    when will there be an update for Lightroom 4 which provides the option to import RAW-files from the Olympus OM-D E-M10 directly into LR4?

    Lightroom 5.0 came out in June 2013 with a public beta for LR5 available at Adobe Labs back in April 2013.  It seems you may have been unlucky purchasing the old version just before the new version came out, or perhaps LR5 required a minimum OS level your computer didn’t have.
    Purchasing a new version every year isn’t necessary, but you do have to buy a new version whenever you buy an unsupported camera.
    Adobe employees need to get paid just like the rest of us, and their releasing a new payfor version every so often is how they get paid. 
    Never mind that the new version has improvements beyond new camera support, so there was a full development-release-training-marketing effort behind it.
    The upgrade price is cheaper than the full purchase price and if you want Photoshop capabilities, there is a LR+PS Photographer’s Bundle that is half the price of purchasing Photoshop, itself:

    I have just got the new iPod Touch for christmas. I am now wondering when a docking station will come out for the new iPod Touch with the new lightning connection. I have not been able to find a docking station that fits the iPod Touch without having to buy the adapter(the adapter does not allow the iPod to be charged)

    You would have to ask the makers of the docking stations that question. Belkin has a dock now that uses Apple's Lightning cable:

    so all it basically does is provide a stand and pass through the headphone jack. There's at least one other dock here:

    If you're referring to Apple's Universal Dock, there have been no indications that they will make any new dock, though of course none of us here know their plans for future products.

    I had ordered my 5 with the ATT Upgrader app on the 18th.  I knew since I ordered late, it would be a while before I received it. I was ok with that...until my cousin texted me yesterday..she walked into the local Radio Shack and just bought one!  (She has Verizon)
    I called ATT and they were able to cancel my order since it was still "Processing" and hadn't even hit the "backorder" stage yet.  Radio Shack was sold out of the ATT version, so I called the Apple Store in my city. They didn't have any either, but told me to use the Apple Store app or website at 10pm every night. You go through the purchase process and when you get to the end, select "local pick up" and choose the local store.  There are 3 near me in Pittsburgh, so I just tapped each one until I got one that had it.  My purchase when through and I got the email this morning telling me I could pick it up today!  I'm actually done with work right now and about to head out!

    Regarding sound, it's simply a matter personal preference.  My suggestion is to go to the nearest Apple Store and try out a couple.  Each of the products at the store have passed an extensive vetting process.  The Specialists are willing to work with you and may even open a box or two.  Don't be unreasonable and expect to spend a half-day opening all the different models.  In other words, don't abuse their willingness to provide stellar customer service.
    Better yet, direct your eyballs to the store shelf or the Apple website.  That's really all you need to know.

    Apple has not announced any new iPod models. When they do, we'll all find out at the same time, I would guess, since the announcement will be prominent on every Apple-related web site and will probalby be posted in multiple threads in these forums.
    Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Communities page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

    Ordered mine in late September.  Just received notice that it will ship in 5 to 7 days with a delivery estimate of October 24th - 27th..  Hope this helps.

    You can sell to to someone.
    Apple has a recycling program where they will give you 10% off of a new ipod if your bring in your old one.
