When will you release the next version of Strobe? + Feature suggestions

Thanks for a really excellent,solid and well thought-through video player.
I'm just curious on when the next version will be released. What kind of features are planned? A public roadmap would be really nice to have when developing around this player.
My suggestions would be:
Simple JavaScript API
An optional loader graphic while the media element is being retrieved/determined. (Instead of the miss-aligned buttons and completely black screen)
Possibility for the user to retry playback if RTMP connection fails, (media element not found) instead of locking the player, currently forcing the user to reload the browser.
Remove the pause button on live streams and replace it with a stop button. (When DVR is not supported obviously)

Thank you these great suggestions! We will definitely consider these for our future roadmap. A couple quick answers to your questions:
We are shooting to release the next version (v1.5) of Strobe Media Playback (SMP) in December.
One of the key features of SMP 1.5 is a JavaScript API for creating player controls. We've actually just released a sprint drop that includes this feature, and the source can be downloaded here and the specification can be found here.
Some of the other planned features for SMP 1.5 include Multicast support and an HTML5 fallback engine. (Please note that these are just planned and not committed features.)
We have just added support for an FMS 3.5.3 feature called Stream Reconnect to OSMF 1.5 (release currently scheduled for early November). In the event of a network connection loss, this allows the player to continue to play out the buffer while it attempts to reconnect to the network. Would this suit your needs? We will likely eventually add this to SMP as well.

I tried every methods up online trying to sync the music, photo, and videos. Nothing is working right now ever since I updated my ios to 7.

9.2.1 is as stable as every other version of iPhoto. Look back through this forum or any other. There are always people who have issues, always. There are no more nor no less with this version. When the next one comes out - be it 9.2.2 or 9.3 or whatever there'll be more posts from other people.
Remember, the people who don't have issues don't post to forums on the Internet.
This is not only true of iPhoto but just about every single piece of software on every OS and the OSes as well

Switch 11 when will you update to 2015 version Adobe says is there?

Running Switch 11 with Core i3.When I load Adobe illustrator it tells me to update my video driver.It appears there is a new Intel Driver.. but Intell won't update over your customer driver version. Interesting:If I tried to have Windows update the driver, it would say I had the latest driver.If I tried to use Intel's Utility it said I needed to used the custom driver from the makerAcer support utility said I had the most recent driver However:Yesterday I removed the driver (toubleshooting screen brightness not working after sleep sometimes), but didn't delete it. However when I restarted the machine and in Device Mananager told Windows to UPDATE the driver in Device Manager it said "Downloading ...." vs just installing what was already on the machine. Guess What: Adobe Illustrator now uses the GPU for enhancements and doesn't pop the error. Feels like there may have been a update someplace, but the version number was not incremented right so Acer Tools etc. said I had the current driver but Windows found a newer one, only after I removed the old one and had the machine on the default Windows Display Driver when I asked for the updated. Problem is fixed Thanks

CREATIVE: Comon! Don't you understand, that there are actually a lot of your costumers who have SPENT MONEY on your hardware, but can't make it work right with win7 becauase your drivers are freakin' old!

I'm probably not the only one tired of creative acting like a bunch of snails, as far as i've read here in the forum! It's been a year almost since their latest driver release for the x-fi, right? I simply don't understand it!

Their inability to provide drivers for Windows 7, if the reason would be that Windows 7 is too narrow market they will bite their own ass, Windows 7 is growing very rapidly. And if a hardware provider cant provide drivers for Windows 7 they surely wont provide them in the future for the OS after Windows 7. So stay away from Creative, they are bad for you.

In the mean time, or if it doesn't make it into LR 5.3 and you like techy stuff, see http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52616096 for how to patch the exif of Df NEFs to look like D4 NEFs, as the presumption is that the sensor is identical.
Warning: take note of the advice in that thread to make backups of your NEFs first. Second warning: read the whole thread. In the first post he says Exiftool when he means Exifchanger.

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

The college uses, E-bray, to read the E books from the library. The previous version of Firefox worked great with the plugin. When I upgraded to the next version of Firefox now the plugin will not work.

E-bray is a reader that allows me to easily read the college's Library's selection of electronic media. I am running version 5.0 of Firefox and the other version worked fine. It may have been version 3, I think. I have version 3 in my download. Can I load this version back onto my lap or will this really mess things up?

