Where are addresses located?

My addresses disappeared from address book for some reason.
I made a back-up with Super-Duper. How can I get the info from my back-up onto my mac? Where is it? In library? Where?

In iPhoto '11 where are movies located? When we download photos & movies, they aren't apparent in the "Lst 12 months" & "Library" areas. They show up as spearate groupings in the "Last Import" but not in the History. Thanks.

Movies are stored in Events, like photos.

Select a movie in Last Import and Right-Click on it. Choose 'Show Event' from the menu. This will bring you to the Event containing the movie.
If the photo or movie is in Last Import, then it is in the Library somewhere, just not where you expect it to be. Usual causes: the date on your camera is wrong, and so the date on the photo is wrong, or the sorting of the Events has changed (View Menu -> Sort Events)

Click the desktop to activate Finder.
Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the menu bar and then select "Library" from the dropdown.
Library > Application Support > AddressBook

New Profile Layout - Where are photos located in the new layout

Photos are now located at the top of the Profile, to the right of the Display Photo. When viewing another user’s profile (Secondary Profile), this allows you to see who they are much more easily.
When viewing your profile (Primary Profile), an icon will display that reads, “Add Photos”. By clicking this icon, you will be taken to the photo upload page. Other users will not see this icon on your profile. If you have 6 or less photos on your profile, the photo area may seem a bit blank. Please upload more photos to complete your profile. Our research has shown that profiles with 6 or more photos receive two times the amount of messages! Also, we had previously given the option to display how many photos appeared on the profile. Now it is 5, plus the gallery link, with no option to change. This was done to show larger photos and remain consistent across profiles.

well Tagged, I really like the new clean look you have done well.I do have a couple of things to address, though. 1) Is there any reason why when signing in through yahoo browser, some features dont work. Like when i'm sending a comment to someone, will go through fine, but not if I add my own text, the comment does clear, period. However, if I use google, works fine, I personally do not like google and really use it rarely. So please...please....could you not configure so us people can all use these new features? 2) MORE GAMES!! I love being a member here, and 1 of the biggest reasons was because you did have some great activitys we could play. I spent much more time in here because of that. A few days ago, while I was on a run I got to see 1 picture quite often as that person was also in the run. This was a moving video of a female giving felito to a man and all that was visible to the eye, which was all of it, and really quite offensive. Yet you let members put up whatever, so id like an explanation as to why that it, please, for my family and many interacial couples that are paid members and being looked down on. Where are address book photos saved?

When I add an image to a contact I can drag-drop an image and select cropping etc., my question is: where does address book save the modified image?

from time to time they happen those APP ERROR 523, 205 and so on
With utilities like BBSAK or BBMCP, you still have access to the devices, but you can save/dump/delete .COD files and maybe input RIM command line interface commands (WOW!, thouhg)
So the point it is, .COD files looks like to do not contain the contacts.
Where are located the databases?
Is there any command line interface to dump them and save them in the case of APP ERRORs and white screens of death?

Hello,
Contacts are one of the databases stored in the protected AppMemory area, not accessible by any normal means. Rather, what one must do (IMHO) is practice good backup procedures...a recommended set for which is contained within the link in my auto-sig on this post.
Data recovery is not, and has never been, a reactive venture...protecting ones critical data is a matter of practicing good backup procedures on an ongoing basis.

LR4 Maps where are my locations saved

Working on lightroom on both my laptop and dektop. I use an external drive for my pictures and my LR4 catalog. All works fine except in map mode saved location (my locations) does not seem to be stored in the catalog. Where are they stored and can they travel on my hard drive?

Right, "My Locations" is a preset. You can store your presets with your catalog for use with multiple computers.

One note about this option, it changes how Lightroom behaves, telling it to look at a different location on you computer for your presets. It does not move your existing presets to that new location. So if you enable this preference setting, all of your presets will seem to disappear. You just need to move them to the new location that Lightroom is looking at.

Apple Midi loops... where are they located on my computer?

