Sorry to put a non-interesting post up here, but where are
all the old posts. I am looking for the post in regards to saving
computation time with passing byte arrays back and forth between AS
and C. This was in a previous post, but I notice that posts have a
short shelf life here. Am I missing something???

Yes, this is particularly frustrating. Google still indexes
old posts so doing a search there may turn up a few results.

When you enable photo stream on your Mac, in imports photos currently in your photo stream. However, photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your device until you delete them. When you enable photo stream on your Mac, you will only receive photos added in the last 30 days, as the others are no longer in your photo stream.
If you want to get all your old photos on your Mac, save them to your camera roll (if they aren't already there) by opening your photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Once they are in your camera roll, import them to your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Another option would be to create a shared photo stream containing the older photos and invite yourself (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99). Then check Shared Photo Streams in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and you will see this shared photo stream on your Mac.

Am sooooooooo frustrated with Apple and iWorks. Unbelieveable they did this. What am I missing?

I supsect you "upgraded" (i.e., "updated") to Pages 5. Unfortiunately, Pages 5.0-5.1 does not support many features that were present in Pages 4.3. Consequently, when you use Pages 5.x to open a file created with Pages 4.x, unsupported features are (without wanring) stripped out. This includes, but is by no means limited to, images in headers/footers, merge fields, and bookmarks. And since almost all Applescript support is missing from Pages 5, you will find your ability to interact with many third-party pieces of software curtailed or completely ruined.
It could be worse: If you happened to have been using an earier version of Pages, you'll find that Paages 5 is unable to open those files at all. Presumbaly because of the limitations of Pages 5, Apple ships the software with fewer than half the number of templates that shipped with APges 4.x (about 60 compared to 130).
Note too that Pages 4.3 cannot edit documents created OR EDITED with Pages 5 (or Pages for icloud or Pages 2.x or ios). You can, however, export files created or edited with Pages 5 to "Pages 09" (i.e. Pages 4.3) format.
The good news is that since you had a previous version of Pages, it is still on your computer, in an iwork folder under Applications. Your original remplates should all still be there and should work with the earlier version of Pages.

Where are all my original posts?

Today i logged into the forum after some time and it asked me to enter a new screen name since sun was organizing its profile database and I should have a screen Id different from my sun login when i did that and clicked save what I noticed was that my whole profile changed and now when I click my name it shows member since April 24, 2004 and total posts 1. While I have been a member since Jun 2000. Where did all the count of my posts and my duke dollars and all that stuff go? I REALLY HATE IT.

Where are all the missing songs I already purchased?

Where are all my missing songs which I previously purchased?

I assumed I wouldn't need to explain as it seemed pretty obvious that a lot of people are asking the same question and I have yet to see a post by anyone who has gotten an answer.
Before the iCloud seemingly took over all my songs and playlists where stored in my phone and computer. When the transition from the old iTunes to the new iTunes with iCloud took place all the songs which I had previously loaded manually from CDs became just titles with no content. Also, seemingly arbitrary tracks which I had previously purchased from iTunes are no longer available. I realize I can download what is in the cloud whenever I am connected but two things are wrong here. My albums, tracks, and song which I had ripped into my iTunes library are gone as are many songs which I legitimately purchased. Regarding the latter of the two is there a record of my purchases and will I be credited and have those songs previously purchased made available again? Regarding the first issue, I saved those songs and may not have the CD anymore, where did they disappear to?

Where are all of my photo albums?

I just updated my computer & found that Iphoto is now gone & that Photos has replaced it. Where are all of my photo albums that I spent so much time organizing in Iphoto now? I can't find them anywhere in Photos. It's a very badly, designed system!

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I have a time capsule doing automatic backups on my iMac. I would not know which date to restore from as I just happened to notice the missing mail when I went to look for one of the old messages.
I tried your suggestion of checking the Mail/V2 files in finder, but it did not work. There are messages there, but they too only go back a year.
If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

OK, Where are all the Impulses!?

i got my copy of logic 8 yesterday, and so far i love it.
but i have just one bone to pick...where have all the old impulse responses for
space designer gone??? my favourites were bright spitty and pop snare and they are
nowhere to be found..i tried importing them from the old space designer file that
logic left on my computer, but it wouldent let me click them
any ideas?

no i do have loads of impulse presets in space designer but there all new ones
categorised differntly... Large Spaces, Medium Spaces, Small Spaces, Surround Spaces, HD Surround Spaces...
should all my other impulses be in there also then?
also...my EXS24 is looking incredibly sparse also... like none of the exs24 instruments i had
when using logic pro 7 are coming up in this exs24
come to think of it...theres alot of presets in the plug ins that are new...and im not seeing hardly any of the previous ones i had..

Where are all the buttons?

Dear abode users,
I'm new to the Adobe CC series, but I have used CS5. I'm trying to make a game with flash, like I did with CS5, but where are all the buttons for Flash. An example: the buttons when your are working with AS3, like the correct all your code button that it looks nice (button).
Is there a way to set it to the old style or something?

You are probably referring to the auto formatting buttons! They are not a part of Flash CC as of now but will be available soon in the forthcoming major update.

Where are all the techs

Im just wondering where are all the techs? One was suppose to come out the 19th. Then the 21st. Both times no one showed up! I still dont have a dial tone. Verizon ran a line test and said it was an outside problem. I have no phone to call them and there online chat is always down. Im pretty p'd,off! Why doesnt this company care at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your purchases won't automatically show in your new Mac's iTunes library. If you go into iTunes > Preferences and on the Store tab tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' then what you can redownload should show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against them - click on the cloud to download them. Or click on your name towards the top right of iTunes and then click Purchased on the popup, and you can redownload them from there.
If you've moved countries since buying the music, or if the rights-holders have removed them from the store, then you won't be able to redownload them. In that case if you still have your old computer then you could copy them over from that (e.g. via an external drive : How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support or via home sharing), or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them via File > Add Too Library

Hi,
Change the print settings manually by clicking the lowest drop-down within the print dialog (e.g. the application name, Copies & Pages within MSOffice.
Select Type/Quality and set the print quality as Normal.
You may seve the settings as a Preset from the Presets drop-down menu.
