When you Command+Delete an App in iTunes, you can't Transfer Purchases?

When you delete an App from iTunes using right+click and delete option, you have some checkboxes to agree and than your app will be deleted. When you do this, you can Transfer Purchases from your iPhone, and you will get back that app deleted.
But when you Command+Delete an App in iTunes, you can't Transfer Purchases to get back that deleted app. Why is this happening? How can I get back the Apps from my iPhone without re-downloading it from AppStore?

Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon? I have so many apps that they don't all show up on the existing screens. I know it can be done by connecting to a computer and using iTunes, but I'm on the road away from my Mac.

I tried that and instead of showing me the inaccessible screens, it just shortens the number of available screens. Then if I reset the home screen in preferences it removes the folders I created and I'm back to square one.

What do you mean delete from iTunes? You can't do that on an iPad. You can delete apps in iTunes on a computer. If you want to delete an app on the iPad, tap and hold down on the icon until the icon wiggles, then tap the X appears on the icon to delete the app. Tap the home button when finished.
You really need to explain in more detail what you wNt to do. Maybe this will help.

I have the same problem on my iPhone - an app I want to delete but can't. The app in question doesn't show up on the list of apps i iTunes and doesn't show an 'X' when it starts to wiggle. All the other apps do, but not this one. It's definitely an app. How do I get rid of it, please?

iTunes 10.3 is not available anywhere yet at the time I am writing this. Keep checking throughout the day.
iCloud won't be available as a final product until Fall (Sept. 23 - Dec. 21). You might check to see if you have access to the beta with the app store and iBooks, but you will need 4.3.3.

i know this means i have 136 apps that need to be updated, but for what?

Not 100% sure of your question. If you are wanting to delete apps from itunes just right click then delete then empty recycle bin.

Try downloading the apps from your phone
App store > tap updates> tap purchased> tap not on this iphone> click on the cloud with the down arrow for the app you want to download"

I am getting the error "An app xxxx was not installed on iphone xxxx because the app could not be found." I get this error at every sync. Basically the app is on iTune but not on the phone. hi i dont know if this will work for anyone but i had not been on itunes for sometime but today i went on to watch a new episode of walking dead but it said i still had to wait 36 days out of the 90days , i managed to get my episode to download load by clicking my apple id in itunes going to account and at the very bottom off the page there is a button that says reset all warnings for buying and downloading i pressed this then it let me download hope this works for you worked for me

it is a problem with the latest update. nothing you can do will fix it, besides rolling your apple tv back to the last update.
