  • Error message: Bad Image: The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\MOZCRT19.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

I was in Firefox but I exited. Soon I opened it again, it
installed updates and this message showed up. I tried
scanning the file, looking at it, and everything short of
reinstalling Firefox (which every other person with this
problem has tried but it has not worked.). I installed
Firefox by USB drive, not a diskette, and I no longer have
it with me, so I can't check it from there. What should I
    do to fix this problem?

  • Am getting this message when I attempt to open Firefox: "The application or DLL F:\Program Files\ Mozilla Firefox\nss3.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

I had responded favorably to the upgrade message from Firefox but after the download I kept getting a Firefox message that I had to close all other instances of Firefox running before the installation process could complete. There were no other open Firefox programs! I re-booted and tried to open Firefox, and the Windows alert already cited started, and Firefox will not open.
Checking via Windows Explorer it appears that I still have version 3.6.

I resolved the problem. I went to CNet and re-downloaded the upgrade. It proceeded as intended and the upgrade is installed and running with no loss of plug-ins, bookmarks, etc.

  • When I click on my Firefox desktop shortcut, this message appears "The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\MOZCRT19.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your instillation diskette". I cannot enter the program.

I believe that my question gave all the details. I am wireless in my home and the other computers connected to this wireless have no problem getting into Firefox. What is MOZCRT19?

    clementem,
This means there is a problem with the files you need to run Firefox.
    Try a clean reinstall:
    1. Download the Firefox installer from [http://mozilla.com Mozilla.com] and save it to your desktop or other location.
    2. Make sure that Firefox is closed completely
    3. Delete the Firefox installation directory (On Windows, this is typically the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder that contains "firefox.exe" and other Firefox program files and folders).
    4. Reinstall Firefox by running the installer you downloaded previously.
Your personal settings, including bookmarks and history, will not be lost.

  • Since I downloaded Apple's latest operating system, whenever I try to open Illustrator I get a message that I need to install legacy Java SE6 runtime and to click "more info" to do this. When I click "more info" I get a blank window. What should I do

Since I downloaded Apple's latest operating system, whenever I try to open Illustrator I get a message that I need to install legacy Java SE6 runtime and to click "more info" to do this. When I click "more info" I get a blank window. What should I do

    Hi,
I had the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite. Illustrator CS6 wouldn't open. I got a message saying I should 'install legacy Java SE6 runtime'.
The link didn't work - it lead to a blank page.
So I downloaded Java8 (latest version) from Oracle but didn't install it. Something told me this was not the right way to go (the problem was with Java SE6, not 8). I then called Apple (in the Netherlands, were I live) for help. I got none. The best they could do was blaming Adobe for the problem or me, for not having the latest Adobe CC app. Rubbish.
And then, magic. I tried to open Illustrator again, got the pop up message but this time the link worked. It took me to an official Apple page, with a link to download Java for OS X 2014-001. The problem is now solved.
If curious, this is the explanation Apple gives for the problem:
'Java for OS X 2014-001 includes installation improvements, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X. This package installs the same version of Java 6 included in Java for OS X 2013-005. On systems that have not already installed Java for OS X 2012-006 or later, this update disables the Java SE 6 applet plug-in. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled 'missing plug-in' to download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle.'
See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6133 for more details about this update.
See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222 for information about the security content of this update.

I am able to view it on all other devices in our household, including, two macbooks, and ipad and a wii.  However on appletv it will not work.  This leads me to believe that it is a problem on apple's side.  When can I expect Netflix to start working?

  • I have tried to repair my disk and this is the message I get: "Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use disk Utility to repair" How do I correctly perform this action?

I have a boot disk that needs repair and I would like to know the correct way to repair this disk using another install disc. I guess there is an issue with the volume free block count.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

Insert/connect that disk if needed, start up with the Option key held down, tab to it, and press Enter. If it's a Mac OS X install DVD, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. If it's a different Mac OS X installation, open the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder. Repair the drive.

i dont know what to do i try install itunes and this keeps coming up "itunes was not installed correctly. please reinstall itunes  error 7 (windows error 127)" what should i do?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • 'itunes was not installed correctly. please re-install. Error 7 (Windows 5)'

'itunes was not installed correctly. please re-install. Error 7 (Windows 5)'
literally tried EVERYTHING. uninstalled and reinstalled tons! downloaded revo uninstaller and uninstalled that way, followed all the steps i could find and it STILL won't work!
please please please can someone suggest something?!

I too had this problems (Windows 8.1).  A few weeks ago after the previous update before this version of itunes, I'd had a problem with the itunes store crashing and at that time I followed instructions to copy QTMovieWin.dll to the itunes folder, which fixed the store crashing.
Today I fixed the problem by:
    Delete QTMovieWin.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Uninstall ALL Apple Software using Control Panel / Programs and Features.  I uninstalled:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Application Support
    Apple Software Update
    Bonjour
    Delete the folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
    Restart the computer
    Reinstall QuickTime
    Reinstall iTunes
Everything works GREAT now, including the iTunes store.  You will not lose your media files, I got everything back, all my settings, playlists, etc.
