When will they add sound to Muse?

Another update to Muse, they rewrote it from ground up, but still no sound capabilities.  I need sound without the hassles of hand-coding or third-party workarounds.  Anyone hear any rumors when they'll add sound to Muse?

And as everyone knows it's impossible to put an "Enable Sound" button on the page along with a volume slider, for if there's sound it MUST be played at full volume with no means of turning it off, right?  I mean, if web sounds went out of style 10 years ago then that's it, nobody can ever use sounds again.  Anyone who wants to make web pages for blind friends, musical training sites for children, spoken word translations or explorable soundscapes should all just go to hell because nobody can ever learn from the mistakes of the past.  If something failed ten years ago then it's doomed to fail for all eternity.
*Sheesh*  Have you ever considered using your imagination instead of knee-jerking?  In case you haven't noticed, things are very different now than they were ten years ago.  People want to do creative things with their websites, even some things that require sounds (heaven forbid!) and music (nobody wants to hear music).
So here's hoping the Muse team tells you to go to hell and ignores you forever more because you're wrong in your assumptions and, as you've just declared, once wrong you can never be right.
But having said that, I've worked with numerous people on all those projects listed above and while Edge allows sound it's not easy and really bottlenecks the creative process.  Especially annoying when I can sit down with others and whip up the site designs and graphic elements in minutes but sounds are excluded entirely until much later.

  • When will Adobe add sound tools to Muse?

Someone needs to point out to Adobe that people have ears, and would like to use them for something other than things to hold glasses up.
I have several clients that would really like to incorporate sound into their web site as easily as they can graphics, but until Adobe adds some sound tools to Muse they're stuck with icons that when clicked give a text description of what bird calls sound like rather than the sound of real birds.  A couple other clients would like to set up various midi scores that can be controlled with sliders/scroll bars/buttons.
I understand Muse is still in it's infancy, but if they can include nifty scrolling effects couldn't they at least add a "click to play" sound tool?

    Hi,
I would request you to post this as a feature request at Ideas for features in Adobe Muse
Moreover, until we have introduced this feature, please refer to this forum post as a workaround to add music to your site :- https://forums.adobe.com/message/5602437
    Hope this helps

  • E90 3G frequencies - when will they add US

I'm currently running around with an FI version of the 9500. I recently bought the N95-3 for my second line (currently in the shop; lost some pixels on the screen).
    I would reeeeeeaaaaaaallly want to buy the E90 but since it doesn't support AT&T 3G (850/1900) I probably won't.
Anyone heard anything about Nokia adding those frequencies to the E90 anytime soon?
Why not stuff every phone with every frequency out there.. others do it.. *sigh*
Does anyone know if iUnlock.com is the only place where one can get the 9500 flashed to the newest version or are there shops in Colorado or in the L.A. area that can also do it?
    Thanks

AT&T's GSM AND 3G frequencies are 850 and 1900. I know the E90 would rock; I have two 9500's and I started with an 9200 - but data is excruciatingly slow. The E90 only supports 2100 for 3G. FYI the iPhone 2.0 supports 850,1900, and 2100 for 3G and all 4 for GSM (the new model that's hitting the stores on 7/11). I'd be happy to pay the TWO TIMES MORE it costs for the E90 IF it supported 850/1900 for 3G; alas it does not. But that was my post.. to figure out why does Nokia so selectively support frequencies and whether or not there was ever any plans to add frequencies to the 3G band in their phones.

  • When will they update iMovie to allow it to upload videos longer than 15 minutes?

When will they update iMovie to allow video uploads longer than 15 minutes to youtube or is there a setting that can be changed that I am not aware of?

indeed, although you're entitled for uploads beyond 15min (as I do   ), iM sets some unwanted benchmark. me no programmer, unfortunately diggin' thru various -plists of the app didn't show me any 'hidden flag' we can set to change that.

