Where are Connected Servers on the HD

Hello,
i have an ubuntu machine acting as an Active Directory (LDAPv3) with a Samba Domain. I can see the server's name in the Finder under the Shared pane, but I have no clue where this machine is on the local HD tree. I think it used to be /Network/Servers, but I also think that's obsolete since Leopard.
The reason I need to know is because in LDAP, I have to tell the server where the user's home directory should be mounted to.
i.e.
apple-user-homeDirectory: /Network/Servers/MY-Server/home/User
So where can I find the servers under the shared pane on the HD tree? I.e. in which folder? subfolder/

If you want to back them up, you can just right-click export from the tree.

Okay, Let's assume that Apple is indeed THAT foolish.......How does one get the photos from the phone to the PC and still use them?

The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

I own a 13-inch MacBook Pro and for the past day, my wifi on my laptop says I only have two bars of connection and is running very slow,but all of my other devices such as my iPhone and iPad are connecting perfectly to the wifi. How can I fix this? Thanks

FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
-Close FCP
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
-Empty your trash
Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.
EDIT: Or use the really simple explaination that X posted as I was typing.

Kintex 7(XC7K160T-2fbga484) transceiver differential pins MGTXTXP1_115 and MGTXTXN1_115 are connected inversely to the SFP+ connector.
Pin MGTXTXP1_115 is connected to SFP TXN pin of sfp connector.
Pin MGTXTXN1_115 is connected to SFP TXP pin of sfp connector.
By miss,i have routed it reversely. What are problems i can expect from this and please suggest some solutions for the same.

Where are my Apps from the cloud on iMac?

My son just got an iPod and I wanted to try to download my apps that are in the cloud to my IMac so the he can put them on his iPod. BUT, when I hook up my phone like to sync and select APPs, I only see the Apps currently on my phone. I can not see all the APPs in the cloud?

Where are you looking ? The Apps part of your Mac's iTunes library will only show the apps that you have on your Mac - unlike the Music, Movies and TV Shows part of your library the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tickbox on the Store tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) doesn't appear to work for apps.
You can redownload apps (if they are still in your country's store) on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
Or you can copy the apps that you have on your phone back from it via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that only copies the apps, not their content).

Where are they? When I connect my iPad it does'nt show up. How do I update apps if I can't find them.

In the upper left corner is a drop-down menu. There you can select the apps. To check for updates you have to use the button in the lower right corner.

If you setup iCloud and turned Photo Stream on, you can view them on other devices that have Photo Stream enabled.

When do photos upload to My Photo Stream?
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
On an iOS device, new photos you take will be automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. Note: My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
On your Mac, any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture will begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or, you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.

I have a MacBookPro, an iPad and an iMac using a wifi connection with an airport extreme base station. Lately I am having trouble with connection time outs. Right now the laptop and ipad are connected okay but the iMac has timed out and I can't reconnect

Please help. Just the last week or so (maybe since Apple released a new software update for my Airport, I keep getting kicked off the net and can't reconnect - it doesn't even show my wifi network in the list of available networks. I am considering resetting the airport as detailed in the manual. If I do this will it act as a new one and can I set it up as from the beginning. My Mac is running OSX 10.6.8 and if I try to use the airport setup assistant it tells me i can't use this version of the app with the version of my OS (because I have upgraded my OS ) I assume
I get a message saying my network requires a WPA password and when I put it in it says connection timeout - meanwhile here I am on my laptop and connecting okay to the net that way - so strange.
If I connect directly to the computer I have a good connection so it is not my ISP
I am 64 and a woman and I thought I was reasonably savvy having had Macs since 1992. This has me stumped and I really would like some advice - otherwise I think I'll just go iout andf buy a new airport.

Resetting the password you will need to do for each device... the utility cannot even see those old units.
So you will have to do it for each one.. think it through.. because as you change passwords the others will lose connection.. so start from the express which are wireless extending .. change those first.. and go back up the chain.. as each one changes it will drop off the network.. until you reach extreme and change that. Then you might need to reboot the whole network to get everything talking again. If something goes wrong.. just pluck that one out of the mix and plug in ethernet.. reset and redo the setup. That is my preferred method anyway.. do everything in isolation one by one. By ethernet and then nothing goes wrong.

You cannot partition a network disk. And apple provided no tools for it in the TC itself. You can pull the disk out and partition it but that voids your warranty. (although done with care who is to know).

On a workstation, every user gets his own JRE settings (for example, changed the proxy settings). But for a deployment package, I need to set the proxy settings differently from the Internet Explorer settings.
Can't find it in C:\documents and settings\Administrator (or the user dirs), the registry, C:\program files\java\... - So where are they kept?!

HT203442 So what do I do if my earphones ARE connected properly, and the player still stops?

My earphones are connected as they always have been. It worked going to work in the morning, and on the return trip home, the player started turning off... what gives? Has anyone found a fix? Apple Support says I have to pay $30 just to TALK to someone, no promises that they can fix anything. No offense, but I can buy a generic MP3 player for $30 that WILL work. This may be the last Apple product I buy...

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Where are Connections properties stored in SQL Developer on Windows XP?

I am amazed with the new SQL Developer with the simplicity it brings to SQL programmer. Does any one knows where SQL Developer stores all the added Connections? How can I use SQL Developer to read an existing tnsnames.ora file and set all the Connections properties?

The best thing to do is just export the connections you create to a file. Use the context menu to do this and then you can import and export the connections you create.
There is a TNS tab which should show your tns entries, if that's set up. If you don't see your tns entries in the drop list, then you need to set the path in you env variables. See the FAQ section on SQL Developer Exchange. http://sqldeveloper.oracle.com