I'm wanting to use the Garage Band midi loops in other audio programs. Where can I find them on my computer? I have no problem locating to .aif loops, but the midi loops are very well hidden. Are they even accessible? Any tips, hints?

Are you talking about Photostream or are you just talking about importing your photos to your computer for safe storage? A sync does not do anything with photos in the Camera Roll. Syncing of photos goes in the other direction from the computer to the phone. The act of moving photos from the iPhone is an import, using whatever photo software you have on the computer, such as the Import utility for Windows computers and iPhoto for the Mac.

Where are files located

I recently had to wipe my hard drive and now I'm in the process of reinstalling all my software and what not. Before doing this I backed up my whole drive using Norton Ghost and saved it to a second hard drive along with all of my music files. However I would like to know what files in itunes contain my library and playslists, and where they are located. Can anybody help me?

I wish to clean up my Macbook pro. I deleted movie files in iTune library folder, which should sum up to 20 GB, but I am seeing 50 GB of movie. How can I find out where all movies are located?

Where are address Cards stored?

I just reformatted my computer and have installed and moved all of my apps and docs where I want them. However, I just noticed that I forgot to copy my address books info. I have a time machine backup of my old system on my external hd, but I don't know where address book stores the address card files. I searched in spotlight but I came up empty.

It's a single file, although there are indexes and backups, also.
Copy yourUserName/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data over to the same directory on you new system.
When you start Address Book, it will recreate all the indexes and other files needed. This is what I would do so that everything is fresh. However, you can copy the whole AddressBook folder, keeping all the old stuff.

Barb, I suggest that you look at the default location for XP identified in a PSE 4 FAQ. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalog Folders\<Catalog name>\Proxies. It is very likely that the location will be the same in PSE 5, but I don't currently have Offline files to verify that. Yes, I think that the same location was used for moved offline files and files that were originally imported in to the Catalog specifying Offline status. Where are fonts located in OA?

I'm trying to change the LAF for a responsibilty as per the Oracle® Application Framework Personalization Guide. I need to upload a new font for this purpose and change the settings accordingly. But, Im not able to find out the location of Font files to upload the new font file. Could someone please advise. Thanks in advance.

I can't find ibooks or maps..where are they located?

So I've downloaded the new update for OS X Mavericks, but I'm not seeing ibooks, or maps in my apps bar...I know it probably seems remedial, but I need help finding them.

It's important for you to know that the icons in the "apps bar" or "dock" are not the actual programs. Those icons are pointers (aliases) to the programs which are located in the Applications folder as Lanny above pointed out. You can make the pointer (alias) stay in the dock after you quit the program by right-clicking (control-clicking) the icon, selecting Options, then selecting Keep in Dock. Hopefully you also know that dragging an icon out of the dock makes it disappear in a cloud of smoke but it doesn't delete the actual program. The program remains in your Applications folder.

Where are audiobooks located after updating to iOS 7?

WIthin the Music app after updating to iOS 7 I am not seeing an option to view and select an audiobook that was purchased from iTunes. Am I missing something obvious?

Audiobooks were only meant for a one time download and not meant to be re-downloaded, but I spoke with an Apple Tech to retrieve lost purchases, and then they walked me through how to get them back:
Open iTunes on your computer
Make sure you are logged in using the same account you have set up on your apple device
Click on the Store tab on the top left
Click on Check for Available Downloads
It should start downloading your audiobooks for you here. Once they are downloaded, plug in your apple device to sync.
After your apple device is connected:
Click on the iPad/iPhone button on the top right of screen
Click the Books tab on the top and scroll down and check Sync Audiobooks box
Then click on the sync button at bottom of screen
If you click the Music tab, the Audiobooks tab should have reappeared and your books should be syncing back to your device.
I'm not sure if there was any help with re-posting those audiobooks on Apple's end before they told me where to find them, but I hope this helps. Otherwise, I'd contact Apple directly and have them assist you.
Also for the future they said they recommend transferring all purchases off the apple device via iTunes and backing up your iTunes library before doing any updates/upgrades.