I would just advise that you be careful with old model chargers that were built for 30 pin to USB connectors for the old iPhones. They may not work for the iPhone 5 and/or they might damage the phone/battery etc. The best plan would be to wait for some kind of charger that was made for the iPhone 5.
Nonsense; USB outputs are an industry standard, there is no danger in using a USB to Lightning cord to charge your iPhone 5.

sorry if my post dont make sense but im typing fast as i could and hitting the wrong buttons and trying to correct it

Hi, its Sep 2013, and I just purchased Spartacus Season 3 'War of the Damned' on iTunes ($25.99) to watch on my Apple TV in 1080i on my LG 55" LED screen. I wish is was in 3D, because my TV is 3D capable and it works great on 3D movies like Avitar and John Carter. My questions are:
1.) How long is the Season Pass good for? In other words, is it the same thing as purchasing the DVDs, except that you need to be connected to iTunes to play it? I would like to know if I can watch the series over and over for the next 10 years, if I want to, or whether there is an expiration date, like a rental? And if so, how long? I hope it doesn't expire in 6 months, like the rumors have said.
2.) How many of the episodes in the series are available as of Sep 2013?
3.) Where are the Season Passes stored, when they are downloaded?  I purchased the Season Pass on my Apple TV, but I don't think it has a hard drive.  I heard that is only has an 8GB volatile storage, like RAM, for aiding in streaming from the Internet. Does each episode download to the volatile memory and then disappear after watching it? I know that I will find out soon, because I'm about to watch my first season pass episode amd then continue on to subsequent episodes and I'll see if I can go back and rewatch the previously watched episodes.
4.) My next question involves watching the season pass on my iTouch (4G). I'm sure that I can download the episodes to watch there too;  My question is how long can I watch them on my iTouch? I have purchased movies before and they are still available to watch any time on my iTouch, over and over.  What I am wondering is what happens when my iTouch 32GB drive fills up and I need to make more room. Will I lose my purchased movies?  I suppose that if I purchased iMatch, they might always be available in the cloud, if I continue paying annually, but I don't want to do that.
After purchasing Season 3 of Spartacus with my Apple TV, the first episode immediatly started downloading and a message said "Movie will be available to watch in an hour". By the way, I have a 3 Mbps DSL download connection.  I clicked on episode 2, and it appeared to start downloading too.  I then went back to episode 1, to make sure it was still downloading and it was.  I think that if you start downloading a later episode, future episodes will download, not the earlier ones--assuming that you have already seen them.

  • When will they be in stores?

Hey, I live in a small town in Wisconsin. The nearest apple store is 3+ hours from me. I was wondering...when will the new iPod nano's be in store (Approximately) I want to buy the "Blue" nano, but I would like to see it in person before choosing a color. Just, if you have any "rough" approximate time, please tell me. Thanks

Thanks! I called my local walmart *I called at noon today, no luck* I feel so stupid! They got them in at 1:00 PM! So...thanks! I apologize for the thread. They got the nano's in and will be willing to let me "TEST" them tomorrow! I am so excited! Thanks!

  • Epubs from InDesign.  When will they work?

    Dear All,
More of an observation, than a question.
All our books are now on epub format, and we are discontinuing paper books.  Paper is too much trouble, and epub sales are doing well.
However  -  and it is a big however.
We are using an epub translating company, because InDesign will not output complex epubs, and we do not understand epubs.   But we are losing control of the quality of the books, because we are having to edit and make changes with some guy in India who does not understand book layouts or what we are trying to do.  Thus everything is two steps forwards, and one step back, just to get a simple change done.
So when will InDesign be able to output complex epubs?  (ie,  different fonts, load of images, lots of in-line hieroglyphs, videos, audios etc: etc:)     And I don't mean outputting by: check this, change that, do this, change this HTML to that HTML    ---   I mean "click for epub output" the same as I "click for a PDF output".  Done, instant.
I give Adobe due warning here.    The first company that comes out with a publishing suite that will output complex epubs, we will change to them in an instant.   We have been with Adobe for 20 years, but we cannot go on editing books 5,000 miles away, it is like editing with boxing gloves on.   You cannot even highlight an error in 'paragraph three on page 487'   -   BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PAGES.   (Grrrr)
Come on, Adobe.  Do something, or InDesign will only have three customers in five years time.
    Sincerely,
    Ralph Ellis

