Whenever starting up my HD icon always gets moved to the bottom of screen

Every time I start up my computer the HD icon moves from the top right corner of the screen to the bottom right of the screen. This places it very close to the garbage can and I don't like it being moved there each time. I have cleaned up the desk top and had it in the top right corner but it will always be moved back to the bottom. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks

How long is your volume name? Have you changed the default icon and text size, or the default label position from bottom to right?
You'll find all of these options in a dialog opened in the Finder by the View > Show View Options menu item.

It helped earlier but it has come back again. I don't know what to do. I tried what you said earlier but this time even this is not working either. And quite intrestingly my phone won't turn off. I turn it off, it goes off and then restarts on its own and then keep giving the same message again and again.
Could it be a charging cable, is there any chance that the cable which was working fine one day could turn to be "incompatible" with iphone the other day????????

If you're talking about the "new" MacBook with retina display, it's normal (Especially when you're playing games or watching a movie) and like Stark_Hu said, it will start displaying the temperature warnings, slow the processor, and try to regain normal temperatures. I actually had that happen to me while I was playing the Sims 4 while having 3 Pages documents and 5 or so Safari pages open.
Now if you're talking about the Retina MacBook Pro, I would clean out the fan ports and everything because that doesn't seem too normal!

My New iPod gets stuck on the Apple logo screen.

I got a new ipod but there is one problem with it. For hours at a time it gets stuck on the apple logo screen. In this state it does not connect to my computer. I cannot get it to play music because everytime I manage to get it started up the apple logo screen pops up and shuts it down again.
Also, on the occasions where my computer DOES recognize my iPod, my iPod says it has about 1 GB of "other files" and about 1 gb of "audio files". I understand the audio but I don't remember putting anything onto my iPod that wasn't audio. What are the "other files" and how do I remove them?

Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or files that are on there if you are using the iPod as a removable storage device. If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

Help! When I publish from flash my swf gets cut at the bottom

Hi All,
I'm pretty new at Flash and I have been trying to solve this for the last coupleof days to no success. When I publish to html in flash my movie gets cut at the bottom which it really can't.
Is there anyway to resolve this?

The reason that I wanted to see the two screenshots was so that I could see the difference. I wanted to see what part was being cut off. In any case when I look at http://www.actualinteriors.com/full_uk.html and http://www.actualinteriors.com/full_uk.swf, I see the same thing. I don't see any part of the Flash movie being cut off in the published html page.
What browser are you using that you see the movie cut off?

Music keeps getting moved to the wrong folder

I use my external hard drive (E:) as my iTunes folder and most of the time it works just swimmingly. However, for some reason, it seems almost randomly the music will get moved to the iTunes music folder on my C drive.
The music is still indexed, but I don't want it taking up space on my C drive. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I am getting quite tired of moving my music back to it's original location.

Make sure that your external drive is up and running when launching iTunes: If iTunes can't access your ext. drive on startup, it will switch back to C:

Getting space at the bottom in the pdf output

I'm designing a pre-printed Invoice report using BI Pub. The template is in word and when I take pdf output I get space at the bottom, even though there is no space at the bottom in template(rtf).
The template fits propely in pre-printed paper, but when its rendered to pdf, all the the data is moving up creating space at the bottom and messing up the alignment.
I appreicate any help or comments from anyone who encountered this problem earlier.

I'm having the same issue on my iPad. So far I've noticed it on one pdf and I'm planning on deleting it and syncing it from my iTunes library again as soon as I get the chance. I'll post an update when I do.

Turn it off. While pressing and holding the Home button, connect it to your computer with iTunes open. Hopefully you will be able to restore it after that. If not, it requires service.

Why are the icons be moved to the bottom of the page once I shared it with acrobat.com The icons became very small, and it looks, that they has diapeared.

First boot into recovery and select Disk Utility>First Aid and repair the disk.
If there is no improvement, perform a Safe Boot:

If there is an improvement, then third party applications are probably the cause of the problem.

When i convert to pdf from word some of the letters are getting cut from the bottom

When i convert to pdf from word some of the letters are getting cut from the bottom. the letters appear perfect in word but in pdf these are getting cut from the bottom. when i increase teh spacing between lines then they are ok, but as need it for a book wherein I can't increase the space between lines.

Could you please explain me the work flow ?How are you trying to convert the PDF?
Is it happening with all the PDF' or any specific one ?
What exact version of Acrobat are you using?
Did you try repair your Acrobat ?If not please try repairing it and see if that works for you .
You might also try to check the update for your version of Acrobat .
Also ,you can go to preferences and under documents see if the first option .i.e Restore last view settings when Reopening documents is check marked or not .
Please try the above mentioned steps and see if that fixes the issue.

Go into the Music app and access the iTunes Store through it. You should on have to do so one time.
