When will the Camera Raw Support Cannon G7X?

When it is. Adobe never makes those kinds of announcements in advance.

  • When will Lightroom/Camera Raw support the Canon G15?

    Hi,
I just got a Canon G15 and I can't use the RAW files. I'd like to know if there's a roadmap for supporting the CR2 files for Canon G15 and if there's anything I can do besides wait for an update.
Please don't suggest the Canon imaging software, saving as JPEG or other workarounds, if I'd wanted to use that, I wouldn't be here.
    Thanks,

The point of having to adapt to each camera itself is baffling to me. Don't these guys have a standard file format, or something? How on Earth can you change the file format from one camera to another?
But that's another matter entirely. Thanks for the straight answer, I'll keep shooting my old 40d in the meantime, and make sure I buy only old, preferably second hand cameras, that are certainly supported.

  • Can I upgrade the Camera Raw support in PSE 11 to version 8.3 or 8.4, so it supports my Nikon D5300?

I just upgraded my camera - and the Camera Raw support in PSE 11 is not able to support it.  Can I upgrade the Camera Raw plugin, or is Adobe going to force me to buy an upgrade to PSE 12 or another of their products?

You'd better complain to Nikon... Just like other camera manufacturers who issue new raw formats for each and every new camera. Adobe and all other software companies have to reverse engineer each new format. Those manufacturers could use the open and public DNG format (a few do).
Adobe answer to that problem is to provide a free software, the DNGconverter which can batch convert a folder of raw files to the universal DNG raw format which your old Elements version can read.

  • When will the Camera plug-in be updated for the Canon 70D for Elements 9?

When will the Camera plug-in be updated for the Canon 70D for Elements 9

    Hi,
There hasn't been an update for PSE 9 since Sept 2011 so it is unlikely to ever be updated for the 70D.
    Your options are
    1) Upgrade PSE 12 when it comes out (probably soon)
    2) Use the Canon software (DPP) that came with your camera - convert to TIF files and import those into PSE
    3) Download/Install the free Adobe DNG 8.2RC Converter to convert your CR2 files to DNG files - the DNG files can then be processed by PSE 9

  • When will Aperture provide RAW support for the Nikon D4s?

Just got my D4s and can't work with the RAW files in Aperture 3 ... It says 'incompatible file format'...

Wait and see, the currently available raw support is here.
    http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html
    iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
But even, when the raw supoort for your new camera will have been released, it will probably only be available for you, if you upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and at least Aperture 3.4.5. The most recent Digital Camera Raw Support releases have all been released for these versions only:  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1734
Give Apple a little time to do a decent job with the raw support. Your new camera is particularly challenging with the high ISO sensor and the excellent low light sensitivity (ISO 409,600). You will want that the raw support can deal with these new features properly. Last year we have seen quite a few threads with complaints about strange blueish or pink colors on raw images taken in low light for new Nikon and Canon cameras.

  • Does anyone know when there will be Camera Raw Support in Lightroom 3 for the Olympus E-PL2?

Just bought the Olympus E-PL2, shot some test shots and came home to open my RAW files to view them and discovered that they won't open in lightroom because the .ORF files for the E-PL@ are not supported. I figured since the E-PL1 was supported this would be too. There are some minor differences between the two like base ISO, etc. I am new to RAW and notices that E-PL1 users experienced the same thing when it first came out. How long does it usually take for Adobe to get new cameras compatible with Camera Raw? The camera is very popular and I imagine people will want to use the program to process their files. Will that speed up Adobe's process? And in the mean time, does anyone have any suggestions on what program I can use to open my .ORF raw files?
    Thank you in advance,
    Anthony

It isn't a plug in. It is a tool that allows you to read and write to the Exif data. See the web site for how to use
Keep a copy of your original files. It doesn't cause any problems changing the camera maker name.Usually this is the only thing that has actually changed between each version of the same camera in the RAW file. However until this has been checked by ADobe and they have created a specific colour calibration it Adobe don't support the format. This does not prevent you hacking the format as long as you understand what you are doing and that you keep original copies to import once Adobe support it
If manufacturers used DNG there would be no problems, but until they do you may have to wait for up to three months for Adobe support. However Adobe do usually issue a RC of the next version of LR and ACR before the full update, that may be any time now. Certainly there is a beta version that includes support for this camera as it has been used by reviewers

  • When will Adobe Camera Raw recognize the Canon 6D RAW files?