    >> Ascerbic Levine
    >>The reader is the one with the final control over how an EPUB looks, not the developer.
    >>The reader picks the fonts, the reader picks the size, the reader picks the orientation of the device.
Nonsense.  The developer chooses the sizes and positions of the images, whether the text flows past images, the relative sizes of the text, the type of font, the italisation or boldness of fonts, whether the Greek and Hebrew fonts are presented correctly (as images!), the positions of hieroglyps in the text, the justification of headings and text, lines and line-spacing, the indentation of text  etc: etc: etc: etc:
The developer can and will destroy the presentation and layout of a book in one easy move  -  and sorting out these many problems and errors at arms length, with someone who knows nothing about literature or publishing, is a nightmare of biblical proportions.
    >>Jongware
    >> This already exists. It's called "PDF" (a funny side note in that is that's an Adobe invention). There is no
    >>"straight translation" possible from book to e-book. If you think there is, use a PDF, because
    >>that is a flat out translation.
Yes, and if Apple and Kindle had chosed PDFs as the standard file type for ebooks, there would be no problems.  We can control the layout of a PDF through InDesign, and the iPad will display a PDF book exactly as we design it  -  INCLUDING ALL OUR STRANGE FONTS AND HIEROGLYPS.   A pdf is the perfect solution, and there is only one small problem with this ebook Nirvana  -  both Apple and Kindle will not sell straight PDFs.....
As an aside, why the hell cannot epub display strange fonts, when pdf can?  Why is this basic function such an insurmountable problem?
    >>Jongware
    >>The reason it is not possible is because an e-pub is reflowable, resizable, reformattable,
    >>reviewable, etc. etc., as Bob, possibly ascerbic or carping, but yet entirely correctly, remarks.
    >>It is a different kind of text, with its own set of features -- and limitations as well.
We don't care if epubs are flowable or resizeable  (PDFs are also rezieable, you just increase the magnification).  In fact, a well-made epub book is quite a good platform for reading books  (except it is crap at tabbing and tables).
What we do care about, is that if I say to InDesign  -  'make epub'  -   it will not translate Greek or Hebrew fonts, it sticks the hieroglips from chapter 3 into chapter 4, it puts page numbers into a flowable text, it cannot understand indents, tables or italisation, it left justifies center justified text, and then to add insult to injury it center justifies left justified text.  It cannot understand superscript references, it will not link to references to the references section, it cannot flow text around images, all the images are the wrong size, it does not even realise that you have cropped an image, and it turns bold text into underline text.
In short, the epub translator within InDesign (and most other packages) is a joke.   If epub translation worked (and I have to say that most of these errors are easily fixable) we would have no problem with epub as the industry standard for ebooks.  But at present, it looks like the major tablet producers have chosen the turkey (epub) instead of the eagle (pdf).    Just because Kindle chose a reflowable text, to fit on its microscopic tablet, why did Apple follow suit?  An iPad will easily display a 234 x 156 pdf page (royal format), in all its glory.

  • Does anyone know when apple will add more apps to their apple tv. I would love having to be able to walk through my house and listen to an audiobook. Or will they add VUDU to apple tv. I have the app on the ipad.

Roku has a lot more choices for tv watching. I would love to watch vudu through the apple tv, instead of my smart tv. I also like the feature of being able to listen to music or listening to an audiobook through the whole house through apple tvs in every room.

  • When will apple add more emoji symbols?

I want to add more symbols to my emoji keyboard, will apple be adding
Any more soon? Or is there a way I can add more?

Apple doesn't control what emoji characters are available. They are part of an international standard so that they work everywhere.
    http://www.unicode.org/faq/emoji_dingbats.html
There would be no point Apple adding extra emoji if they only worked on Apple devices.
When the Unicode organisation add new Emoji to the standard (which apparently they are working on) then Apple can add those new emoji to iOS.