Many add-ons do in fact work if you force them to run. The procedure to roll-back is given in this article: [[installing previous versions of firefox]]
Unfortunately the official Firefox policy is that you downgrade to 3.6 which is supported for a while longer, and not the now unsupported Firefox 4. If after installing and running the ''add-on compatibility reporter'' you still have problems there are ways around the official policy.
I think it is absurd that Firefox 4 may be used by tens of millions of users one day and a few days later those that upgrade to Firefox 5 should be not only told not to use a now unsupported browser, if they need to revert due to problems, but are actually obstructed in attempts to do so. I just bought the HD version of an episode, when will I get the SD version?

Ok so today I just bought the last episode of The Legend of Korra but didn't know it was in HD (would've bought on iTouch iTunes store instead). I've been researching all day on how to put this episode on my iPod touch 2nd gen (SD version). I've found that the methods with the Cloud work but when I tried it and unclicked download with HD when available, I cannot find the SD version of my episode.
Will I get it when I get my reciept or something, I just can't find any solutions. Also I am contemplating asking for a refund, I only want the SD version...

The current 04.14 version of the firmware is very buggy compared to the previous versions. It exhibits too many faults and it completely out of hand. Anyone have ideas on this?

I skimmed over those threads and read about some hardware detection issues that should be cleared up with the next release. I have a difficult to setup hardware issue. I need to wait for the next realease. I am merely trying to get a really rough idea of days, weeks, months or years.

When will Sony release the new firmware 14.3.A.0.761?

I'm getting tired of my Xperia Z1 camera. It's super grainy and blurry. Superior Auto mode doesn't help. In Manual setting the ISO and Red-Eye Reduction option don't work. They are unclickable.
My Xperia SP works a very liiiiiiittle bit better in Manual settings > Resolution 2MP (4:3), Night Portrait scene, Flash OFF. But with the Xperia Z1, it seems like there's no other way or option to take even a single good picture.

Hopes Xperia Z1 and SP are not my last phones by Sony brand.

Here are some tips to effectively utilize your Z1 camera: (based on my personal experience)
1. Increasing ISO setting increases camera sensitivity w/c means lesser blur when taking moving subjects. Take note, you must get the right setting for this. ISO algorithm increases sharpness therefore more noise and grainy pictures if tweaked badly. It is best to set ISO setting to "AUTO" mode. This setting increases the chance of getting the right or acceptable ISO setting in Z1.
2. More chances of getting beautiful shots when Z1 recognizes the scene or environment. You will notice some icon under your viewfinder if Z1 successfully recognizes the scene. Some samples of this icons are flower for macro or closeup shots, a candle for low light conditions, mountain for landscapes etc. Do not take pictures when a man moving icon is displayed, this means the camera is not steady. Always enable the "image stabilizer" option for stabilty. Try moving the phone left or right or find a better place or angle to take pictures until it recognizes a scene. Remember Z1 only optimizes the scene when it does recognize it.
3. Do not use superior auto if you already know your scene. Sometimes superior auto fails to suggest the right SCN. For example you go outside of your house on a bright sunlight, you already know that it is sunny. Then superior auto indicates a face icon w/c means soft skin or face detection. This is not right, instead go to manual mode tap SCN and use HDR backlight correction, that setting is more suitable strong backlight scenes. Always use the SCN option in manual mode if the options available there fits your environment or scene. What if the scene you are taking does not included in SCN option in manual mode? Then it is time to use superior auto in these situation. If I'm not mistaken, superior auto uses the BIONZ processing algorithm w/c is optimized for up to 32 different SCN. Some of the optimized SCN included in the BIONZ processing algorithm are the low light SCN symbolizes the candle icon, flower icon for macro shots etc. These settings are not available in the SCN manual mode and can be used only in superior auto mode. Remember superior auto only uses 8MP not 20.7
4. Use superior auto in most low light conditions.
5. If you do not prefer using the manual SCN options. It is best to set the white balance options first before tweaking other options in manual mode. Set the right light condition for the right scene. Select the sun icon when shooting unser the sun, fluorescent icon in inside the house or under a fluorescent lamp, bulb if shooting in a bulb lighted environment etc and you'll be stunned and shocked with the Z1 camera capabilities.
