When will Tiger work properly?!?!? I just lost over 1000 of my addresses!!
Tiger has been a complete pain in the *** for me since day one. With every upgrade, I pray that it's been fixed. 10.4.4 seemed be better. And YET, just an hour or so ago, I lost my entire data base of business customers from my address book. And it might be permanent. I just spent the last hour trying to salvage as much as I could from my home computer and the same bug that caused me to lose everything appears not to be a fluke as Address Book is locking up on searches, just like what happened before it happened on the other computer. This never happened before and I just lost data worth $thousands to me. Tens of $thousands actually. Exactly what the **** is going on at Apple? Does anyone know how to find my address and restore them? Address book won't recognize any of the files from the looks of it. Now I'm worried of losing all of what little I have left.
I doubt if you've lost them, only just can't find them in the current account. They're there somewhere! Might be something like this:

Do all animations and features of Keynote save as PowerPoint Presentations and are all of the animations and features then useable on a PC in the .ppt format, will it work properly?
I want to buy a Macbook Pro, but i need to know the scale of compatability between my Microsoft products and my soon to be apple products, proffessional presentations are vital for what i want, therefore compatability if key if i am to purchase a Mac. Thank you.Not all of the animations and features in Keynote will transition into Powerpoint. Most of the basic ones do - but not the advanced. I had this issue when I first switched over to Mac, so to overcome this, I do two things:
I figured out which animations and transitions work in both Keynote and Powerpoint and used them. It's kind of a pain when I can't use the awesome Keynote animations, however, Keynote is still much easier and intuitive to work in than Powerpoint.
I sometimes export my Keynote presentations to a Quicktime movie (.mov). Apple makes it very simple to export to this format; which can then be accessed on both a Mac and PC and all of the transitions and effects remain as they are in Keynote.

Although possibly not related to your problem, I will remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Furthermore, it has known bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum stability, performance, security and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at [http://www.getfirefox.com getfirefox.com].
As for your problem, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. I would try a restore just to see if it could be something software related, but if that doesn't work I would recommend taking to an Apple Store to see if it is a serious hardware issue and if it is, assuming you're in warranty, then they would be able to replace your phone.

I have been running Outlook 2013 for a couple of weeks now using W8 64bit.
It works with iCloud and is a little flakey, what I've found.
1. 4 X Junk Folders.
2. Some emails cannot be moved into saved folder, saying message has changed, but opening in outlook safe
mode allows move.
3. Sent Items (this computer only) and Sent Messages, so you have to move emails from Sent Items to Sent
Messages if you want them to sync across devices.
4. Icloud control panel say's there is a problem and not syncing but it is no problem.
I can live with the bugs, but I wish the last icloud update would have corrected the issues. -

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Up next doesn't seem to work properly with multiple speakers over airplay. The status bar on the computer shows the song playing, but not over airplay. When I restart the song it plays, but the same thing happens when the next song cues up. Any ideas?

Open your User Library in the Finder. It is hidden in MacOS X Lion, so use the Finder's "Go" menu:
Finder > GO hold down the "Options" key, until the library appears in the menu, select it.
In the window that opens, open the folder "Preferences" and remove the file:com.apple.garageband.plist and com.apple.garageband.plist.lockfile
Then try again to run GarageBand and download the loops.
The preferences file stores all you user settings that you set using the "Preferences" panel in GarageBand, also the layout of the GarageBand window and the location of your recent projects. You will have to enter these settings again after removing the file.

Siri works in Canada now, for those features supported there. If you mean the ability to locate businesses, Apple has not announced anything as of yet. All we know is this:
