When will the wifi issue be corrected???

Come on, Apple! I, like the millions of others who updated to Mavericks and then to Yosemite, need the internet to work and to live! I do not have the luxury of being able to hard wire to the internet, so this issue with the wifi is seriously bringing me down. I have to stay at work for hours longer than usual instead of being able to go home because I can no longer access the internet at home. This is ridiculous! I have tried every band-aid out there and nothing is working. Please, please. please, fix the problem.

OK, i tried to read through & understand all the posts in the '5 page thread regarding WIFI issues for iphone5' but as alot of it doesn't relate to me I'm going to take a stab and see if anyone can help before i sell this **** phone on craigslist and go with a Samsung.
My partner and I have been surfing a wifi connection from our apartment building for a year now (at the start we had our own with a good router and all but it actually didn't even work as well) And it works great! ....well considering it's free, it's pretty **** good. >> Up until a few days ago my 1 month old iphone5 doesn't pick up the WiFi (boyfriend's samsung does no problem, same with our macbook). Now had i not read all the other issues about the wifi for iphone5, iOS 6, etc I would just go sign up for my own internet and pay the fees like a good citizen but now I'm not convinced that will even solve the problem.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I've already tried:

>Restore Settings
>Restore iphone
Or do i give up on Apple and switch over to a Samsung like my boyfriend?

Question, have you been stealing somebody elses internet or does your apartment complex provide a communal network for residents?

A lot of the JMS limitations were brought up during 6.0 beta. Supposedly
          there are plans to address these particular concerns in an upcoming version
          (not 6.0).

Photo gene edited pbotos willnot transfer to pboto stream. Photogene says its Apple's problem in IOS 8.1.2. When will this be fixed?????

Thanks Gail. Unfortunately Phtotgene will not respond. All they have is a bulletin on their website that the problem was caused by Apples latest release 8.1.2 and a workaround solution to use in the meantime. Its a real pain. I use photogene daily in my family history research. I had the impression that Apple caused the poblem and therefore would fix it. From my perspective since Apple hand picks their Apps they have a respsibility to make sure it gets fixed for the sake of their users. So as they point the fingers at each other we the users suffer. The iPad map ***** big time. I cannot rely on its accuracy. There have bee too many instances when the map provided an incorrect location. I have to rely on Google map to get a proper location. The street map names in Taipei, Taiwan are a joke.

The problems with Apple Maps are well-publicized and even Apple has admitted that there are better solutions. There's no way to know when a specific area will get better accuracy, but you should use one of those other solutions until and if Apple Maps improves.

It's something to do with the main user account (not iTunes account) on my Mac because I logged in with another account and it downloaded fine, I installed it on the HDD and even though the date in App Store was 16th October 2014, it is the full installer of 10.10.2.
To try to resolve this problem, I have copied the installer app elsewhere and deleted it but App Store still will not allow me to download it with my main user account yet just allowed me to update iTunes.
I had a brainwave last night that it might have been related to me changing the default downloads folder to one not on my boot drive (to save disk space on my main boot drive) but having changed it back, tried again, rebooted and tried yet again, deleted my App Store preferences. nothing has worked.

FAcetime and imessage uses internet connection. If you are turning it on only when you are connected to wifi then it is free. However if you leave it on and you are already away from the network then it will be using your data which is provided by your carrier. It will be costly then

in addition to poor open GL performance, i've also had problems with any program utilizing antialiasing support. i recently sat down and called apple and had a discussion with their support line. while i didn't mention the poor open GL performance, i did mention the graphical errors i was experiencing with my MBP. i was told these issues are not normal, and have a replacment on the way. while these issues are some what numerous, i've not been able to find much more than a few articles or discussions on the topic. i'm hoping this means it is contained to a few MBPs and not all. we'll see when the replacment comes. if not, however, i'd consider a class action suit. the machine i bought was sold as a portable gaming machine, (apple.com/games/hardware) and thats not what i've gotten. i am very disappointed that apple has not even acknowledged the issue to let us know some fix is in the works. if enough of us make a big enough noise about it, perhaps we can get some sort of reply. i'd recommend you sending a note to apple as mentioned, then take some time to sit and give apple a call. they are very interested in listening to you, don't feel silly about calling about game perfromance, they are advertising these machines as such.

Now I have to point out that going ballistic has certain connotations but posting on an internet forum is not one of them.
I appear to be one of thousands who are all expressing their outrage in a rational and intelligent manner which cannot be said for your lebvel 4 + collegues on this forum.
Finally there has been an ongoing issue wiith the iPad 3 Wifi on certain wifi only models , I have not encountered it and it seems clear neither have you. That of course does not discount the fact that many others have experienced this issue , an issue which may reveal itself to you or I in the future particularly as I have only been using mine for a fortnight.

There are no WiFi fixes explicitly listed in the content of iOS 6.1.
What WiFi problem are you having? I've never had any WiFi issues with iOS 6.

No, the app store will be out when the iPhone Firmware 2.0 is released. The 2nd gen phone is to be released "some time in 2008" not necessarily when the 2.0 update is released. However, Apple has been letting stock of the 1st gen iPhone draw down so you can make your own conclusions.
