Where are mobile Illustrator draw files stored for later use in Desktop Illustrator?

Hello,
who can tell me, where Mobile Illustrator draw vector files are stored for later use in Desktop Illustrator? In the cloud there are only .png and .jpg files. The Files are sent immediately to the desktop software, but when I want to use them later, I cannot find them anymore.

What exactly are your steps?
Create new file in Draw
Draw something
Send to Illustrator
... and then? Does Illustrator open on the desktop? What do you do with the Draw file?

  • Where are the auto recovery files stored for Visio 2010?

I have auto recovery set for every 5 minutes.  I have been working on a file that has been saved several times a day.  Today when just moving a shape Viso 2010 crashed after I had been working on the file for over 2 hours.  Auto recovery popped
up every 5 minutes indicating it was saving the file.  After the crash the ony file I could find was the file as it was when I first opened it this AM.  None of the work done today was saved.
Did auto recovery completely fail?  Where can I look for the auto recovery file?
I have not done a reboot because I am afraid that if the file exits it will be gone for sure if I reboot.  Any suggestions are welcome.
There must be a temp file or something that I can look for but not sure what the extension would be or the location.
    Hopefully someone here can help.
    thanks,

How do I know? You state the the auto-save file extension is .vxd - that's the Visio document XML format.
You can change this in File -> Options -> Save
As for the crashes, are there any messages when a crash occurs?
Check that the video drivers you have are the latest, try a different screen resolution to see if that changes anything and turn off or change any screen accelerators.

My mistake - the file format is .vsd - standard visio format

  • Where are SAPI 5 voice files stored in OS X?

Where are SAPI 5 voice files stored in OS X? I'd like to add others from commercial sites such as Ivona.com. Thoughts?

    Hi,
I believe the folder is still in the same place, but it seems that the Home/Library folder is hidden (i.e. you cannot see a Library folder at all it if you go to Home). At least I can't
Try a search in Finder. Search for "mail" under "Library" (and select Kind > Folder). This should bring up a list of results from which you can get to the Mail folder. Hope that helps!

  • Where are Pantone color library file locations for InDesign CC?

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find this information. It should be a quick search in the regular Help system.
I'd really like to find the file locations for Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC too, because I need to update my Pantone libraries, but every place I can find to save them does not seem to be the default location, so I end up with a really long dropdown menu of strangely duplicated library names, and I have no idea how to clean it up or where the program is looking to give me that list.
As far as I can tell, the default libraries are located whereever that first set is. The lower sets must be somewhere else, but I don't know where, because I've deleted all Pantone sets but one that I could find, but I can still see them (and the other non-pantone color books) duplicated in the lower sets.
Please help! Also, Adobe, if you see this, this information should be READILY and EASILY found through the main Help menu in any Adobe product.

      This was the correct answer:

@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

  • Where are "documents to go" files stored when I perform a Hotsync with my windows xp system?

I just upgraded my palm OS to the latest version on my Treo 755p.  Prior to upgrading I did a verizon wireless sync and a hotsync with my windows XP based PC.  I list all my "documents to go" files that were stored on my phone.  They did not reappear when I did Hotsync after the update.  They were all supposed to be Hotsynced.
Where are these files stored on my computer?  How do I avoid this from happening again?

I have never seen a file like that in My Documents.  If my doucments are lost how do I set up a file on my PC where the documents are stored when I perform a hotsync?

  • Where are "Braid Game" save files stored?

    Hello!
I had Braid installed in my os x snow. I then went to preferences and copy everything related to braid I found there.
Now I've upgraded to Lion but have no idea where should I put those files in order for my new Braid.app recognize them as the previous files, and continue my game.
    Any help?
    Thanks!

When you import the plug-in, its contents are taken and put in a repository table. So when you go to operate on the plug-in, you don't need access to the filesystem of a particular OMS (of which you could have multiple), you only need access to the repository.
The easiest way to get at one of the report files is to export the plug-in and unjar the MPA it gets put in. The file naming will make it a little hard to figure out which is the file you want, but they'll all be there...

  • Where are apple mail attachment files stored in OS 10.9

I am trying to locate an attachment file from a recently deleted message.  The message is no longer in my trash, so I can't access the file through Mail.  In the past, there was usually an archived copy somewhere on my hard drive, but it seems to have moved in my most recent update of Mac OSX.  It used to be in the Library folder in my user folder, but now there is no Library folder in that location.  Where do I find these files?

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Check the Mail folder/V2.

  • Where are local SQLite .db-files stored?

    I'm trying out this tutorial:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/flex/quickstart/simple_sql_database.html
I'm using the approach where I'm creating a local database on
    disk;
    var dbFile:File =
    File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath("DBSample.db");
This makes me believe that in the project's folder, there
should be a DBSample.db somewhere. If not there, then at least on
    the harddrive SOMEWHERE.
    But I cannot find it.
I tried exporting it to an actual AIR app and installed that,
and it worked just fine. I was hoping to see a .db file in the
applications folder (program\LocalDatabaseTest, for example in my
    case).
    What gives?
Also, if someone can answer this, perhaps you can answer my
    second question:
What would be a good way to view the contents of a SQLite .db
file? I'm used to work with mysql and phpMyAdmin, and I'd like a
    similar way to manage databases.

The folder is in (for windows) documents and
    settings\[username]\applicationdata
and is usually a fully qualified namespace of your filename.
Not sure where the db is (is it part of the exercise to create it -
I would think so). A fuller explanation of the folder is at
    http://manewc.com/2008/09/08/air-application-storage-directory/
As far as a SQLite client, you can find some at sqlite.org
but I like an AIR application called Lita.

