When will the problems end?????

I am so not happy right now. I sent my original BB Curve 8520 that I got in Feb this year, in for repair in April. Could not be fixed so got a new hand set middle of April, also curve 8520. This particular hand set is now in repair for the 3rd time. I think it's been in for 6 weeks in total being in and out..... I think I deserve a newer hand set....

With prior BBs, they sent out "shortcuts" that could be easily hidden or moved to a "junk" folder, and took up truly minimal space on the BB. With BB10, they seem to be pushing out full apps for some of this, and they indeed re-push if you delete them.
But, the solution is the same...either use an empty Homescreen pane or create a folder (I call mine "junk") and move all of these things there. That way, they will be out of your way and won't cause a re-push to your device again.
Fortunately, the Z10 has lots of memory...but of course there is no such thing as infinite. Hopefully this will be addressed in future OS releases. For now, at least the annoyance can be abated.
Good luck!

  • When will the problem of Window Media Player Plug-in for every upgrade be ever resoled? It's getting VERY IRRITATING with every upgrade. Thank you.

With every upgrade, be it 3 or 4 and even the coming 5, many videos will hang that requires the Windows Media Player Firefox Plug-in or the LATEST Adobe Flash Player. Most plug-ins are compatible BUT not these two. Otherwise things will go smoothly.
    Thank you.

    1. Plugins aren't Mozilla's responsibility. Microsoft is responsible for the WMP plugin, which doesn't look like it is even installed in the Firefox you posted here with. You don't have the latest version of Adobe Flash AFAIK, but that is Adobe's responsibility, not Mozilla's.
    2. As far as Firefox version numbering, Firefox 4.o0 hasn't even been released yet and not even a tentative release date has been mentioned for Firefox 5.0.
Quite honestly, WMP isn't usually that big of a problem, but Flash is very problematic - enough that Steve Jobs has it banned from iOS which runs the iPhone, iPad, and deluxe iPod (whatever it's called). HTML5 is probably going to eliminate the need for the Flash Player in a few years; good riddance to bad rubbish, IMO.

  • When will the flickering end?

Obviously this is a known problem that many are still dealing with since the launch of Yosemite.
Is there any hope of a fix?
    Is this covered under AppleCare?
A recall on the video card?
    What's the deal already?
    My info:
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
    2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
    8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
    PLEASE HELP !!!

    See Apple's exchange & replacement programs…
    https://www.apple.com/support/exchange_repair/
I see no mention of iMacs and since it is almost 4 years old I doubt you have Applecare cover on it - check your product…
    https://getsupport.apple.com/ProductSelector.action
I'd suggest you consider restoring to an earlier OS if this flickering is intolerable, but you give so litte detail it is impossible to say if that is the best solution.
Search here to see if it is widespread, others would have reported it or complained here.

  • When will the Non-Admin problem be fixed?????

When will the problem of non-admin accounts not able to see all flash content on
    web pages be addressed???

in addition to poor open GL performance, i've also had problems with any program utilizing antialiasing support. i recently sat down and called apple and had a discussion with their support line. while i didn't mention the poor open GL performance, i did mention the graphical errors i was experiencing with my MBP. i was told these issues are not normal, and have a replacment on the way. while these issues are some what numerous, i've not been able to find much more than a few articles or discussions on the topic. i'm hoping this means it is contained to a few MBPs and not all. we'll see when the replacment comes. if not, however, i'd consider a class action suit. the machine i bought was sold as a portable gaming machine, (apple.com/games/hardware) and thats not what i've gotten. i am very disappointed that apple has not even acknowledged the issue to let us know some fix is in the works. if enough of us make a big enough noise about it, perhaps we can get some sort of reply. i'd recommend you sending a note to apple as mentioned, then take some time to sit and give apple a call. they are very interested in listening to you, don't feel silly about calling about game perfromance, they are advertising these machines as such.
    cheers

  • When will the I phone 5s will be delivered again at the beginning of october or at the end?

My question is when will the I phone 5 s be delivered again at the begging of october o
    r at the end?

As to your specific question, it is what you've heard here already - no one can really know.
Historically, it takes some time for the initial demand to ramp down and availability to improve.
It could easily be another month or more, or you could find one next week. Just really
    impossible to know.

  • When does the program ends

To give you the short answer, the last line of your
main method. If you want the long version as to why,
mail me and I'll explain :-)I'm guessing that the short version of the long version will be "Halting Problem"... :-)

  • When will the next ISO be released?

When will the next Arch ISO (based on 2.6.21) be released?
The kernel in the 0.8 ISO (2.6.20.4 IIRC) has a problem with the nForce chipset in my laptop, therefore I have to use the 0.7.2 ISO, which is pretty outdated.

