Where are FOP/PDF template substution strings defined/generated?

Hi!
I am working with the FOP / PDF templates. Can anyone tell me where substitution strings like "#PRN_TEMPLATE_HEADER_ROW#" defined or generated?
What are all the substitution strings that can be used in FOP/PDF templates? What are their definitions?

Those strings are used when printing report regions. So when you have a report, you'll find a number of customization attributes on the print attributes page, those attributes correspond to these substitution strings. When you create your own generic columns XSL-FO report layout under Shared Components, all substitution strings are listed in the item level help.

I’m on Mac OS 10.6.8 and there it seems to be
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Metadata Templates
I think as of OS 10.7 Macintosh hides the Library, but one can get there by alt-clicking the Go-menu and selecting it from there … or something.

Where are my pdfs

Adobe recently updated and now hundreds of dollars worth of pdfs are gone! Where are my pdfs?!

Updating Reader will not touch your PDFs; most likely they are still exactly at the same location as they were before.
If you still have troubles finding your PDFs, tell us your operating system.

Where are custom pdf exports stored?

I have a new computer and migration assistant was too assisting. I have many custom pdf exports for various uses. I am having trouble finding them on my old mac. Can anyone tell me where to look?

You can check at the below location it may help :-
Users > [yourname] > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe PDF > Settings

Where are custom PDF page sizes stored?

I built a new computer due to a failing hard drive and I want to copy over several custom page sizes that I created. It took a while to get these to mesh properly with Autocad and I don't want to have to make them all over again if possible. Are these stored somewhere in one master file or as individual files that I can simply copy over to the new computer? Thanks.

The custom PDF page sizes are stored in the Windows Registry at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Forms"

Where are the pdf-files?

Yesterday when i visited java.sun i found a section containing a whole bunch of learning .pdf files ...web-services, j2ee, jsp, and so on free for downloading.. Now I have spent the last 20 minutes or so searching for it... Someone with a link perhaps?

Click on the "Tutorials and Code Camps" link.
Then open the tutorial of your choice. There is a link for downloading that tutorial.
Click this link. It will lead u 2 another page where u can download either PDF or HTML tutorial.
Some tutorials don't have the PDF version, so they may not have a link for the PDF download, though in the first page, even a PDF download link is given. Be patient...they'll come soon !!

Where are the OLAP_USER and OLAP_XS_ADMIN roles defined ?

I'm trying to install the OLAP Schema for evaluating OLAP.
GRANT olap_user, olap_xs_admin TO GLOBAL;
Error report -
SQL Error: ORA-01919: role 'OLAP_USER' does not exist
01919. 00000 - "role '%s' does not exist"
*Cause:    Role by that name does not exist.
We are running Oracle 11gR2 and OLAP is installed.

The OLAP_USER role is defined in
$ORACLE_HOME/olap/admin/xoqroles.sql
The OLAP_XS_ADMIN role is defined in
$ORACLE_HOME/olap/admin/awmxsrol.sql
Both of these SQL scripts are run during the installation of the OLAP option and should be available.
Which user are you connect with when you did the grant?
Finally, as a double check, please run the query as the sys user:
In SQL*PLUS:

Make sure you have valid rows for APS, XOQ. You will also have a row for AMD which is not
shown below since I am running a 12.1 instance and AMD is no longer installed as part of the OLAP Option.
If you do not see valid rows for APS and XOQ then something did not run correctly for the installation of the
OLAP Option. You need to be enterprise edition of the database for the OLAP Option also.

Too Many Clouds. Where are my PDFs?

I saved some PDFs to the cloud using Acrobat Document Cloud. They do not appear in my Creative Cloud assets. If these are different, and if DC is a separate subscription, how do I move these files to the Cloud I am already subscribed to?

Where are is the TEMPLATE library in Motion?

We have created some custom templates for some titles on edit call 1. We wish to have the same exported templates also on Cell 2 & 3. How could we export these or where could we find these fresh created templates on edit Cell 1?
Is there a way to export the templates to a shared volume on the Xraid storage?

Sorry, I'm not at my Motion machine right now to check the help system but I'm certain there is a way to save templates and to export them. I'd start by searching for those two terms in the online help system while you're waiting for the heavy hitters to check today's posts.

[SOLVED] Where are standard library functions like getchar() defined?

I'm new to programming, and I'm curious about the definitions of standard library functions like getchar(), but when I look in stdio.h, all I see are function prototypes. Where is the actual definition? Is it built into the compiler?

Thank you, I think I understand now. Correct me if I'm wrong: stdio.c is source code for glibc, which is compiled into a shared object file that is distributed with the glibc package. My only question would then be: how does the compiler know to link to the object file when it's not explicitly stated. For example when I compile a program, why do I not have to type:
gcc program.c /usr/lib/libc.so
and why does
gcc program.c
suffice?

Where is Archived PDF stored in Adobe Database

For reporting and storage purposes I would like to store the PDFs received by the LiveCycle Server as a part of a workflow.
I would like to know where are the current archived PDFs stored ? or what would be the best way to store the PDF (as a PDF) in our Oracle Database ?

Once the process is complete, in Workspace's tracking tab, where are the PDFs generated from ? If they are generated on the fly, I would like to know how do the Digital Signatures show ? I thought the DocumentForm variable saves the document as is.

I'd like to know: Where is the content (e.g. tasks) of the UWL stored? I nearly found everything in the CM (discussions, feedback, and so on), but no UWL-content. Where are the items stored, that can be generated with the following iView? =>com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.UWL

I don't know how much this will help you, but the workflow repository in KM seems to contain (at least some of) the UWL information. However, when attempting to view the UWL content directly from within KM, the content isn't displayable. To test, I created a subscription on that repository and updated the progress of a task assigned to me. A new item was created in the workflow repository at that time, but to reiterate, it contained no displayable content.
Other than that, I know of no other avenue within KM through which any kind of UWL tasks can be accessed. If there is a way, hopefully someone else can shed more light on this topic.

Defining Multiple Groups in PDF template

I am having trouble defining multiple groups in my pdf template. I would like to set up multiple groups for printing po data such as (G_LINES, G_SHIPMENTS, etc.) How is this done in Acrobat? I am using 7.0 Professional. I have created BODY START and BODY END text fields and inserted the <?rep_field="BODY_START"?> and <?rep_field="BODY_END"?> syntax into the Tooltip area as instructed in the user's guide. I have entered the <?rep_field="T1_G1"?> syntax for each element in my lines group. This works fine. But, how do I set up the group for the shipment information?

Pages 08 Template images -where are they saved?

I know Pages 08 does not have clip art but I like many of the pictures on the templates. I want to use some of the template images (like the cat.tiff or frog.tiff) on a blank document. Copying & pasting works but I'd rather be able to see all the template tiffs at once. Where are the template images(tiffs) located on my hard drive. Is there a specific iWork folder I can find them in?

The images are "buried" in each template which is buried in the Pages application. You can find them by Control- or right-clicking on the Pages application > Show package contents > Contents > Resources > Templates & then the folder for the template category you want. Then Control- or right-clicking on the template icon > Show package contents > Contents where you will find the actual images.
Or you can just copy & paste from an open template.

Excel sheets with defined print areas to pdf

Hello
I am trying to convert an Excel file with multiple sheets and defined print areas to pdf using Automator. The problem is that the action "Convert Format of Excel Files" prints everything on all sheets (even information outside the defined print areas).
Does anyone have a solution to this?