  • Where are Thunderbird e-mail files stored on my computer?

I have read the suggested articles and followed the instructions as best I can, but I still cannot figure out how to get to profile (the path revealed in "Troubleshooting Information," by clicking "show folder," was not what I found on my computer---one element in the supposed path, "AppData," simply was not there in the tree) unless I somehow missed a hidden clue. Furthermore, even if I manage to get to profile, I still don't comprehend how to move my e-mail files from there to a location on my computer that is easy to get to and to back up along with all my other data files.
Perhaps my level of knowledge is too modest here because the assumption is that I know more than I actually do know. If that is the case, I apologize, but that does not resolve the issue. I wonder why the folders containing e-mails are not placed in an obvious and handy location to begin with, but that of course is a different matter.
But right now, all I want to do is to (1) get to profile, (2) understand how to back up the actual profile (or profiles, if I ever have more than one, which I don't quite understand, either), and (3) comprehend how to separate out and move the e-mail files/folders located there to an easily accessible and obvious (to me) location. I would greatly appreciate some basic-level instruction on this.
(I might mention that because it did not meet my needs generally, and also because it was most inconveniently down periodically, otherwise difficult to use far too frequently, and administered with shockingly scant attention to customer satisfaction despite its full-bore commercial nature, I abandoned AT&T/Yahoo web mail for a computer-resident POP client. I chose Thunderbird on the recommendation of a knowledgeable friend. I had used Outlook with relatively good success quite some time ago but have a fundamental aversion to patronizing Microsoft when I do not absolutely have to do so. That is why I am trying with much energy to get Thunderbird to work for me with some reasonable degree of convenience and functionality.)
    Thank you.

    ''re: A folder-copy isn't easy to read,''
Only if you need to read a specific email as emails are not stored in separate .eml files. They are stored in mbox files which look like a long text document containing emails written one after the other in the order downloaded. But for backing up and reinstalling a Profle which contains all your data, it is stored exactly as required for reinstalling. It also stores all your preferences and account details and so on - eg: address books.
''re: if its not compressed it also includes all deleted files.''
What gnospen actually means is 'compacted' not compressed. They are two entirely different things which should not be confused. You can easily empty the Deleted and Junk folders and then compact all your folders before backing up. This resolves this if it is of a concern to you.
As gnospen says, ImportExportTools is an excellent tool for backing up emails - not your Profile, not your account settings and preferences and not your address books.
You can choose to use to store emails as separate .eml files or HTML or plain text format or as a single text file or pdf format or export the entire folder in mbox format with or with subfolders.
If you want to use ImportExportTools, Thunderbird needs to running, I would advise you go into Offline mode whilst backing up as you do not want your folders synchronising whilst performing this task.
Here is a link to ImportExporttools addon:
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/
I suppose what you need to determine is what do you want to backup.
I would advise, if you want all your prefernces, account settings, address books and emails saved in one go, then copy the Profile to create a backup or use MozBackup tool.
If you only want to backup emails then use ImportExportTools addon tool.
If not backing up your entire profile, but you do want to keep a backup of address books then you can go to Address Book and select the address book, then Tools > Export as either LDIF or comma separated .csv file.
Note: comma separated .csv files can be opened by other programs such as Excel and can also be easily imported into any email client or back into Thunderbird.

  • Where are the JSP  Java Files stored in WL8?

    Hi there,
i'm looking for the .java-Files generated from the .jsp-File. I have already set the property "JSPKeep Generated".
              Thanks for your help
              cheers immo

I don't know if this varies by WLS version, and you haven't specified which version you are using, but in my WLS 8.1SP2 distribution, they are stored at:

  • Where Are The Custom Preset Files Stored?

I deleted FCS 2 before installing FCS 3 and unfortunately all of my custom presets in Compressor were lost.
I have got Time Machine with the old Compressor but I don't know where the old preset files are stored.
Ideally I would like to copy them to the new version as re-writing them will be a pain, assuming I can still remember what they were!

    Ian,
Now aren't you glad you went to the trouble of setting up Time Machine?

  • Where are quicktime player temp files stored?

I accidentally left audio recording overnight and when I clicked stop, it gave me an error message and did not give me the option to save.  Without having a filename to search for, I have no idea on how to recover the audio file.  Is there a temp folder somewhere that might hold it?  Any help would be appreciated.

    The file is gone.
Once QuickTime showed the error message the file was destroyed.

  • Where are the iPhone backup files stored on a PC?

I recently downloaded the new iOS software to my phone....when I went to restore from my last backup -- my computer shut down half way through and everytime I've tried since, it won't work.  I think my home computer has a virus that is causing this so I was hoping I could copy the backup file and load it into my iTunes on my work computer and restore my phone at work?  Any idea how to do that or if it will work?  I had over 1,000 pictures and videos that I really don't want to lose....(yes yes I know I learned my lesson to download them....but they are of my kids and I really don't want to lose them!)

The backup files are in the same place on windows 8, but the folder is hidden by default.  You can view it by pressing Windows + R, then pasting in "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\USERS\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup"
Or you can tell Windows to show hidden files and folders.  In Explorer go to View menu -> Options button -> View tab and then check "Show hidden files, folders and drives".  Then you can browse to the folder as normal.  This will make all hidden files and folders visible, but you can set the option back if you don't like it.
    I hope that helps!
