I was in NYC a week ago and it wasn't available yet. Do you guys have any news about it?

We are NOT Apple. We have no way of knowing since Apple has not made a public statement regarding availability. Ask them at the store.

    That's a cop out answer.  I know it's not compatable, there's no driver!  There's no excuse for not providing an updated driver for Windows 8.  There is NOTHING about windows 8 that is so different from Windows 7 that Canon cannot easily delelop a driver for it. If I am forced to buy a new printer because you won't provide a driver for my ip 1500 it wont be a Canon.

    Nokia did not announce anything about availability. Philippine phones are country variant units, and Philippine availability for firmware is usually 3-4 months late, not to mention that certain country variant models skip entire firmware updates (A turkish variant did not receive v40 but skipped right to v50).

    i searched in the UK store and the Australian store and the option for the unlocked iPhone 6 is available but the devices itself is not yet but the taxes are much higher and the phone is much more expensive from the U.S store

    No one knows that at this point.  In the recent past, the unlocked iPhones started out as only available in the retail Apple stores and not by on-line order.  When they will be available or how has not been announced so far.
    Keep in mind that purchasing an iPhone in another country is not a great idea since the warranty is only valid in the country of sale so if anything would go wrong there would be no service or support in another country.
