Where are downloads stored?

After downloading an attachment which is saved to the computer I can't find it. It is not in the download file.

If the problems is with Yahoo! mail attachments, the download might actually never be reaching your computer. Users who are using an older bookmark to access Yahoo! mail have reported this problem. Try accessing your mail using one of these:
* Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
* My Yahoo page: https://my.yahoo.com/
* Generic mail redirect: https://mail.yahoo.com/
Make sure to bookmark the new address if it works.
Some users have reported success with a different workaround, which is to go into Yahoo mail settings and switch to Basic mode.

  • Where are downloads stored on the phone?

    downloaded 2 files and can see them in app as downloads but cannot find them using file manager root explorer. need to move them to sdcard

    Ah, I think this might be caused by [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=596370 bug 596370]: If the file you click on is automatically opened by another application, Firefox will delete it when the browser closes. If you want to save the file permanently instead of just viewing it once, you can press-and-hold on the link and choose "Save Link" instead of just tapping it.
    This is a known problem with Firefox that I hope will be fixed in a future version.

  • Where are Applets stored in WinNT/IE5.5

    Hi Folks,
    A client is receiving an error saying (not exact)
    Java.Lang error cannot find ...class
    In Winnt\Downloaded Program Files, Java 1.3.1 is saying it is damaged.
    I have reinstalled IE 5.5 but the error remains.
    How can I reinstall Java, and/or the Applet.
    Where are Applets stored in WinNT/IE5.5?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Steve

    Before you reinstall your JRE/JVM have you tried it in other browsers such as Mozilla, Netscape Navigator, Opera, or others? IExp has taken a giant leap BACKWARDS (IMO) in that it doesn't ship the latest JVM, so it's probably just a browser issue. If its your own applet that you are trying to load, if it works in the appletviewer then there's nothing wrong with your JVM.

    SQL Developer 1.5 where are connections stored?

    The connections are in
    C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\SQL Developer/system1.5.0.53.38/o.jdeveloper.db.connection.11.1.1.0.22.49.35/connections.xml
    If you want to back them up, you can just right-click export from the tree.

    Where are passwords stored on my hard drive/ folder, can I access them and alter them. Can I add passwords to that file/ folder.

    Using the Saved Password Editor may be overkill for most users. The quickest way to manipulate saved passwords in Firefox is on the menu bar go to:
    Tools -> Options -> Security -> Saved Passwords -> Show Passwords

  • Where are downloaded materials on my iPad?

    I downloaded a free book from iTunes onto my iPad, but now I can't find it. Where are downloads placed on an iPad?

    In the case of an iBook, in the iBooks app. If you do not see it when you open the app, try tapping on Collections and checking any collections you have (some collections are set up by default).

  • Where are download lessons stored?

    I'm new to iMac and Garage Bank 09.
    I just downloaded the Guitar lessons and would like to back them up on external media just in case I loose them for some reason. The download has taken several hours and I'd sooner not have to download them again.
    Where does download store these files by default?
    Thanks

  • Where are services stored in Tiger?

    When I drag down an application's menu, particularly Finder, I see a list of 31 services (in some applications some services are greyed out). Many are for third party applications I rarely use.  I have looked in:
    ~/Library/Services --does not exist
    /System/Library/Services --has a couple of Apple system services but there's a lot more such as Script Editor which are not there.
    /Library/Services --contains a single third party service
    Where were services stored in Tiger OS and how do I remove ones I am not likely to use such as ClamXAV?  I poked around the insides of an application package or two and didn't see them listed there (at least not obviously).

    I still don't know where they are stored, some web site had mention of launchd. but I did find this:
    ServicesScrubber - http://manytricks.com/servicescrubber/ - manage Finder Services in pre-OSX10.6 (free)
    I kind of suspect services are hidden in the applications themselves, probably under some cryptic identifier. I have a few instances of multiple copies of an application on my computer and I noticed when using ServiceScrubber (SS) it sometimes flagged multiple occurrences of a service. In addition when I ran SS it took a bit of time to scan for services which makes me suspect it was doing a general drive scan of my multiple drives (some extra application copies are on different drives) rather than taking a look at just one or two targeted Services folders.
    It seems Apple made services a lot more up-front and manageable post Leopard (kind of a very strange thing for Apple to do given its post-Tiger trend towards its current mother-knows-best attitude).  There was mention of a "Services Manager" utility that I saw mentioned on a site dating from 2003 which suggested it was a very early utility but I could only find solid mention of it in a Mountain Lion or something version.  It seems it wasn't a very well advertised utility (kind of like all the goodies tucked away in Core Services folder) and was maybe something you had to download specially, and has now vanished for good into the dark pits of edgesuite.

  • Where are iBooks stored on the new Mavericks OS?