Does anyone know when Canon 6D will be added to the list of cameras that ACR recognizes the RAW files?

Hopefully ACR 7.3 (Main Release), if not ACR 7.4 (RC - Release Candidate/ Beta) should support EOS 6D.
You can stay tuned to any updates from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ on availability of new Camera Raw versions.

  • When will a camera raw plugin beavailable for the Nikon D810

I recently purchased a Nikon D810 but can not see the images when I download them to either Lightroom or Photoshop.  I am told I need a new plug-in. When will onebe available?

    Check out this:
Re: Lightroom 5 and Nikon D810
There is a solution. Just install camera raw 8.6 to get support in Photoshop. Use dng converter 8.6 to convert the nef files to dng and import those in Lightroom if you want to use Lightroom to edit the raw files. It doesn't support the small "raw" files that the D810 generates but those are a complete and utter joke anyway and nobody should be using those, not even to save space.
    >Update: I've just counted: there are 22 separate threads started in the last week asking why LR doesn't support the D810 and when will it be updated!
That must be a record. I don't think I have ever seen it as bad as with this camera. It must be incredibly popular or perhaps the change in the forum software is making it hard for people to peer down a few lines to see what has been posted already (I am being generous ;-) )

  • When will aperture provide RAW support for Olympus EM-5

I have the new Olympus OM-D EM-5 and I cannot get Aperture to read the RAW files....when will a software upgrade be availble?

If the camera is not listed here Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats
then Aperture does not support it as this time.
When it will be supported no one here can say, we're all just users here like you. Apple never releases this information before hand.
You can let them know you want the camera supported by going to Aperture->Provide Aperture Feedback.

  • When will adobe camera RAW be available to work with Pentax K-3 in elements 11?

Hi - I am running Photoshop Elements 11 and shooting with a Pentax K-3.
When in college I am able to open the PEF files and make adjustments in Adobe Camera RAW, however, when I am using elements 11 at home I get a message saying that my Camera is not supported.
Obviously I would like to be able to make some adjustments outside of college to speed things up a little.
I don't really want to go to the pay monthly Photoshop as I already have Elements11 and Lightroom!
Is there any other way that I can get camera raw? I have the Pentax Silkipix software but it's not as user friendly as Camera raw.
Is Adobe camera raw available to buy as stand alone software? Are there any plans to support k-3 PEF raw files in elements any time soon?
    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi,
To read the PEF files from the K-3 you need camera raw 8.3 but that is not compatible with PSE 11.
You would either need to upgrade to a later version of PSE or download the Adobe DNG converter. You can then convert the PEF files to DNG files and the DNG files could then be edited by PSE 11.
It looks as though the K-3 can be set to save the images in DNG format. Have you tried switching to that format? The files should then be able to be read by both systems.

  • When will a Camera Raw new version become available  for CS5 and Nikon D800 images ??  Any clues?

I understand that I have presently  an option to download the Beta version ACR 6.7  and it expires by May 31st.
Does this mean that a new ACR version will become available for regular automatic update on or before that date?
I just want to know when will I be able to enjoy processing  the images from the new Nikon D800   I hace CS5

I would expect Adobe to support the current version of LR with the current version of PS as usual.
Last time it was the opposite, but this time, LR4 with PV2012 came out, first, when CS5/ACR6.x was the current version so I would expect Adobe to release a final CS5-compatible ACR that knows how to render, but not adjust PV2012 recipes from LR4.  This is what ACR 6.7RC attempts to do but with some luminance differences with certain PV2012 toning sliders near their extremes.    Adobe rushed things a bit, this time, due to the D800 and 5D.3 cameras coming out about the same time and wanting to make big spenders happy sooner rather than later, so I expect they are taking extra time to get things right in the released versions of ACR 6.7, ACR 7 and LR 4.1.  With CS6 also coming out, and the economy still on the rocks in many areas of the world and country, resources are stretched thing, but I expect all will resolve in time.
