. For example you go outside of your house on a bright sunlight, you already know that it is sunny. Then superior auto indicates a face icon w/c means soft skin or face detection. This is not right, instead go to manual mode tap SCN and use HDR backlight correction, that setting is more suitable strong backlight scenes. Always use the SCN option in manual mode if the options available there fits your environment or scene. What if the scene you are taking does not included in SCN option in manual mode? Then it is time to use superior auto in these situation. If I'm not mistaken, superior auto uses the BIONZ processing algorithm w/c is optimized for up to 32 different SCN. Some of the optimized SCN included in the BIONZ processing algorithm are the low light SCN symbolizes the candle icon, flower icon for macro shots etc. These settings are not available in the SCN manual mode and can be used only in superior auto mode. Remember superior auto only uses 8MP not 20.7
4. Use superior auto in most low light conditions.
5. If you do not prefer using the manual SCN options. It is best to set the white balance options first before tweaking other options in manual mode. Set the right light condition for the right scene. Select the sun icon when shooting unser the sun, fluorescent icon in inside the house or under a fluorescent lamp, bulb if shooting in a bulb lighted environment etc and you'll be stunned and shocked with the Z1 camera capabilities.

yea but riddle me this, john everyman spends his had earnt 1k on his mac book (which he appreciates), is it so much to ask to be able to change the colour? seems like a fairly basic function in customising your OS to match your style. Dieter Rams (the designer) once said (paraphrasing) that the designer should leave as little a mark on the product being designed so that the consumer may make it his own. Now I can understand if you think the xp colours were lame, i agree, but I'd still rather have the decision. Personally I'm a big fan of change, I like changing the appearance of the things I live with constantly, I shuffle all the furniture around my room regularly. I used to own a windows pc with vista installed, and I changed the colour of the windows constantly. When someone picked up my laptop, they'd know it was mine and not theres, cos I left my mark on it.. With mac its just allll grey, i mean, mac picked one colour, sure it has to be bright and neutral, but grey is as dull as it gets, its like it has the aesthetic equivalent of concrete. Anyways, nice one with the new OS, now I can take bug eyed pictures of myself, but still have to put up with my concrete windows. for all those who enjoy the grey, I'm not asking them to remove it, In my imaginary dream world, a better place, where my mac is customizable and defineable by something other than the background (which despite best efforts is constantly swarmed with random files), grey will become classic grey, and all you fans of it can keep it on, and continue listening to self help tapes and pretending your not old and boring jk
anyways I want some blue today, and tomorrow, I could well want some yellow or who knows, one day I might go pink, but I want the choice! It's my right to a choice of colour, considering how much I paid for this laptop.
So if anyones withe me, on my crusade for Mac's OS's pigment freedom, then start makin a big deel out of it. I remember another OS which was grey, it was windows, a kajillion years ago, somewhere between discovering fire and inventing the wheel.

When will the Lumia Icon get the Denim Update?

The Denim Update will arrive for the Lumia Icon in early 2015. It just dropped today for Lumia 928 and Lumia 822: Verizon announces Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to Lumia 928, Lumia 822 | Windows Central.
But, Microsoft said at IFA 2014 that the Lumia Denim would "first be available on our flagship phones...Lumia ICON": Microsoft Nokia Lumia Live Event Part 1 - Lumia Denim, Lumia 830 IFA 2014 - YouTube . Not happy. Check the youtube video out at the time 7:48.
So it appears that Lumia Cyan was skipped as some of us speculated in the forums.
Meanwhile, although you can only buy the Lumia 928 at Verizon, since Verizon discontinued (yanked off the shelves with disgust by iPhone and Android executives hehehe, jk) the Lumia ICON, you can still buy the Lumia ICON at the Microsoft store free with contract: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Verizon---Nokia-Lumia-Icon/productID.306508100

At this point Verizon should just let Microsoft deliver firmware directly to Lumia ICON users, like Apple delivers firmware updates to iPhone users, without carrier approval since Verizon doesn't even sell the ICON anymore.
Very disappointed in Verizon and Microsoft.
I wonder if the preview for developers version will receive the Denim update on the ICON any sooner than "early 2015"...

I'm not thrilled about us Icon owners being last in line and waiting until 2015, but it's better than waiting for a Cyan update that will never come.

When will After Effects CS6 get a retina update?

I know there are people saying that After Effects works "fine" with retina, but they must not be as picky as me. After Effects is not at all fully compatible, at all. It's not even usable for me. The content viewer does not support retina resolution and is stretched to roughly twice the size that it should be. It's using Apple's percieved resolution and not actual resolution.
This makes the program completely unusable for me as it doesn't accurately represent what is being rendered.
When where there be a fix for this canvas problem?

I hate to throw water on your fire but AE is accurately displaying what would be seen for it's interpolated screen resolution with a retina display even with custom views, Photoshop, on the other hand, is showing you Actual Pixels so the image seems to be 1/2 the size as it would be displayed on a Retina display. I'd rather they fix Photoshop because it's way too hard to make pixel critical judgements in Photoshop at 100% scale than it is in AE on a Retina display.
I'd rather see how it would look on the display than the actual pixels because the pixel density is so high on a retina display that it's nearly impossible, without a magnifying glass, to see if you have artifacts in the edges. The image size of an element in your Comp on a retina display will be the same size as it is on a non retina display computer with the same apparent resolution. IOW a HD comp at 50% on a 15" Dell laptop will be the same size as a HD comp at 50% on a 15" MacBook Pro R.
This is why some web graphics look soft on a Retina display, They are scaled up approximately 200% when the website is not properly styled for high resolution displays.
The same things goes for movies played on a Retina displaya. You're not seeing actual pixels, you're seeing a denser pixel pattern which does give you a slightly better image. That's all I'm going to say about it.

When will South Africa be getting further stores in iTunes such as music?

I live in South Africa and as a standard, we only get iTunes U, Podcasts and the App Store. I would like to know if and when SA might be getting it's own iTunes store for music, TV Shows ect. It becomes incredibly frustrating when I want to look at music that I need to change my country to the USA in my account. This causes problems as I have to change it back when ever I wish to download an app for my iPhone.

This has more to do with those who own distribution rights for music that can be sold/distrubuted in South Africa.
