Where am I able to find my CS5 scratch disk?

When I open a "new" project to create a logo, or whatever, It tells me that I am unable to do so cause my scratch disk is full. As well, it will NOT allow me to specify a back up scratch on my external hard drive for whatever reason (probably cause it's USB 2.0), it doesn't even show as being listed when I go to choose the scratch. Anyfrickingways, at this point, I'm just fed up, so what I'm wondering is this... Where and how can I find my scratch disk so that I can delete some files? I'm a newb, so any advice would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

What's the Best Photoshop CS5 Scratch Disk Setup for New MacPro 12 Core?

Hello all...
I'm awaiting delivery of a new MacPro 12 Core with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD drive (Bay1) + 2TB (Bay2) + 2TB (Bay3). Normally I would partition about 60GB of one of the 2TB drives to make an exclusive scratch disk for Photoshop to ensure optimum performance.... with the new spec MacPro and especially the new 512GB SSD, do I still need to do this..?
Any suggestions of comments most welcome... as I want to try to get my new machine set up as best I can before I start copying over my existing data and filling hard drives etc. Photoshop CS5 and Quark Express 8 are my two core apps that I use daily.

CS4, CS5, Scratch Disk and Prefs

I am on OSX10.6.8 with CS4 and CS5 (some of my actions only run on CS4, so I quit and launch back and forth).
I had my CS 4 and 5 Scratch Prefs set to a specific scratch partition on another local disk where I had a small partition dedicated towards it. I was doing some disk maintanance on that other disk and forget to go into CS and reset the scratch to the start-up disk. Now I cannot open CS4 or CS5 because it is looking for a scratch disk that does not exist.
Is a complete re-install the only fix, or is there a command line or other way other way than a complete re-install?

If you have larger troubles, hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file.

CS5 Scratch disk compression

Chris suggested the registry keys for CS5 for Windows 7 were available on the dvd or via a download.
I have searched my dvd and the Adobe site and cant find the registry key files for CS5 Photoshop on Windows 7. Can anyone please provide a link on the Adobe site to download these or if they are hidden in one of the on disk folders (no Goodies folder as in CS2) how I can find them. I would like to disable scratch disk compression in CS5 for Windows 7/64bit on my pc workstation.

Assigning a Scratch Disk in Indesign CS5

Hello,
I just installed CS5 after working with CS4. This may be a silly question... but I am wondering if there is a way to assign a scratch disk in Indesign CS5?
I have located something in Preferences > file handling - Document Recovery Data. I see that you can browse and select a folder for recovery data to go to but I don't think this is what I am looking for.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the scratch disk is used to temporarily store information such as things you've copied & pasted and helps alleviate memory issues? When I was working in CS4 I had a memory error issue and we fixed it but installing more memory and assigning an external hard drive specifically used as the scratch disk. I'm trrying to prevent any future issues...
In Indesign CS4 I use the Preferences Panel to set up the scratch disk location. I've also been able to set up the scratch disk in Photoshop CS5 but I'm not able to locate the same option in Indesign CS5.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The Apple support reference piqued my interest because I wasn't aware of memory management in OS X, except that Parallels and VMware Fusion offer the ability to favor the demands of the host OS (Mac OS X) or the hosted OS (like Windows, Linux, etc) - the favored one gets more resources, and the other gets the short end.
This Apple support note states it's for OS versions through 9.x, so there's no benefit to systems running InDesign.

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

Not able to find out the path where i need to place the .plx file on server

I have to make some changes in the PLL (library) file and compile it into it's .plx file and move the .plx to the server.
I am not able to find out the path where i need to place the .plx file on the server.
I have placed it in /iasapp01/app_name/library,but it is not taking it into effect.
Please help,if anyone knows about this,as to how to solve this issue

My Forms Version is 9.0.2 and the application server is 9iAS( 9.0.2)
The variable FORMS90_PATH in the .env file has the following entries

and i have placed the plx in the /iasapp01/app_name/fmx path,but somehow its not referencing it.

There is no upgrade version. The serial number that you use dictates whether or not the software is treated as an upgrade. If you purchased it as an upgrade then the serial number you have is an upgrade serial number and that will require you to provide proof that you qualify ro install/use the upgrade.

You would need CS4 to be compatible with a 32-bit operating system. That being said we no longer have the trial of Premiere CS4 available for download. If you purchased CS5 or 5.5 or purchase CS6 there is an option to obtain a copy of Premiere and After Effects CS4 depending on which software package you purchased.

Lost iPhone yesterday, battery died. Will I be able to find it?

My iPhone 5 died yesterday, and the last place I had it was on the train, searched all last night and today and I still can't find it, so I've either lost it at the station or someone's stolen it. While your BB may not, while in your possession, have been part of a BES environment, it nevertheless likely has an IT policy in place as this is one of the key symptoms of that fact. If it ever was part of BES, then there are specific steps that must be taken to remove the IT Policy...just removing it from BES does not remove the policy. The process to remove it is totally destructive, so be sure you back up first. Also, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore...rather, do a selective restore of only those things you need...if you do a full restore, you will simply put that IT Policy back onto your BB and be right back where you started.
