When will the next batch of iphone5 hit the stores?

I don't want to order with the hopes of getting one before November if I can just walk in a store and buy one in a week. I am hoping to have mine before the end of October but if I order it now it doesn't say it will ship till oct 30th

Here's a thought (assuming you're in the U.S.):
You can order the iPhone 5 from Apple's website.  When you do so, its status will show up as "Processing Items".  As long as it's in that status, you can cencel your order online.
Once it gets close to shipping, the online order's status changes to "Preparing for Shipment".  At that time, you can no longer cancel it online, but then it's going to be almost ready to ship.  And, if worse comes to worse, you can still cancel or exchange by phone or in person, but it's a bit more trouble.
Meanwhile, while in the "Processing Items" stage, you can check out the stores.

  • Iphone plan/costs and when will the stores have them?

    Actually have 2 quesitons...
One, when will the Iphone 5 be at Verizon stores?  Seems silly to order online and have it delivered the beginning of next month if it's going to be in the stores by then and you can buy it right then and there.
Two, I'm trying to figure out how much more my bill will be.  I currently have [with Verizon] 3 basic phones on a share plan.  This costs me about $115 (give or take $2) every month.  I only want to get 1 Iphone and keep the other 2 as basic phones.  Does that mean that my bill will only increase by $40 for the Iphone data or will it increase by $100 - $40 for the Iphone and $30 for each basic?  The 2 basic phones will not be using texts/emails/internet, they're strictly for phone calls.  That's why I can't figure out if I'm still going to have to pay an extra $30 for each of these when their usage is not going to change from what I've been paying for.
    Thanks.

It depends what your current plan is. Family Share, or the new Share Everything plan?
If it is the Family Share plan, I will assume that you do not have any data plans on your basic phones. If you replace 1 of the basic phones with an iPhone but keep your current plan, your bill will increase only by the price of the tiered data which start at $30 for 2GB/month. There are other tiers for more data which cost additional, though. Depends on which tier you choose to take. So your increase would be $30(or more for a higher data tier) + taxes.
If you are currently on the new Share Everything plan, the access fee for the line with the iPhone will increase to $40(smartphone access fee) from $30(basic phone access fee). You may also want to add more data to your shared data pool since you are moving from strictly basic phones to 1 line with a smartphone. So your increase would be $10 + any additional data cost + taxes.

  • When will the stores have business workshops after the 5pm timeframe, for those that work can go to them?

When will apple stores have business/productivity workshops after the 5pm time weekdays for those that work?

You would need to talk to the store managers about that; we're just fellow users here. I would guess that they schedule workshops during the day when traffic is lighter so as to not impact and be impacted by evening retail traffice.

  • When will the next ISO be released?

When will the next Arch ISO (based on 2.6.21) be released?
The kernel in the 0.8 ISO (2.6.20.4 IIRC) has a problem with the nForce chipset in my laptop, therefore I have to use the 0.7.2 ISO, which is pretty outdated.

Weeks wrote:Yes, but once you've installed the 7.2 CD you can ugrade (using pacman) to 8.0. So there's no need for a new ISO
I know, but I reinstall all the time, and since a native driver for my sucky Broadcom network card don't exist, I can't do an FTP install. And I have a really slow internet connection, so upgrading packages takes a while.

Hi - I am writing some GUI based code and plan to release towards the end of the year. I imagine that a new FF ESR will be available by then. When will the new version of FF ESR be available so I can try and ensure that we test our GUIs using it? Thanks in advance!

3rd strike coming up I'd say. Pretty well guaranteed especially with Windows 8 as well on top of it. The 530 release has not been smooth for some reason. I'd say good luck but I'd hazard a guess it will be bad. Oh well you're one of the few pushing the envelope.

  • Job running, when will the next scheduled one start?

    Hi all,
When I schedule a job every 3 minutes and the previous one has not finished, when will the next run start?
Is it immidiatly after the previous run ends? Or at a given time? (f.e.: 6.30 -> run 6.33 -> skiped because the 6.30 job is still running 6.36 -> last job has stopped so it's oké to start this one) Or at the initial 3 minute interval counting since the last job ended? (f.e.: 6.30 -> run, job ends at 6.34, next job at 6.37)
    Thanx...

I know this has been answered better somewhere in this forum but I can't find it right now so here is a quick answer to your questions.
Assumption: You have set the scheduler to run a job every 3 minutes starting at 6:30 today.
The scheduler uses that information to determine that the job should run at 6:30, 6:33, 6:36, 6:39, etc. The Scheduler will only have one running occurrence of your job so you do not have to worry about it running concurrently. If the first run at 6:30 takes 4 minutes, when it finishes at 6:34, the Scheduler will immediately start up the 6:33 scheduled job and have it run. If instead, the first run at 6:30 takes 7 minutes, the Scheduler will skip the 6:33 run and run the 6:36 schedule instead.
You can also say that if a job is "x" time units late, do not run it. This can be done via the schedule_limit attribute, set via DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_ATTRIBUTE. For the example, you could set it to 2 minutes and if the first run takes 5 minutes, the 6:33 run will be skipped and the Scheduler will wait till 6:36 to run the next occurrence.

  • ACE30: When will the next software version be released in the A5(2.*) train

    Hi Guys,
Looking through the release notes for A5(2.1) I noticed that there are a number of open caveats which indicate that the bug has been fixed in a version that is not available as yet on CCO.  Example:
•CSCuc04894—The ACE reloads without generating the core file and displays the crash reason as "Unhandled kernel unaligned access or invalid instruction". Workaround: None.
    Fixed in: 3.0(0)A5(2.1.5)
    or
•CSCub43983—The ACE CP is not reachable on the network which affects all ARP entries and results in the ACE losing all routes. This problem affects the traffic through the ACE and the applications running at the backend which happens when the communication between the internal ACE components (CP and NP) is blocked because of the VERNI FPGA interface. Workaround: None.
    Fixed in: 3.0(0)A5(2.1.40)
When will the next version (which presumably has a fix for the ones above) be available?
Also can I confirm that a bug with a status of "Terminated" is not going to be worked on?
    thanks
    Sheldon

    Hello Sheldon,
Both of the software defects you mentioned will be fixed in A5(2.2).
A5(2.2) is due out tentatively in March 2013.

    It won't have USB printing.
It's up to the printer manufacturer to make their device drivers AirPrint capable.

  • When will the iPhone 4s be released in Thailand

When will the iPhone 4s become available in Thailand. There's news that they'll be released in India by the end of this week (well the pre-orders anyway). no word from Apple yet on the next batch of countries. Does anyone know? Or know when Apple will announce the next batch of countries for the new iPhone?

And here I thought there might be some undercover Apple agents here

  • When will the I phone 5s will be delivered again at the beginning of october or at the end?

My question is when will the I phone 5 s be delivered again at the begging of october o
    r at the end?

As to your specific question, it is what you've heard here already - no one can really know.
Historically, it takes some time for the initial demand to ramp down and availability to improve.
It could easily be another month or more, or you could find one next week. Just really
    impossible to know.
