Where are my backed up contacts (iMac)

I can not for the life of me find my backed up contacts on my iMac.  How do I go about finding them in Finder?

Hi imagerenos,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
By default, backup files are saved on your Mac computer to /Users/<name>/Documents/BlackBerry Backups.
You can change the location that backup files are saved in the BlackBerry Desktop Software. In the Menu, click Preferences. In the Backup Location section, click Change. Navigate to the new location and click Open.
Hope this helps,
-FS

  • Where are my backed up bookmarks on my external drive?

    Firefox backup issue:
This is concerning restoring my Bookmarks after having to replace my laptop PC. For the past several years I’ve been backing up my laptop to an external hard drive. I’ve always included the User subdirectory in that backup. The User/Dave/Appdata/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/Profile s/d is included. Today I needed to restore bookmarks from a prior backup in April, 2012 after reading the Firefox help on this subject, I accessed my external drive and looked in the s/d mentioned above. However when I clicked on the “wp83jzms.default” file, instead of seeing a list of backup dates from which to choose, I only saw files with “Cache” and “unclassifier” in the file name. Where are the backed up bookmarks from that date?
I also noticed that a different backup had stopped capturing files part way into the Local s/d so that the Mozilla s/d was not written to backup. Wonder what’s up there?
    I’m using Windows 7 and Firefox 13.0.1

That is the wrong profile folder and only stores the cache files.
You need the profile folder part in AppData\Roaming to get the main profile folder files.

  • Where are stored / located the contacts list on the blackberry device

    Dear support staff
from time to time they happen those APP ERROR 523, 205 and so on
With utilities like BBSAK or BBMCP, you still have access to the devices, but you can save/dump/delete .COD files and maybe input RIM command line interface commands (WOW!, thouhg)
So the point it is, .COD files looks like to do not contain the contacts.
    Where are located the databases?
Is there any command line interface to dump them and save them in the case of APP ERRORs and white screens of death?
Thank you for your kind hints and replies
    Cor

    Hello,
Contacts are one of the databases stored in the protected AppMemory area, not accessible by any normal means. Rather, what one must do (IMHO) is practice good backup procedures...a recommended set for which is contained within the link in my auto-sig on this post.
Data recovery is not, and has never been, a reactive venture...protecting ones critical data is a matter of practicing good backup procedures on an ongoing basis.
    Good luck!

  • Where are my backed up apps after upgrade?

I just up graded my I Touch to 4.2 and it said my apps were backed up prior to the upgrade. However, now I cannot find them. When I sync to the store they do not auto load. Any ideas where they are and how I can get my apps back? Many of them were games that I had made quite a bit of progress on and I don't want to start from scratch.

Your apps should still be on your iPod. If you are looking for their icons be aware that iOS 4.2.1 adds the Game Center app. This may have caused a new app screen to be inserted with just the Game Center icon. Your apps may now be on app screens after that. You can reorganize your App icons to your liking to correct this.

  • Where are the back ups?

    Hi all
I'm new to this forum and as my Mac has recently been causing me an increasing amount of problems it's likely that I shall be frequenting the site more often, I shall look forward to your assistance and who knows I might even be able to share some of my experiences and knowledge...
Anyway to the problem at hand.......
I've been running Time Machine since November 08.
I turned on the Mac today and it says it's lost connection with the backup disk and hasn't backed up for 10 days. For what reason only it knows since the external drive hadn't been touch or interferred with in anyway.
Anyhow, the drive wasn't visible in Finder so I unplugged then replugged it and it is now seen.
    However.......
When I go into Time Machine there are only hourly back ups
    from 20.00hrs 10/02/09
    to 9.00hrs 11/02/09
Okay it's the 21st today and it hasn't backed up for 10 days but where is everything preceding 20.00hrs 10/02/09?
    I'm slightly worried.

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
    A few questions:
How much data is on your internal HD (ie, how much is TM backing-up)?
How big is your TM drive, and how much space is available now?
Download the +Time Machine Buddy+ widget. It shows the messages from your logs for one TM backup run at a time, in a small window.
Navigate to the first backup today (after the 10-day gap). Copy and post the messages here (be sure to get them all, as sometimes they overflow the small window).
With those messages, and the sizes above, we can figure out what's going on.

  • Where are by backed up photos?

A little over two years ago, I purchased an iPod touch 5. I used it a lot and took hundreds of pictures that are important to me. A few months ago, my iPod stopped working. When I checked the backup history, I saw that my iPod was backed up before it stopped working. On my PC, I can find the iCloud photostreams, but nothing else. If they are still accessible, where can I find the other photos?

