Where are iBooks in finder

Hello,
I recently purchased some iBooks in the bookshop (apple) and can read them on my laptop and iMac, but I wonder where the files are in finder.
i tried to locate them in the Library, application support and in the soft package contents, but did not find anything.
thenks

Ok in my Macbook they are here:
HDD > Users > "Your USer Name" > Library > Containers > com.apple.BKAgentService > Data > Documents > iBooks Books
Now iBooks saves epubs names on a code generate by the App, so no clue which books is the one you need by the file name.
Hope it helps

  • Where are iBooks Settings?

    My other good iPhone readers, eReader and Goodreader both have settings to be able to change the font, font size, font color and background color and scrolling... where are iBook settings.. All I see is 'original' no use for reading on iPhone.

    They are all in the books themselves - top right click on the brightness, font size, background colour setting buttons.

  • Where are iBook files

    I need to access the iBook or ebook files to have text to speech work.  Where are the files? How do I access outside iBook app?

    You can see the ibooks bought from Apple on your computer's iTunes (they go into the Books part of your library if you download or re-download them there) but they can only be read in the iBooks app on an iOS device. Are you wanting to access them in another app ?

  • Where are iBooks stored on the new Mavericks OS?

    I was trying to find where Apple is storing the iBooks on Mavericks.  I knew where it was before Mavericks.  I download a lot of books and pdfs from the Internet that I manually add to iBooks and I would like to know where they are being stored.  I am trying to get my wife's mac with the same books and mine.  Right now it is missing a few.  It would be easier to just find where they are stored and copy them than for me to go to all ot these websites and redownload everything.

    Creating an OS X-style "alias" is not enough. I haven't tried the following solution (and I won't do it myself as my HDD is big enough, sorry), but the correct way to do this kind of jobs on OS X is to create a "symlink", or "symbolic link", which is a UNIX-style alias (read more about it on Wikipedia if you'd like to). To put it short, you type/paste the following commands into Terminal.app, one at a time (you will be making changes to your system files and you will be prompted for your admin password, which is pretty dangerous if you don't understand the mechanisms—remember to quit iBooks.app first, make backups, and be prepared for any damages):
    sudo mv "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks" "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER";
    sudo ln -s "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    You should change "EXTERNAL DRIVE" to the name of your drive, and replace "PATH TO IBOOKS" with the path you want to store iBooks documents on your external drive. For instance, replacing "PATH TO IBOOKS" with "iBooks" simply creates a directory named "iBooks" under the root directory of your external drive with the iBooks data. Note that after doing this you won't be able to properly use iBooks without connecting the external drive.
    This might or might not work, but I hope this helps.
    (If this doesn't work, recover to the original state by quitting iBooks.app first, and type/paste the following into Terminal (you might again be prompted for your admin password):
    sudo rm -rf "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    sudo mv "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    This will most likely recover your original working state of iBooks.)

  • Hi there, I pay for extra iCloud space online. However I cannot seem to find any of my photos or account? As my iPod/iPhone only hold 1000 pictures, where are the previous pictures? And how can I access them?

    You cannot use iCloud Storage to suppliment your iPad. They are mainly used to backup iPad.
    Free up space on iPad
    Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.

    The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.

  • Where are last documents in Mavericks finder?

    Hi There
    Firsty post on here but looking for advice on where (in the new finder on Mavericks) I can see my list of last documents. Previously it used to list them by day/week etc and it was a really convenient feature when I opened finder to see the actual docs listed in that way.
    I know I can change each of my folders to 'arrange by last opened' which goes some way to what I want, but this still has everything categorised within individual folders so I still have to click several times to get a single document.
    I basiclally want to open finder then just click once if hte document I am looking for was recently used. I am 99% sure this is how finder used to work before Mavericks??
    Thanks in advance for any help with this!
    Claire

    Folder that don't start with "LabVIEW" are MSI folders. These are defined by Microsoft. The "Program Files Common" refers to the "Common Files" folder inside of "Program Files". You can also see the list here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/811FACF92E678065862576660077CE21. There is no shortcut for the "Public Documents" folder accessible from the NI installer.

  • I upgraded to the new operating system, OS Yosemite. When I open iPhoto, I can't find my pictures that were downloaded over the last two years. Where are they?

    I upgraded operating systems and now I can't find my photos in iPhoto. There are only random photos, but I can't find all the other albums I had. Where are they?

    Silly question first... when "deleting duplicates", did you delete the picturs or music folders? :}
    Are the "Previous system" folders still there? Are the photos/music inside the recent Previous folder?
    Have you tried doing a search for the files?
    Do you have a new account set up, that you are now signed in to, rather than your old account?

  • Where are my files in finder?

    Where are all my pictures in iPhoto's files located in Finder?

    Your iPhoto image files are stored in your iPhoto libary, a package, that is managed by iPhoto and by default stored in your Pictures folder.
    To see the image files in the Finder, select a photo in iPhoto and use the command "File > Reveal in Finder".  But remember, that you must not modify or move the photos using the Finder in any way, once they have been imported to iPhoto. Otherwise you will corrupt the library.

    Very many thanks Niel. My problem solved in less than five minutes. I've never had to use that command before. I found the folder and copied it - but I'm still no clearer as to where it was!
    Thanks again

    They should be in the Videos app :
    If they aren't in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

  • I am using Garageband and saving my tunes as iTunes files but can´t find them in iTunes on my computer after syncing. Where are they?

    I am using Garageband and saving my tunes as iTunes files but can´t find them in iTunes on my computer after syncing. Where are they?

    My answer in the older thread is still valid
    Maybe the "iTunes Music" folder is hidden.
    Please open Terminal and issue the following command
    ls -ladO /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Music
    you should get a line similar to this
    drwxrwxrwx  13 yourusername  staff  hidden 442 12 Mar 21:49 /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music
    Numbers, date and time may differ.
    If you see hidden then the folder is hidden. To unhide "iTunes Music", in Terminal issue the following command
    chflags nohidden /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Music

  • Where are the finder prefs located?

    Finder prefs used to be located in Library>Prefs>com.apple.plist.
    Where are they located in Lion......don't see them in the above location?

    Icons on my Finder toolbar are about 1/3 smaller than they were in 10.6. Display resolution is the same as before.
    Below is my Finder bar in 10.6 and underneath it is my Fiinder bar in 10.7. The outline (snapshot) area of the toolbars are the same in both pics. Repairing the permissions fix'd the problem for about an hour yesterday but then it reverted back.
    I just noticed that the screenshots don't really show anything.....take my word for it, the icons are smaller. Yes, I'm looking for the Finder plist. When I go to the Prefs folder I don't see com.apple.finder.plist.
