When will Sun begin to Support Games Dev?

As the title states, when will Sun start to seriously support games development. With 1.5, 1.6, 2.0???
Must improve the VM, for speed.
Will they ever add LWJGL to the API, with improvements of course?
I personally think Java is a great language and hope to develop many games and maybe one day stick it to M$ and their developers.

Not so much a question of running the game on any platform of one CD (although I think that might actually increase sales in that funny way that good ideas often do) but you certainly would gain from developers being able to use a single lot of code across many platforms.
I found this in a PC Zone article about the forthcoming Matrix game a couple of months ago:

Oracle does not announce release dates and neither
does any other software company.But Oracle does have a very good track record of supporting their products on new windows releases extremely close to the windows release date. Clearly they can't support on an unreleased platform though. Given that the launch of Server 2008 isn't even complete worldwide yet (19th March in the UK for example) it would seem that this enquiry is a little premature.

When will Lightroom and Elements support the Nikon D600? In the meantime is there a workaround so the D600 raw files can be exported to Lightroom or am I simply out of business until Adobe develops the needed patch?
As best as I have been able to figure out I may as well rebox the 600 and go back to my older, supported camera, until whenever.

A: What were you using before your precious D600 showed up today.
A D90 with good glass.
Nikon 70-200 f2.8, Nikon 24-70 f2.8, Voigtlander 58 f1.4, Tokina 11-16 f2.8.
Now I need to get a good FF wide solution for the D600.
Trigger on the D600 is much more stiff than my D90 so I'm having to press down a bit harder to get the AF confirmation. Just need to get used to that I guess.
FYI, JPG files right out of the camera are looking good.

I had been using Apple's Aperture and switched to Lightroom a couple of months ago. I thought the price was actually quite fair for the power of the LR software. I did have to updgrade my computer's RAM....

We did enjoy some vino last night! I was thinking I would possibly jump ship to Sony A99 and just switch to all Zeiss glass with autofocus, but I'm not convinced that the EVF is for me, and I'm really not a video shooter, mostly just landscape and real estate. Also, I the Sony turned out to be priced a bit too high for me personally in comparision to the D600.

Apple have not announced any dates for non-US rollout of Apple Pay as yet. They have to negotiate agreements with local banks and local branches of credit card companies in multiple countries, ensure they are in compliance with local laws and many other things before this can happen. It is going to take months at the very least I'd guess before you will see it even in major EU countries and longer for places like Asia and the Middle East. It will probably be rolled out in stages over the next year or two (or more) until most of the world has Apple Pay available.
It took 2+ years after its US debut for iTunes Music Store to spread to many other nations, and the video store was about 12-18 months plus as I recall. Apple Pay probably makes those negotiations look simple in comparison.

When will Sun release a PKCS10 class or classes to support CSR gen?

Sun already has all the classes needed to support creating a Certificate Signing Request, but most are buried in the sun.security package and only available by using the keytool tool. It is obvious from the many posts to this forum that we need access to classes that will support creating a CSR, in the java.security package, and not in the proprietary sun.security package. In many environments it is not acceptable to exec keytool from within an application to get this functionality. I don't want to use bouncycastle or any other provider.
So when is Sun going to make classes available that support PKCS10 and CSR generation?

When will the PS3 fully support the PS4 controller?

The PS4 controller is recognized by Steam as a PS4 controller, but when connected to the PS3 it's recognized as a common "wireless controller"...how come? The controller doesn't vibrate and the PS button won't work (cable or wireless doesn't matter, it's the same) Aren't you going to fix this already?

HT4757 When will Apple iPhoto/Aperture support the new Leica V-Lux 4 camera RAW format ?

I just bought a Leica Vlux-4 and found that the current verisons of Aperture and iPhoto do not reconize the RAW files like they do for earlier versions and all of the Canon & Nikon DSLR's. I see from the support doc that Apple supports the Vlux-1 and 2, so when will RAW support be added for the Vlux-4 ?
I dont want to move to Lightroom but it already supports the Vlux-4 camera !

while this all may be true,
it is all speculation, and we are not supposed to speculate here; Apple does not publish the reasons for missing raw support, and for the Vlux-4 it is early days yet. There may very well be a raw update including your camera soon.The only difference I see, is that the the Vlux-1 & 2 did not come with Lightroom included, only with PSE, and the support stopped, when Lightroom was included - the direct competition to Aperture.

When will Microsoft be releasing updates to the SSIS Attunity Connector for Oracle, to support SQL Server 2014?

I have multiple clients holding off on SQL Server 2014 upgrades until this issue is resolved.

I think you are muddying the issue. Attunity themselves have not produced the last 2 versions of these components - they have been distributed by Microsoft e.g. the first link from my initial question.
The Attunity Development Manager has already posted a response on their own forum to a similar question stating that "The decision and timeframe in which the connectors will be released for SQL Server 2014 are at Microsoft's discretion and cannot provide
more information at this time."

When will aperture provide RAW support for Olympus EM-5

I have the new Olympus OM-D EM-5 and I cannot get Aperture to read the RAW files....when will a software upgrade be availble?

If the camera is not listed here Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats
then Aperture does not support it as this time.
When it will be supported no one here can say, we're all just users here like you. Apple never releases this information before hand.
You can let them know you want the camera supported by going to Aperture->Provide Aperture Feedback.

When will Elements and Lightroom support the RAW files from the Olympus em5 Mark 2 camera?

Camera was launched in Feb 15. As far as I understand, neither product will open the RAW files for some months. When will that be, does anyone know?

Adobe Camera Raw gets updated three or four times per year in an orderly fashion.
Beyond that, Adobe does not comment on unreleased software.
It should not take over nine (9) months, but it could be as early as at the time of the next orderly release

When will Dutch be a supported language in Siri?

Do you have any idea when Dutch will be available as one of the language options in Siri?
It's important for me to know, because I'm not going to buy an iPhone 4S if Siri doesn't come in Dutch or will come with Dutch after a few months.
Siri looks like such a great feature, but it's completely useless for people living in countries where they don't talk one of the possible languages.

since siri got on the iPhone iT had its impact.
and it was/is a big plus for sales, good reason to get a iphone.
Now almost 4 years later people in Holland still don't have Dutch Siri support.
The main thing is that other phones in holland use a resembling technology.
And they do support Dutch.
i Manage to use Siri and I do love all the features that Siri can do.
But hAndsfree calling you cNt cause it can't understand dutch names.
siri compared to other virtual assistants is useless And only a gimmic.
We the dutch speaking community are feeling left out. Is the dutch speaking community not big enough. Is there no profizzz to be made ?
I Heard rumors, even from guys working at an Apple Store that siri would get here eventually in such.
JUst tell us if it will . Or Apple decides we are out of the game..