Drag the music and photo libraries to the new drive, launch iTunes and iPhoto with the Option key held down, and point them to that instance of the libraries.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
    * If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    * If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

  • Where are my backed up photos in Time Machine?

I'm trying to retrieve some photos that I have backed up in Time Machine but they are not there. Here is what I've been doing.
    1. open up iTunes
2.turn on my external hard drive.
    3. Go to File>browse Backups
I can always see the photos in my library in time machine "Today" , but when I try to view the library from earlier backups it just says "loading photos" but no photos ever load.
What is going on here? Any help would be appreciated.

    1. open up iTunes
I assume you mean iPhoto not iTunes - you do want to use iPhoto for photos
2.turn on my external hard drive.
I've not done this but since yo have having problems I would have the drive on before launching iPhoto (although it really should not make a difference)

How long have you waited? How is your TM drive connected? Is it possible that youare not waiting long enough?

  • Where are my backed up Apps?

My ipod broke (obvious seeing as its an apple product) I did a back up (right click, transfer purchases, then back up) and clicked sync in the bottom right just to be safe... I got my replacement ipod today and charged it then updated to newest software then right clicked the ipod and "restore from back up" and NO APPS.. I have gone into the app sections and tryed "sync" again and restoring again but nothing.. 11 pages of app's (most pages where all folders full with app's)?? where did they go?

When you did the transfer purchases command, did you check to make sure that they all were transferred?
The backup that itunes performs does not included any itunes content.
You would have had to transfer the purchases.
Unlike music you can redownload apps:

  • Where are people backing up now?

I have had my backups -- much valued service, I'd say -- in the MobileMe iDisk files that are soon to be closed.  I've mirrored some files just to be sure I have a remote backup.
Now, it appears that my iCloud service will back up some documents (darned few, it seems), e-mail on MacMail but not Outlook, and my biggest fear is that I won't have backup at all if something happens to my TimeMachine backup located at the same place as my machine.  This is not a good situation.
So, as MobileMe's iDisk goes away, I no longer have a remote location for my remote backups?
Are there practical solutions, or does Apple simply assume that my stuff on iPhone, iPad, and apps are all that I need to be concerned with?

Get an external disk and use it for a backup.  Either use time machine or a complete bootable backup solution by backing up your drive to the external with any number of backup utilities.  Some people do both.  Popular backup programs are Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper.  There are many others.
My preferend solution is to use CCC to make bootable backups.  I don't use TM because you cannot boot from TM backups unlike a bootable backup.

  • Where are OVI PC software contact details stored?

I had a problem with my laptop, afterwards OVI desktop software kept crashing, it would load and say it needed to update then crash. At this point I could see my first entry in Contacts so i know the information is still on my computer, also i cannot install a new version of OVI.
I recently lost my phone and need to retrieve my contacts, so I decided to install OVI onto another laptop, is there a file in my Nokia OVI folders on the old laptop that contains all my contacts that I can move over to the other computer with the working OVI software?
    Thanks

Doesn't the content copier file relate to the Nokia PC Suite?
I'm looking for the similar file for the Nokia OVI PC Suite, this one---

  • Where and how are songs backed up when u get a back up prompt?

After downloading several songs from the itunes store a message popped up with "Thank you for purchasing itunes songs, would you like to back up your purhased items?"
Where are they backed up to? My hard drive or do we get space on their server?

As Cander said, this backup option that is offered is only to burn a data CD/DVD. It is really important to have a regular backup program in place, especially for your purchases as store policy states that downloads can only be done once.

  • I had my iPhone 4S stolen last week and I am going to sync it to my computer to get everything back on it. I have a new computer, i know how to copy music over to the new computer, but where are the contacts stored on the computer?

    Hi there,
Can anyone help me!? I know how to copy my music library to my new computer but struggling with copying the contacts etc. Where do I find the contacts folder on my old computer?
    Thanks

I had my iPhone 4S stolen last week and I am going to sync it to my computer to get everything back on it.
If it is stolen , how are you going to sync it?
You mean you got a new iPhone and you want to sync it to your computer?
    Plug it in.
I know how to copy my music library to my new computer
    New computer??? Or new iPhone?
I know how to copy my music library to my new computer but struggling with copying the contacts etc. Where do I find the contacts folder on my old computer?
I suggest you simply copy your entire User folder from old computer to new computer. This way all your data (Music, photos, contacts, emails, calendars, documents, etc.)  goes across.
