When will the MacBook Retina Display shell case come?

I am going on a trip and I need a protection case to keep my laptop safe. I recently bought a MacBook Pro with Retina Display and I have not heard anything from Apple about the cases. When will the cases be out in the U.S?

I went to the Apple Store today and talked to the manager. He said he does not know, because the only indication of when is WHEN it arrives. Could be tomorrow (unlikely). Could be ten days. I tend to believe him because he has been right in the past. Just ask the store roughly when deliveries are made each day. Then call around that time.

No one here would know - we're users just like you. We'll know when new MacBook Pros are coming out when Apple announces them and we'll know when Mavericks is coming out when Apple announces its availability.

I don't think anyone here would have the answer to that question. We haven't even gotten an official launch date in the USA.
There are no Apple employees here, so any speculation about a specific date, not announced by Apple, would be against the rules for this community.

When will the MacBook Pro be updated (Quad core coming soon?)

Hey! Just a quick question. I've been hearing rumours everywhere that a quad core MacBook Pro is on the way. Apparently Apple Genius' are now being trained on new MacBook Pros and there's been other rumours floating around.
Just wanted to know if anyone had any extra information as I think the MacBook Pro's are so sexy and I really want one, but should I wait? Quad Core sounds good!

Sorry, but no one outside of Apple knows anything reliable about future product releases. Anything anyone here would post would be pure speculation which isn't allowed here (the Discussions are for technical support on existing products). Whether any rumors the various sites report have any validity, your guess will be as good as ours.
And just for future use, questions about the MacBook Pro will best be posted in the forum for that model rather than here in the iMac area.

Apple has not announced any new iPod models, and until they do none of us here, who are all fellow users, will have any idea. In the past, any new models of the iPod touch were announced in the fall, but whether Apple will continue this pattern or indeed if they have plans for any future new iPod touch models at all is unknown. We'll just have to wait and see.

I have been with 6220c 2 weeks and with first firmware.
I want to upgrade my firmware but,somewhat nokia DOESNT support 6220c on NSU. I can't upgrade trough OTA because I dont have data plan.
Do you know when it will come back? It's 3 weeks since it doesnt support 6220c.

nobody can tell you for sure when will support be restored, but nokia was never late with restoring support to devices once issues that lead to their removal were fixed.

When will the new Retina Macbook Pro be available in stores?

I thought that it should be released tomorrow since it's available today online, but I was mistaken. You think Apple would have their stock built up in stores for release the next day. Does anyone know when it will be available? The store rep. near me said 2-3 weeks and I don't want to believe it could be that long. Any thoughts?

Has there been any updates for CS5 and the MacBook Retina displays? Everything still looks pixelated.

I keep getting errors when trying to update it.

here are the older version updates, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/, but it's not likely that adobe will work on making older versions work with new os'es.

I had a nice little Augmented Reality App working with the Adobe Flash Player 11 beta. I used the stage.stage3Ds[0].transparent=true; property. But since the Adobe Flash Player 11 RC1 this feature is no longe available. Adobe said that it will come back soon. Does somybody have any news when?
It is really anoying that I can't use my Application anymore.
Please Adobe, bring that function back!

we try to keep with a 3 month release cycle for each project. as for stage3d for mobile, there is work to be done but should be in the pipeline. no other information about it's schedule is available. it's pretty thin on specifics, but i hope it gives you a general idea...

i hate this board now!
1. it randomly freezes in Counter-Strike when using OpenGL acc.
but running other games perfectly.
2. the AGP/PCI lock need hacks to work.
3. cant past 231FSB when overclocking. If higher than 231FSB,it just cant boot!
though u can get stable in windows,but once poweroff,it never boot until u clear the cmos setting.
4. poor 3d performance when runnig a nVidia card.
5. it reads higher temps! when running my newcastle 3200+ with the stock heatsink, idle 65 degrees , and fullload 78+ degrees. But actually, the heatsink is not so hot.
6. Poor Little heatsink on NorthBridge.

Your nVidia card should actually run better than a Radeon, paired with the nForce 3 250 GB chipset.
Temp reading on Newcastle core CPU's is a know issue, but basically it's just being mid-read. This is AMD's fault, not MSI's.
NB heatsinks can be replaced. Think yourself lucky you don't use an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer on your GFX card.

Yes - I have a 2012 MacBook Air and it works with a dual-link dvi adaptor only otherwise you'll end up with a lower resolution.
Took a while to work out, but works very well. It's also expensive
The Hdmi only supports 1080 and not the full 2560 x 1080. The other cables are useless.
It also works on windows 8 using boot amp

if you're not in a big rush - why not hold off until Adobe and Microsoft releases an update to support the Retina Screen.
Don't get me wrong - the Macbook Retina is a good and videos look great - but when it comes to Photoshop, it's a little blurry and the fonts in Excel and Word is pretty blurry too.....I own one....
In any event, if it's something you can live with - then by all means - go for it.....
Otherwise - get the non Retina Macbook Pro - it's cheaper, and it's user upgradeable in both RAM and Hard Drive.

The HTC hotspot works fine with everything else I connect to it.
Also - ipad will not connect to my HTC via bluetooth. Again, I can connect to everything else with my HTC other than my ipad.
I have to say this is my first venture into Apple products and I have always wanted to get away from my windows based laptop to get a MacBook, the problems I have had (flash player etc) & continue to have (as above) are putting me right off swapping over. I HATE technology that doesn't work and my ipad has been hard work!

I stated my ipad as being an ipad2, but I now think it is a 3??? It was new Jan this year and is the 64gb retina display version.
I really would like to get to the bottom on this problem wit mobile hotspots as it is sitting on my desk next to me now and I cannot get it to connect to my HTC mobile hotspot!!!! It might be taking a flying lesson soon at this rate!!! Grrrrrrr...........