Weeks wrote:Yes, but once you've installed the 7.2 CD you can ugrade (using pacman) to 8.0. So there's no need for a new ISO
I know, but I reinstall all the time, and since a native driver for my sucky Broadcom network card don't exist, I can't do an FTP install. And I have a really slow internet connection, so upgrading packages takes a while.

  • When will the next ESR release be available?

Hi - I am writing some GUI based code and plan to release towards the end of the year. I imagine that a new FF ESR will be available by then. When will the new version of FF ESR be available so I can try and ensure that we test our GUIs using it? Thanks in advance!
    F

hello Dubrovsky, the next major ESR version will be firefox 31, which is going to be released on july 22nd. automatic updates for ESR users on the current 24-brach to 31 will be starting mid-october.
so you should test the code against firefox 31, which is currently in the nightly stadium: nightly.mozilla.org

  • When will the maps bug in IOS6 be fixed?

When will the maps bug in IOS6 be fixed?

    richard0801 wrote:
Thats not where they are thats where Apple think they are, try coming out of Victoria walking straight across the road and you are in ?????   god knows where on apple but its not where you acually are, I have tried it and its total crap. By the way there are 2 Hammersmith underground stations. Your map just shows 1 pin
You explicity claimed that "all 400 stations are missing" in Apple Maps. I only needed to locate one to prove you wrong. Instead, I proved you doubly wrong. I didn't realize I needed to prove you triply-wrong. Oh well...
Naming subway stops is not Apple's responsibility and obviously not London's strenths. The pin shows the general location of "hammersmith".
Okay I am in Holloway road, where is the nearest station to me?, if I don't know the name I cant find the station.  I know there are 6 but Apple does not show any of them
When I enter "holloway road london", I get a bunch of pins and the first one that automatically gets selected is the subway station. Since that is one of "any of them", you have been proved wrong 4 times over.
Etre have you ever been out and used walking maps? I think you need specsavers
Do you actually own an iPhone? Are you aware it has GPS? Have you really ever actually tried it? Because when I manually nagivate to one end of Holloway road and search for "underground", I get this:
Strangely, if I go to the other end of the street and do the same thing, I get an entirely different station:
I wonder what would happen if I did a similar search for "underground" while zoomed in on the "hammersmith" pin?
Well what do you know? But how would I ever get there? Hmmm, you mentioned "walking maps". Maybe I should try walking directions from "hammersmith" to one of the underground stations.
By my count, I have proved your anti-Apple Maps misinformation to be wrong 6 times over. Wanna try for a lucky seven?

  • I just upgraded my data plan from 6GB to 10GB for the same rate of $80 is this a promotion? If yes, when does the promotion end? Thank you.

I just upgraded my data plan from 6GB to 10GB for the same rate of $80 per month. Is this a promotion? If yes, when does the promotion end?

In most cases you keep the same plan and promotions even when you upgrade the phone.  There are exceptions for very old plans and unlimited data, but essentially mrhelper is correct. You have option to "keep current plan" when upgrading.  so in most cases, your statement that you will go back to $100 for 10 GB when upgrading is incorrect.  What was your particular circumstance?

  • Job running, when will the next scheduled one start?

    Hi all,
When I schedule a job every 3 minutes and the previous one has not finished, when will the next run start?
Is it immidiatly after the previous run ends? Or at a given time? (f.e.: 6.30 -> run 6.33 -> skiped because the 6.30 job is still running 6.36 -> last job has stopped so it's oké to start this one) Or at the initial 3 minute interval counting since the last job ended? (f.e.: 6.30 -> run, job ends at 6.34, next job at 6.37)
    Thanx...

I know this has been answered better somewhere in this forum but I can't find it right now so here is a quick answer to your questions.
Assumption: You have set the scheduler to run a job every 3 minutes starting at 6:30 today.
The scheduler uses that information to determine that the job should run at 6:30, 6:33, 6:36, 6:39, etc. The Scheduler will only have one running occurrence of your job so you do not have to worry about it running concurrently. If the first run at 6:30 takes 4 minutes, when it finishes at 6:34, the Scheduler will immediately start up the 6:33 scheduled job and have it run. If instead, the first run at 6:30 takes 7 minutes, the Scheduler will skip the 6:33 run and run the 6:36 schedule instead.
You can also say that if a job is "x" time units late, do not run it. This can be done via the schedule_limit attribute, set via DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_ATTRIBUTE. For the example, you could set it to 2 minutes and if the first run takes 5 minutes, the 6:33 run will be skipped and the Scheduler will wait till 6:36 to run the next occurrence.
