Where are EXS24 Factory Samples stored?

I am opening a LogicPro project I created a year ago, and the EXS24 sampler can't find several samples. It seems that several of the old Factory samples are no longer on my drive. I have done nothing to remove them. Could this have happened when upgrading to Mountain Lion and/or updating LogicPro?
Do I need to reinstall everything from the original Logic Studio DVD's?
I am also a little confused about where EXS24 presets are stored - or should be stored. I seem to lose contact with them quite often.
And also, when I go to Preferences in EXS24 and set "search samples" to "All volumes", save my project, quit Logic, open any project again - the setting is always back to "Local volume". I tried to delete LogicPro prefs etc. in Finder, but the problem is still there.
Any help is welcome!

The Logic samples are stored in
Library:Application Support:Logic:EXS Factory Samples
GarageBand AND Jampack samples are stored in:
Library:Application Support:GarageBand:Instrument Library:Sampler
No samples are stored in with the JamPack loops.

Are you sure there are differences between the Logic Studio 2 DVD's and the Download version of Logic Pro regarding what goes where?

  • Where are Answers and Dashboards stored?

If we deliver answers and dashboards to customers and they customize it further, how can they upgrade to next release's dashboard and answers?
I want to know where are dashboards and answers stored so that we can provide an upgrade script.

    Hi User,
If a user creates queries and dashboards they are stored in the Catalog, this is in the OracleBIData>Web>Catalog folder. If you drill down into thsi folder you eventually come to the individual xml files.
The repository, (.rpd) is in the OraceBI>Server>Repository folder, the two can be maintained independantly. If your customer wants new data sources or tables adding to their RPD, you can merge these changes using the Admin tool, any changes here will not affect existing content in the dashboards, as long as the existing presentation layer is not altered. Assuming they do not maintain the rpd themselves, they could just send you an existing one for you to edit then replace theirs?
What it sounds liek you are saying though, is that they will have added queries and dashboards to the web catalog, and that you will then add more queries and dashboard pages to a development catalog, in this case it's very easy to copy and paste new files from one catalog to the other using the catalog manager. Ther is no need to touch the actual xml. NEVER copy a new catalog over an existing catalog, if you are replacing the whole catalog, back it up then delete it from the Catalog folder and paste in the new one.
If you are upgrading the version of OBIEE, none of these items should be affected, make sure you back-up first.
I hope this clears it up.
    Regards
    Ed

Very many thanks Niel. My problem solved in less than five minutes. I've never had to use that command before. I found the folder and copied it - but I'm still no clearer as to where it was!
    Thanks again

where are all my photoes stored?

Assuming the default setting, your photos are stored in the iPhoto Library, in your Pictures folder.
Same assumption with iTunes: The Music folder.

  • Logic crashes when trying to load exs24 factory sample

I reinstalled OS X and Logic Pro (everything else except demo content DVD). Now Logic Pro crashes (freezes) when I'm trying to load an exs24 factory sample. Also, now I can't open my old projects that use those exs24 factory samples, Logic freezes when trying to load the project.
I can't proceed with my work until this problem is fixed. Please help!
I have installed the exact same Logic DVDs once before on this same laptop and the exs24 factory samples worked without any problems.
My Specs: Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.8, Logic 9.1.8
    Thanks!

    Hi,
not sure if it helps or not, but just a small correction on this: My exs24 GarageBand samples work fine.
And I guess the proper term what happens with factory samples is a hang crash..
    Cheers,

  • Where are all the settings stored?

When working with Data Modeler users can setup a couple of preferences.
E.g. windows size and position on desktop but others as well.
Where are all these settings stored?
Is it a file or in Win Registry?
How can I backup these (current) settings?
In addition I want to copy them onto another Data Modeler installation on another computer and use them over there as well.
Do 32bit and 64bit version access the same settings values?
    Thank you

    Hi,
In Tools -> Preferences->Data Modeler there are import/export buttons.
Use export to create file and import it on another computer.

  • Organising where the exs24 puts samples.

    hi.
i import rex files and lots of audio.
when the exs24 imports a rex it converts it into an aif file and puts it in the project folder.
i want to keep a library of all my audio for the future.
any idea how to keep the exs24 organised without having to do the long winded manual approach?
    thankyou....

  • Where are the actual documents stored in solution manager (KW)?

    Hello,
I have a question regarding Solution Manager and storing documentation.
When we in our process structure in a project uploads a word document
(as documentation), where are the file then physically stored?
I have checked the table SA01PHIO (a KW table), here I see a new entry every time I
upload a new word document (or other type of documentation). But this
table does not grow accordingly to the size of the word documents I
upload, so the physical document must be stored somewhere else in the
    database.
The description of field 'PHIO_ID' in table SA01PHIO is "Physical document", but since the field is of type char (size 32), then it can only be a link to the actual file?
We need to know where the documents are stored, so that we can plan our
storage strategy and database space management accordingly.
Anyone knows where the files are stored in the database?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Samuli,
    Thank you for your help.
After further searches, I have found exactly what I was looking for.
Samuli, as you said, documents are stored in table SACONT01, but I did not understand how they were stored, as all the data you have in this table is something like:
    FF06010102028000343130320000000074040000121F9D02A37D7259692086C2F0D7761017222...
So the information can be benefit to other people searching, I will share it here.
The string of alpha-numeric characters you see above is a "part" of the document.
Document data is cut into clusters, and stored in table SACONT01 (in field CLUSTD, coupled with CLUSTR).
In order to retrieve all the clusters for a given document, you need to get its logical ID (LOIO - LOgical Information on Object):
    - Select the document (SOLAR01/02 for projects, SOLMAN_DIRECTORY for solutions)
    - Enter DOC_INFO in the transaction code field
    - Copy the Object ID
In table SA01PHIO, retrieve the physical id(s) from the logical id (PHIO - PHysical Information on Object).
Search SACONT01 with the physical id(s).
    Just as an example:
    - 340 entries for a Word document (about 50 pages)
    - 57000 entries for a video (200 MB)
    Hope it will help.
    Regards,
    Rémi.