    I was trying to find where Apple is storing the iBooks on Mavericks.  I knew where it was before Mavericks.  I download a lot of books and pdfs from the Internet that I manually add to iBooks and I would like to know where they are being stored.  I am trying to get my wife's mac with the same books and mine.  Right now it is missing a few.  It would be easier to just find where they are stored and copy them than for me to go to all ot these websites and redownload everything.

    Creating an OS X-style "alias" is not enough. I haven't tried the following solution (and I won't do it myself as my HDD is big enough, sorry), but the correct way to do this kind of jobs on OS X is to create a "symlink", or "symbolic link", which is a UNIX-style alias (read more about it on Wikipedia if you'd like to). To put it short, you type/paste the following commands into Terminal.app, one at a time (you will be making changes to your system files and you will be prompted for your admin password, which is pretty dangerous if you don't understand the mechanisms—remember to quit iBooks.app first, make backups, and be prepared for any damages):
    sudo mv "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks" "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER";
    sudo ln -s "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    You should change "EXTERNAL DRIVE" to the name of your drive, and replace "PATH TO IBOOKS" with the path you want to store iBooks documents on your external drive. For instance, replacing "PATH TO IBOOKS" with "iBooks" simply creates a directory named "iBooks" under the root directory of your external drive with the iBooks data. Note that after doing this you won't be able to properly use iBooks without connecting the external drive.
    This might or might not work, but I hope this helps.
    (If this doesn't work, recover to the original state by quitting iBooks.app first, and type/paste the following into Terminal (you might again be prompted for your admin password):
    sudo rm -rf "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    sudo mv "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    This will most likely recover your original working state of iBooks.)

  • When I back up my musical files where are they stored?

    I got a nano a couple of years ago and put all my albums on it (synced through i-tunes). I hadn't used my nano for a few months and when I went back to it my library seemed to have been replaced.......is it possible that my teenage son overwrote the nano?. Where are my files actually backed up - would it be on the laptop I used during the backup process (even though I was signed on to I-tunes at the time) or are they in fact backed up remotely through the I-tunes site.
    It is all so confusing - and frustrating.
    I searched for my song library on my Click-free back up device but it does not seem to have stored the songs.....just stored the link to I-tunes.
    Could somebody direct me on how to solve my problem.
    cheers

    Your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and can be synced back to your nano as you did originally.  Have you opened iTunes and clicked on Music to see if your music is still there?

  • Where are versions stored in Bridge\Adobe Drive?

    We are currently working with CQ5 \ Bridge 5 \ Drive 3. Lets say I have video file inside CQ and I want to change the version with Bridge. The new video file is a lot smaller, say 30megs less. I copy the new old file over using Bridge and add it as a version. I can now revert back to the old version if I want to or just use the new one. The question is where is the larger file stored? I don't see it in the DAM any more, only see the new smaller file however. If I check the actual file inside the var\dam in CQ I can see variations but I don't know if these are the actual files.
    What I'm getting at is that if I need to replace say 400 larger video files with smaller ones are the large ones still stored some place on the CQ server and would I manual have to delete them? I just need to know where those extra files are stored.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the help. I was unable to find the "show package content" option inside the windows version of Bridge. For whatever reason it only seems to be a Mac option.
    Omke Oudeman wrote:
    The only file there is the newer version. So, that all comes back to my original quesiton what happens to the original file? Where is it stored. Is it cached some place on the CQ server and I need to delete the original from the versions?
    I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that. Don't know how CQ works but in general creating a new and smaller version should leave the original untouched.
    But I come to think of it as same behavior as in Lightroom, Aperture or iPhoto that uses a library structure.
    Don't know if you are on Mac or Windows. But on a Mac you can select this library file that itself shows only the icon (mostly in default picture or movie folder). But if used with large amount of files it can grow to quit a size. Using right mouse click gives the option to show package content and that reveals several folders with amongst them an original or master folder that contains the originals. (if you find them don't move them to other locations but copy, otherwise you can loose the functionality in CQ
    Hope this helps you on the right track.

  • Where are download files

    I have a new computer running Windows 7. I am using Firefox 6.0.2. The options window shows that Downloads are being saved to a folder called Downloads which has a path "Desktop/[MyName]/Downloads." When I open that path none of the files I have recently downloaded appear. Yet when I click "Ctl-J" they all show up. Where are the downloaded files?

    CM12 uses the Content Library to store content. During the installation of the DP role, a drive was specified (or auto was selected). Check the root of the drives for a folder called 'SCCMContentLib'. In here you'll find 3 sub folders that hold the content
    and metadata, etc (DataLib, FileLib, PkgLib). You cannot find the files by their regular name as CM renames them to avoid file duplication (single file storage).
    There are several blogs that explain how the new content library works... Here's a couple:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2013/10/29/understanding-the-configuration-manager-content-library.aspx
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrdogs/archive/2012/04/16/configmgr-2012-content-library-overview.aspx
    The ccmcache folder is for the client agent portion (not the DP role). When a deployment is received by the client, it eventually downloads the content if required...
